@bold: totally agree. She is one real teen character😆😳 Yes,she has grey shades and I can totally relate to her, almost all her attempts. And I am happy that such characters are written in this show, And about time, thing is I believe soon she will grow and become the person in narration. 😳Originally posted by: WeRockTheWorld
Glad you liked it...
@braveheartdoc brought out a very important point of Naina's character. We feel her acts are selfish, which is true...but its important to understand why a person behaves in that manner. This is what makes Naina's character so believable and so real. She is not typical heroin who will sacrifice everything just to look good. She has her shades of grey when it comes to her core needs and she tries to get it in most nicest manner...the thing about Naina is that until you study her closely you are not able to see the grey shade of selfishness and naughtiness...who ever wrote this character has done a wonderful job!!
U kno im always a fan of ur writeups...n whenever i see ur name out of nowwhere...i stop doin all my work n wud run to hve a first look...Btw i want to kno y u keep on disappearing like this?😳

Yes teenage love is very selfish I know myself.😆 During that time only you and your fantasy matter. So for me,it's not love. It can be said infatuation, crush and other names but love as in ishq is very different in this sense. The passion and depth is not present in Naina's fantasy till now. Hopefully she will achieve it one dayYes I want Sameer to overcome all of this and rectify his mistakes and even maker her fall for him in true senses, not just for the outer shell of him. 😳

Every individuals character formation depends on the upbringing and the environment in which he or she is brought up. If you see Naina as a child , she has every one except her mom. But these people whom she calls as family do they give her the affection that she needs??
-Her dad ,we know is biased to her brother. He likes her but has an archaic approach to girl child.
-Her Chacha , loves her but he has his limitations as he is not her primary guardian
-Her Chachi, loves her ..tries her level best to treat her like her own but not exactly the same. When it comes to spending for Naina you can clearly see she has her reservation.
-Tauji not a very expressive person. A total patriarch . Cant expect much from him
-Tayiji, for her Naina is a burden to the family. She has very openly said that Naina is not lucky as her birth took her mother away from the family.
-Then the siblings. Very affectionate to each other but do they stand up as a team ?? . NOPE.
Example: Preethi got caught changing the marks , she blamed Niana.
Arjun was the one who stole the key , he didn't even tell the truth when he saw his sister being pulled into the mess. A smart brother would keep his sister away from problems involving other guys.
Pralay , is the dear one of the family primarily because of Tayiji. He gets away with anything.
So this is her house. Now tell me how would this child learn to survive in such a household?? Imagine from the age of 2 years till the current age how she would have managed. She as an individual has likes and dislikes. Do you think that was completely taken care? Lack of her mother has played a huge part in her character formation. Even after having a dad , she lives with her chacha chachi. Basically this girl is living out of others mercy!! But the smart one understood a basic rule be good and others will be good to you. Will appreciate you. Study well and be perfect you will get noticed.Being good... yes ...but what is the definition of good... thats what matters... if we go by her circumstances since her birth... then she idealises her chachaji... he never has made her feel that she isnt his daughter... he always says that i have 3 daughters... mercy...not from them atleast... i can agree from Taiji's point of view...but not Chacha Chachi... despite all their love and affection and his guidance...she should atleast know what it means to be good...thats my pov...im sorry Ashwathy if you dont agree 😳
Don't tell lie but you can definitely manipulate to survive the situation is her mantra!! This can be understood , when she tells Preethi that if she plans to cheat by changing the marks atleast use a pen that is similar to that of teachers. She doesn't want to harm any one but she is cautious that she survives and she gets her pie of happiness
When it comes to a choice of your loved one against someone else you would choose your loved one. That is can also be called prioritization. Example : You have to go for a movie with your husband but then you get a call from your house saying one of your relatives not well. You choose to meet someone sick over movie. Does that mean love for husband is less. Now when we look from husband's POV , he took leave /came early from office spent time and money to be with his wife..but she cant make it..so would you call it wife being selfish?? Wife will expect her husband to understand the situation...understanding is also another attribute of a relationship.Thats what i said... understanding has to be from both the sides... why always the others are expected to understand her... she is happy... they should know...and be happy with her...she is depressed...they all should know and be depressed with her when she isnt even able to tell them bcoz she is guilty in her heart for loving a wrong person according to her... you are made to recall someone you hate now by a small child through songs...you slap him... aise nahi hota yaar... she too needs to understand that if she is in a family... which she has been staying since childhood...she is used to that atmosphere... like she once said... hume to thappad khaane ki aadat hai... to aap ko bhi understand karna padega na...
Naina not choosing to tell about Arjun is because she prioritized her fathers pride above all. She did tell Sameer that she knows he hasn't stolen the paper. She also expects Sameer to understand her silence abt this topic ...but will have to see how Sameer would take it.We need to wait for the truth to come out in front of sameer... till then i wont say how would he react now😕
Naina not telling Preethi about her affection for Sameer. Its obvious , she is scared if family comes to know then things will be blown out . Considering the orthodox nature and the approach that they have to concept of love , she very well knows it will backfire. Preethi many a times have given away when under pressure. Be it the yellow Saree she got for Pooja or changing Marks on mark sheet.Ok she doesnt share... all the circumstances and all... but aap uspe chillao and baad mein wo hi tumhe sorry bole... now that she is wanting to live for her family... atleast ek apology to kar sakti thi...if she considered that important😳But she didnt
She wanted to keep that feeling of being loved and cared close to her heart and enjoy the moment. She was feeling loved and she was feeling that Sameer is all for her and no one else.
Regarding Swathi , her wanting to play Juliet was pure womanly Jealousy rather than being selfish. She couldn't see him with anyone else. To top it all she knew that Sameer didn't love Swathi. She wanted him all to herself , to such an extant she was willing to take the role of a "Sepahi !!But she wanted to remove swati from the play and she made sure she was caught for not completing the homework and do it in class...so that she doesnt reach on time... this was all so harsh on her best friend since 10 years
Decisions that she took till date , she considered her happiness but she never thought it would backfire on others to such an extant. One thing about Naina is , she has solution for all her problems , but these solutions are more temporary in nature . She just wants to solve and move on. Never thinks about its affect in the long run. Which she will eventually learn. That's one learning she will do soon. .Before trying to solve a problem we always need to think how it would affect the other person...and im sure she would learn to think this way😊
She needs to survive in a family that is purely archaic in thoughts and very orthodox, she has the right to be happy . For once she chose her happiness above others by allowing her heart to wander around this happy go lucky handsome boy. Somewhere deep down in her heart she wanted to live his life. She fell not just for his looks but also for his I don't care attitude. He was getting all the attention in spite of not being perfect like her. So you see the contrast?? Naina is a teenager not an adult . She has lots of learning to do and am sure she will turn out to be a smart and intelligent woman.Ashwathy this post was all meant to bring out her character traits and when i wrote the entire analysis... i sadly didn't get any quality in her which makes her the so called goody goody person... thats why i made this post... its never meant to hurt anyones sentiments😊what i tried to bring out was that she kept herself...her wish...her opinion above everything and everyone...and a person who is important for her decision at one point loses that importance according to her wish and mood... aur maine kya galat kaha aap bataao😳
We all need to understand , that being selfish is a part of being alive. Every living being has a grey shade of selfishness. It is required to survive , to face challenges and get what you want in life. But having said that one needs to understand ,the extant of grey in the selfish act is what makes or breaks a situation. It also defines mental strength of an individual.
Keeping the above lines in mind , the question you need to ask is
"Why should Naina be sorry for wanting what she thinks she deserves and not being afraid of walking away to get it ??She shouldn't be ... as long as its not hurting others😊
"Does she have it in her to get the right balance so that her selfish act doesnt harm her loved ones..that includes Sameer too??!!"
Well...ONLY TIME CAN SAY !!She doesnt have it now...would have it later... thats what this post was meant to bring out😊

but one thing was done wrong by CVs, not putting blame on any character. they need to seriously end the false accusations saga now as its not about being teen or anything. a lie can harm a student's career and CVs should show some care towards this, thats it.
