Please a request
Don't start bashing me just by the title and have patience to read through the post as I genuinely wish to analyse the character Naina so far in the show.😊
Hope I can justify the title to this post😊
Disclaimer: these are just my thoughts on her character so far and I still love both Sameer and Naina and i love YUDKBH still😃
So let me start from the beginning😉
Naina is a girl who probably lost her mother when she was too young and her family...mainly her Chacha and Chachi have brought her up. They have never been shown to discriminate amongst their own daughters and Naina... more so I can say that they both have given her the love that she needed from her own parents. They even trust her and support her much more than Preeti👏
Regarding Preeti... she has been a sister cum friend to Naina since childhood much before Swati became her friend (it was mentioned again and again that dus saal ki dosti Naina when Swati was angry with her). So practically Naina's first friend cum sister is Preeti...😃
Now one fine day a boy enters her life whom she likes from the very first looks at him... kind of love at first sight for her which all of us would like to mention that as her crush😛
Never was Sameer interested in her before the bet started but she was head over heels for him... she saved him during the cigarette incident, while actually they were not even friends.😊
Then came the head boy competition in which Sameer was competing with her own brother... she still went and taught Sameer so that he can become the head boy... she in teaching him forgot that this might lead to her brother losing the competition and her father being angry with Arjun... she just thought of her own crush that time.
Then during the key incident...she saw key falling from his pocket and she went and revealed everything without knowing the truth...when it was her father's reputation...which almost led to his expulsion and start of this nonsense bet😳
When later she came to know that he is innocent and real culprit is her brother...she never went and told him or her father that Arjun stole the papers... she should have atleast told Sameer that who is the one who actually stole the papers...at that point her brother was important than Sameer😳
Next incident...Romeo and Juliet play... she was desperate to play Juliet but when she was angry with Sameer for stealing the papers, she withdrew her name and Swati got a chance to be Juliet...But once she came to know about his innocence she tried to play Juliet even without thinking once about Swati who had worked so hard for this role
She again placed her so called love above her friendship.
She never told Swati about her growing friendship with Sameer despite knowing that she too likes Sameer... its only after Swati herself comes to know that she tries to manao her...and then she decides that she wont go to Mt Abu if Swati isn't going... I agree that she was hesitant to tell her but if she really trusted her...she would have told her😳
Swati helped her get a permission for the trip (she is a true friend actually)... but what about Preeti?
She was ready to skip her trip for Swati as she was angry with her for hiding her relation with Sameer...but Preeti...she has been her sister cum friend since childhood....Never did she try to get a permission for her too... she was only happy that she would be getting time to spend with Sameer...( maybe she too wanted that she doesn't go so that she doesn't come to know about Sameer....I might be wrong here and I want to be wrong😊) That again meant that she thought only about her and her time with Sameer while she totally ignored Preeti once again.😔
In Mt Abu also...she brought Sameer inside their room without even thinking once about Swati and her reputation...do you as a friend don't have the responsibility to take care of your best friend's respect and reputation? Sorry I don't take such an act from anyone...whatever blind love you are into... a girl's self respect is the most important😃
After coming from Mt Abu...Preeti has been on the recieving end of all her anger and tantrums...she is in a shocked state...agreed...but being in a heartbroken state and anger doesn't provide you the right to hurt your loved ones... what was preeti's fault in this?
If you are really angry with someone...go to him and give him a thappad and vent out your anger on him... the people who love you dearly... they are worried and you should think once about them😊
She bashed Preeti with words like...teri fenki hui sorry...and all that... she should have gone to her and atleast given her a hug...maybe that helped her as well...her anger could have been calmed down with the love of her sister
So for me I feel that Naina as a character is the one who always keeps her thoughts, wishes and opinions above everyone else... we all have been saying that she is much mature as compared to Sameer...but while I was contemplating after the episode yday...I realised that everytime she has behaved as if she and only she herself that matters to her... no one else... not even one incident where she kept anyone except Sameer above her own self😳
