Lovely summary of the whole episode dixie. And very nice discussions all around.

It was a milestone episode in terms of the story narrative. In the initial episodes we saw the friend Sameer who sacrificed for his friends. Yesterday we once again saw that Sameer. Does this mean the story is gonna turn and we are going to see the emergence of the lover Sameer?s

We also saw him acknowledge Naina as his true friend. He was in awe of her and he has already placed her on a pedestal. Yet he hesitated to call this Love. When M and P asked him, this time he paused and gave it more thought before he said Naina was a very good friend and nothing more. I think somewhere he doesn't want to give that special friendship a name. The moment he does that it becomes a different kind of relationship and till date his experience with relationships has been less than satisfactory. In fact I clearly remember him telling himself not to get emotionally attached to Naina because that would lead to love. To him that was a path to heartbreak again. So he is trying hard to rein in his emotions. But he has now easily accepted her as a friend or special friend. That level of emotional involvement he can handle. And he can be in control with friendship but love gets messy.

But what he has never gauged is the depth of Naina's emotions. Even yesterday when talking up the sweater he feels that he will confess and explain and everything will be normal. Does he think Naina can simply switch off her emotions and be only a friend? He doesn't think that Naina will look at it as a betrayal of trust, irrespective of whenand how she comes to know the truth. In a way he is giving her the same treatment that as a child he got from his mother who broke the most sacred mother-child bond of love and trust. And with the bet revelation he is doing the same to Naina. I think this immature thinking on his part stems from his own lack of experience of love or family in his life. So it will be interesting to see how he crossers the threshold of friendship into love because he must for this story to move forward. From this point I feel Sameer will have to drive the story because it's a dead end for Naina. Right? She loved and she lost but now he need to realize it and win her back. Let's see what happens...

i luv that shot of Sam stopping her...Poore Haq se man... wat an authority !!! Not even a word n she stayed quiet...See how flawless n impeccable that trust is...!n Yaar wat an obedient wife...!!!! N him stopping her dad from hitting her...hmmm..i was reminded of that beating incident when she tuk for his Nanu...he couldnt tolerate then n stud helpless...this time he jumped in to save her from whom, her very own dad...this signifies...he has taken precedence ...the reins of that very control n priority over all her other relationships which stands secondary to him in line n in position...!!that same right which is exclusively handed by a fathers gal to his son inlaw to protect n take care of his daughter at the time of marraige...The promise!!! ...See how our Sam baba without any acknowledgment is just right there!!!!..

The monologue scene was again very beautiful n one of the highlights ...The guy is pure LOVE❤️...!n just wishing this difficult phase n ordeal for the lovers end soon ...!n they unite in happiness n an overwhelming tight hug...kab hoga bhai?!

Meher , Naina's father and people around missed to notice what they communicated with each other...Sameer Stopping Naina and she obediently put her head down and stood there...waiting for him to decide for them...This is normally scene only between life partner not even betwn lovers...He rose like an Alpha male to protect his life partner...loved it...this child might not appear perfect like Arjun..whom Rakesh is proud about...bt according to me Sameer has characters which every girl will dream to see in their life partner...Arjun didn't stand up for Shiffali when those boys humiliated her...asked her to ignore...where as Sameer stood up for her image and even protected her from her fathers anger...hats off to Sameer...that's how a man should be!! We are not perfect , so we might make mistakes ...but what matters is do we learn from it and correct it...nd that's what Sameer did... 👏

I completely agree. Sameer is a thoroughbred, a true gentleman. He appears bratty and uncouth to those who do not bother to scratch beyond the surface of this remarkable young man. This includes almost everyone except Nanu, M, P and now Naina. And yes, I loved how he pounced upon the situation and made sure he used his bad boy image so that no harm comes to Naina. His subconscious has already marked her as his and knows what her place is in his life. He is going to be one amazing life partner who would respect his spouse, encourage her in her goals, support her in every endeavor and serenade her with his poetry. What more can any girl ask for? But only if he is willing to let that girl into his heart and take the risk of falling in love!

It was nice to see sameer taking side of naina.
I won't compare sameer and Arjun. I have always felt Arjun as a spineless person where as Sameer stands for what is right.

Thank you ! I love reading your comments, gives a different perspective always.

@bold: Yes, that pause actually got me... He kind of knows that Pandit was right. You are right, he probably doesn't want to give it a name as love. As long as it is friendship it will be easy to handle. He knows how to handle friendships. But, love he doesn't know and doesn't want to handle because of the attachment, ummed. What is Naina leaves him just like his mother ?

He does seem to think that because he is going to confess his mistake she being Naina having a big heart will forgive him. She loves him anyways so she will forgive him for his mistake. He is in for a big shock of his life where for the first time he will have to work hard and really hard to win her back as his friend first.

Sony just posted a preview of tonight's episode. From that small clip again I got the feeling that the Rakesh drama was added on recently, perhaps after the other Samaina scenes were shot. Hence Naina didnt mention anything about Taiyab Ali's behavior when she went to give him the sweater.

It was going fine towards the bet revelation and heartbreak so I hope they have not messed with their original story in order to add unnecessary high drama
