Raman : Welcome ishitha

Ishitha just looks at them and Raman has his most charming smile for her.

Ishitha (ST) : Muruga, please give me strength to think rationally.

Raman (ST) : Matarani,, bus kuch bhi karke iss madrasan ko mere paas bhej dijiye.

All of them clap and she enters her apartment.

Part 11

Ishitha is surprised to see the house decorated as per her choice. The walls were painted in the colours she liked. The curtains and living room sets exactly matched her taste. Even a small pooja was created the way she wanted. The entire house had lilies that welcomed her.

She was surprised and immediately knew that Raman had put in a lot of effort and time to get the place to her liking.

She looked at him : Thank you so much for all the efforts. But actually iski zaroorat nahi thi..

Raman : Haan muje bhi laga iski koi zaroorat nahi thi.. kyun ki kuch hi dinon mein main tumhe ghar le jaoonga.. par tab tak apni manmani kar lena..

Ishitha is shocked at his comment and gives a stern look and is about to say something.

He quickly shuts her : Jaantha hoon tumhari shart ko.. par aaj tak tumhari suni jo aaj sunoonga.. Main tho koshish jaari rakhoonga.. He winks at her with his smile as always

She does not retort back but Thanks everyone.

Ishitha : thank you so much ki aap logon ne ye sab kiya. Ab aage main apne ghar ko sambhal loongi..

Everyone leaves and Raman is the last.

As he goes towards the door he looks back and says : Ishitha, jokes apart. Kuch chahiye to pooch lena. Hum sab yahin hain.. hum sab tumhare liye kuch bhi kar sakthe hain.

Ishitha just nods her head..

Nirvaan and ishitha are busy setting up their belongings when the door bell goes.

Ishitha goes to open and sees Raman standing there with a food trolley. He has brought lunch for them. Even before she can react he walks in and Nirvaan says: arre wah, khana aa gaya.. thank you uncle.. I was famished.

Ishitha lets it go as Nirvaan was hungry and there was no food.

All the kids joined them and they had lunch together..

Time was passing like this. Everybody was trying to get close to Ishitha. She was just not letting them get to her emotionally. She was being a typical neighbor to them. She was there for the kids but not for anybody else.

Days were passing. It is now a week since Ishitha has moved into thehouse..

Raman is trying to make her feel nice in his own small specials ways. He wishes a good morning with his most charming smile. He every now and then walks in to check if she needs anything. He accompanies his kids whenever they go to meet Ishitha. He is making his presence felt around her always

The kids are happy as Ishitha is now with them in a different house and on a different floor though. Toshiji and Amma drop by everyafternoon for tea with Ishitha. They keep telling her everything that is happening so that she involves herself. They want her to volunteer to help them or talk to them. Ishitha is just being a neighbor.

One Friday night Raman is back from office a little late. He parks his car and notices Nirvaan sitting on the society bench looking up at the sky. In the last few days Raman and Nirvaan are becoming cordial with each other. Nirvaan is now seeing a different Raman and changing his opinion slowly.

Raman walks towards him and puts his hand on his shoulder : Kya baat hain? Yahan kyun baithe ho?

Nirvaan quickly wipes his tears and Raman is shocked seeing him crying. He immediately sits next to him and says : kya hua? Bathao mujhe

Nirvaan howls and cries and says : Uncle, amma ne hamare liye itna kuch kiya aur humne unke liye kuch nahin. Jab unko meri zaroorat thi tab mein unke paas nahi tha. Kya fayda aise bte ka ki vo apne ma ka care bhi nahi kar saktha

Raman : Nirvaan you are scaring me? Batao kya baath hain. Ishitha ko kuch huwa hai kya?

Nirvaan : Uncle, Amma to 15 mahino se theek se soyi bhi nahi hain. Har rath ko roro ke behosh ho jathi hain. Vo behoshi hi unki neend hain. Muje aaj ye patha chala.

Raman is shocked to hear this and says : Theek se bathao ki kya huwa

Nirvaan : Uncle jab se main aaya hoon maine dekha amma kuch tablets le rahi hain. Jab maine pucha to unhone muje taal diya. Phir maine notice kiya ki unke haath aajkal bahuth kaapthe hain. They shiver slightly.. Wo kuch cheezein padad bhi nahi pathi. Phir maine unke tablets ka naam dekkar net pe check kiya. Usme lika tha ki ye nervous disability ke first stage ke tablets hain. Main darr gaya. Maine unke mobile se unke doctor ko phone kiya aur unhone bathaya ki amma ki halath karab hain. Wo so nahin pathi aur uski wajah se unki nervous system weak ho rahi hain. Agar aisa hi chala to unhe stroke bhi aa saktha aur paralysis bhi.

Raman is devastated to know that his madrasan is undergoing so much of medical trauma and he is not aware ofit.

Raman : ye kya ho gaya. Uss aurat ne sirf hum sab ko diya hain.. aur aaj vo iss halath mein akeli hain..kaisa pathi hoon main.

Nirvaan : Uncle, ab yeh sochne ka waqt nahin hain. Humme kuch karna padega.. amma ko main aise nahin chod saktha.

Raman : Haan, Nirvaan, tu theek keh raha hain.. tu ek kaam kar.. uss doctor se appointment le le.. kal ka.. main aur tum jaake sab kuch jaan lenge.. doctor hume ye bhi bataye ki aage kya karna hain.. tab tak ye baath sirf hum dono ke beech rahegi.

Nirvaan nods and Raman hugs him. He walks up to his house slowly. After half an hour he gets a message from Nirvaan that they need to go to the doctor at 10am the next day.

Raman gets up the next morning and prays to Matarani that things should go fine. He came down and his entire family was asking him for breakfast. He just left, met Nirvaan and took him along to the doctor.

They were ushered in sharp at 10.

Doc : Hello Mr. Bhalla, Hi Nirvaan.

Nirvaan : Doctor, maine kal aapse baath ki thi amma ke bare mein. Kya huwa

Doc: you mean Ishitha.

Raman : Ji doctor,

Doctor : Raman you can call me Rajeev. Main Ishitha ka dosth hoon.

Raman : Thanks Rajeev, pls batao Ishitha kaisi hain.

Rajeev : actually Raman main bahuth gusse mein tha ki ek pati aisa kaise ho saktha hain ki usko patha bhi nahin ki uski biwi bimaar hain

Raman hangs his head in shame and guilt. A tear escapes from his eyes.

Rajeev : par main tume judge nahi karoonga. Ishitha meri dost hain aur wo tumse pyaar karthi hain. Wo respect main doonga.

Raman is surprised that Rajeev thinks ishitha loves him

Raman : Ishitha mujse pyaaar karthi hain? He asks hesitantly and softly

Rajeev : haan, tumse bahut pyaar karthi hain.. vo toot chuki hain, mar chuki hain tumhari kadwi baton se.. ab vo jeena nahi chahthi. She feels she is worthless. She is not worthy of anything. Tumhe patha hain jab wo counselor se milthi hain vo sirt tumhari aur bachchon ki baathein karthi hain. Wo dheere dheere paagal ho rahi hain. Vo apni ek alag si duniya mein rehthi hain. Vo apne aap ko iss duniya se alag rakthi hain. Vo kisi bhi insaan se ya cheez se judna nahin chahthi.

Raman has a blank expression. He is not able to comprehend what is happening.

Rajeev : Raman, tum nahin samje right. Raman nods yes

Rajeev : Raman, ishitha ab iss duniya mein jeeena nahi chahthi. Uske hisaab se vo ek manhoos hain. vo samajthi hain ki agar vo kisi se jude uss insaan ko sirf dukh milega aur vo barbaadh ho jayega. Usko lagtha hain ki usko sabse door rahna chahiye. Issliya bahut mushkil se vo sab se rukhi rukhi rehthi hain. this is causing stress for her. Par usko pyaar chahiye. Vo apni kayali duniya main apne bachchon ke saath kush hain. issliye jab hum baath bhi Karen vo sunthi nahin hain. she is just there but not there fully. Vo koi ehsaas nahi rakthi issliye tum koshish bhi karlo to vo pigal nahi payegi .. kyon ki usne apne dil or dimag ko samja diya hain ki vo ek manhoos aurat hain.

Raman is shattered and is crying continuously. : Meri ek baath ka itna asar huwa hain. Ab main kya karoon. Rajeev, please help. Muje meri Ishitha waapis chahiye.

Rajeev : I understand Raman, but it is not easy. Hume dheere dheere ispe kaam karna padega. Hume pehle usse ghar mein involve karna padega. Wo sab kaam me ulji rahegi to vo sab kuch bhoolkar pehle jaise ho payegi.. par ab vo involve nahin hona chahthi. Maine suna ki vo bachchon ko bhi apne kamre mein sone nahin deti.. vo isliye ki vo judna nahin chahthi. Usne apne amma aur appa ko bhi door kiya hain. bahut mushkil hain Raman.

Raman : Par muje karna padega.. meri ishitha ko main aise kaise chod saktha hoon. Kuch sochna padega..

Rajeev : kuch bhi karke usko tumhare ghar mein involve karo.. adi ka court case, ya pihu ki school. Kuch bhi jisse vo phir se judna shuru kare.

Raman : ek idea hain mere paas.

Rajeev : batao

Raman : kuch bhi ho Madrasan muje takleef mein nahin dekh sakthi.

Rajeev : haan par kya idea hain

Raman : iss hadse se pehle meri behan muje kuch tablets de rahi thi mere health ko bigadne ke liye. Kya uss baath ka faayda hum ab utha sakthe hain ? matlab kuch aise keh sakthe hain ki uski side effects ki wajah se main bahut serious hoon aur muje dekbhal ki zaroorat hain. phir main kuch bhi karke usko apne ghar mein laoonga.

Rajeev : nahin Raman, tum uske ghar chale jaana.. too much at the same time can be harmful.. usko uski environment mein hi treat karthe hain.

Nirvaan : uncle, batana aasan hain, karenge kaise..

Raman : arre, tum nahin jaante mere battalion ko.. aise natak karenge ki tu bhi maan jaayenga ki main bimaar hoon.

Rajeev : to phir theek hain, tum log mere ghar aa jo aaj shaam ko.. hum poora plan tayyar karenge

Raman (ST) : Bas, Madrasan, bahut ho gaya. 15 din mein main tuje waapis apna banaoonga.. ye mera Raman Kumar Bhalla ka challenge hain.
