Today Ishra scene cleared two nagging doubts in my mind

The first being ..may be just maybe I thought i was wrong in assuming that Raman didnt respect Ishu at all and absolutely cared two hoots about her feelings ..But a big thank you to the CVS for clearing my doubt

Raman was always flawed to the extent of being a coward ..this is where the cvs have done a grave injustice to his character..A flawed male lead is acceptable to me but Cowardice as a characteristic is totally abominable.. ..he comes across as a spineless man which is sad but unfortunately this is what the post leap Raman is all about..

second doubt was Is Shagun really the lead of YHM ..i thought probably i was being hard on the character..but thank you CVS for sending a loud and clear message that SHAGUN IS THE MAIN LEAD AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS PERIPHERAL..

Yhm is a sinking ship or maybe has already sunk and all the people associated with are either abandoning it or just going through the motion in an act of disenchantment

Maybe they feel after squeezing this serial dry now it is better to look outside this serial ..hopefully the greener pastures that they are looking at is really GREEN and not DRY HAY

Whether they would like to admit it or nor everyone associated with YHM have tasted success which one can only dream off only because of YHM ..there are scores of goodlooking talented actors languishing in the dark anonymity only coz they didnt the get THE BREAK ..

ruhi and adi are happy to see dad..and talk about business.and raman asks about the launch party...and yesterdays precap plays...he slaps adi...everyone are shocked..and raman starts saying he knows everything..ruhi interferes and raman asks her to shut up as and scolds her for coming drunk to to the party ...and yells at them for spoiling his reputation which he built from ground up..his dynasty...and adi looks at ishu and raman tells adi not To look at her..coz she might have asked to be quiet and always protected you ...and would've asked to hide it from you...gives them a ultimatum..either work it out as adults or else.they are in deep trouble.

Now why blame ishita...without knowing the full story.

ishu wants to talk to shagun under the pretext of saree

and takes her to their room

ishu hugs her and says sorry and knows about everything..

and feels very sorry for loosing the baby..

shagun too hugs and cries..

ishu asks her to tell mani...shagun doesn't want to as ..but ishu insists...shagun is scared of loosing mani as she can't live alone anymore what if mani leaves her..?

Ishu assures mani will never do that...all mani wanted was your good health and concerned for you, he cares for you and loves you...

shagun asks ishu to mani on her behalf...but ishu disagrees..and says its shagun who has to do it..Shagun agrees but needs time..and ishu offers support.

And the marriage talks resume

Raman is not sure and asks mani if he really means it..and mani is very confident and says its neessary...

mani says..ever since ishu came in to your life..everything worked out for the better...Raman's expression was confusing...was he not pleased?...I didn't see happiness in his face...and says ever since shagun came into his life..there's has been a lot of changes, some pleasant too...he's going to become a dad at this age..an uncomfortable situation and raman..shagun and ishu look at each other.

Toshiji too agrees changes as good for adi too and bhallaji too agrees..miku too agrees..

and raman wants to know from adi himself and calls adi and adi ..raman asks ishu.why don't you ask your son? so ishu asks and he denies...all are shocked..

Shagun questions him..soon everybody questions...says he's not ready for marriage...

Adi...everybody thinks i can't manage my life..my dad taunts me he thinks that I'm a useless person, leave him..even ruhi feels the same way..she insulted me in public..and ruhi interferes and says ..not to blame her ..yes you are right you are good for nothing...and deal with it by himself and not to pull her into it..ishu steps in and says not to talk to her bro like that..

Adi ..let her talk..to her she's very good and business savvy...says there's no respect for him in this house and until he earns it ..he cannot think of marriage...

and tries to leave only to be stopped my mani..and he says what about aaliya?..

he gives an ultimatum...and says he can't wait around and in 24-48 hours he will get aaiya married to someone else...

Did raman seriously think ishita can handle everything a left her to take care of shagun?...priorities speaks for itself. There was no need to hide he could've come clean. So shagun is more important that ishita...no surprise there .

But his dialogue " what will happen to ishita"?.. only indicates...that if anything happens to shagun...ishita stands to loose everything?! What does this tells us?

So is line..." how can I face ishita?"... means ishitas life has no value ...and shaguns life is everything?

I have a burning question...what did he set right? Or what was his plan?

This guy was ready to give up his life fir the sake of his ex wife's life?!...how bizzare is that?..what is it...Iska kya naam doon ? Is anonki rishta ka kya naam dhoon?

This didn't shock me...but yesterday I commented saying ..I want to be proved wrong that raman was not taking care of shagun...only to be proved I was right...

Raman with kids scene was good...a much needed wake up call for both

Cvs again gave another lame reason for Raman to accept a hit n run and everything that followed...cvs you never cease to amaze us...but we expected you will give us some lame reason..so we are not shocked..we knew all along raman was taking care of shagun...so it didn't shock us...but reassured us...that what your priorities are...which was NEVER ISHRA ...just so you know...

Ishra scene...there's something amiss ...idk what...DT was very much in character...not sure about KP...felt odd...

Since Ishra some romantic sequence is coming up...so is ishita there to romance and run his life and his house smoothly and doesn't deserve or his care and concern? All this is only reserved for his ex..shagun and not ishita? Then Who/ what is ishita?...where does she stand? That is if she even has a stand?...

I totally agree with your post 100%. Today's episode finally proved what Shagun has always been confident about, her importance to Raman.

When Ishita was disowned by her family and mourning her sister's death,when she needed his support the most, Raman choose to be with Shagun. Raman keeps Ishita around as his housekeeper, someone who he can rely on to take care of his family whilst he is taking care of Shagun, this allows him to have his cake and eat it too.

Seeing Raman getting teary over Shagun's loss was truly disgusting to watch. Raman as a husband is officially dead. I wouldn't wish him on anyone.

I too noticed Raman's expression when Mani said ever since Ishu came in to your life..everything worked out for the better... '' Raman did not seem to agree with Mani's sentiments her.

I am completely disappointed with the show and no amount of Ishra romance is going to make me feel Ishra are in love. I now know if Raman ever had to choose between Ishita or Shagun he would without hesitation choose Shagun, so he cannot be in love with Ishita.

Im too annoyed to write about ishita and her inability to stand up for her self and to stop letting people use and abuse her.

Here is my rant. I am disgusted with the way this track unfolded today as a woman, as a wife and as a mother. Raman's revelation of the truth regarding Shagun is another level of deception and lies and breaking of the trust altogether on many levels. And not letting Ishita walk out of this deceptive and no respect relationship is angering me as a woman today. There have to be some core values that need to be retained even in fiction. and this show sunk so low and i have no words to describe.

This is exactly what I wrote in my post yesterday in Viji thread...How Raman is still Shagun's.. And I'm not wrong in what I wrote or in my understanding of the way story will go from now on.. Ishita will be there in Raman's life as his wife without any rights or respect or expectations fulfilling his biological needs and be there to take care of his family and be a nanny for his and Shagun kids while he runs after Shagun his first love, life, wife and fulfilling the promises he made to her while she is a wife to another man...Raman is truly Shagun's" half husband" and their connection is not just kids it's beyond that..What a disgusting turn the story took.
The current plot keeps Ishita because CVS need her to show romance with Raman. What a shame they made Ishita character as. She is reduced to sexual object for Raman...and I am not even wrong in saying this as the upcoming date of Ishita and Raman proves that.

So the story is how Raman and Shagun stand together through the thick and thin, and good and bad and happiness (Raman deceived Ishita successfully and surrogacy is successful with Shagun) and sorrow (Shagun miscarried Mani's child and how Raman became a pillar of strength for her in her time of crisis)...But, But Shagun is not Raman's wife anymore and Raman is not Shagun's husband anymore. They are married to different people and this standing by each other as a pillar of support came too late in their life.

I never once hated Shagun for walking out on an unhappy marriage but I had a problem with how she did it behind Raman's back and cheating him with illicit relationship with Ashok. But again she wanted to have all her ducks in a row so if Ashok didn't work out she always have an option that is Raman to fall back.

What I would have expected from Raman a man who was broken by deception who knew what it feels like someone whom he trusted and loved deceives him not to do that to anyone as he knew the pain. But what we had to witness was he turned around and did deceive the person who loved him and trusted him with surrogacy and that too with his ex-wife. Hence these two - Raman and Shagun became partners in crime. Today what they both did? Hide the truth of Shagun's miscarriage from Mani and Raman staying and taking care of his "half wife" Shagun from his legally wedded wife not just once but twice. If a woman could be deceived with surrogacy how a man can be deceived... bingo, by hiding the truth about his wife's miscarriage. And not once Raman thought it was wrong thing to hide it from Mani and not telling the truth about his whereabouts with Ishita?

So the day Vandu died, after Raman tended to Shagun (it's not revealed how he ended up there... oh may be what Nidhi told Ishita that Raman came to Shagun. Ok, but then Shagun didn't share about Nidhi with Raman? If she did why was he surprised when Ishita told him about Nidhi... ok I will leave it) and missed so many calls from Ishita he came running home. But as soon as he heard the news that Vandu was killed in an accident he turned around and walked away instead of even pausing to lend a shoulder to his devastated wife... so, for him Shagun and her losing of her 3 month pregnancy was more important than consoling Ishita who is his wife who lost her grown sister, a mother, and a daughter and a friend to him.

And his promise to protect Shagun's secret was much, much more important that he was willing to take the murder charge on to himself and ready to go to jail. But I got to give it to Raman who knows how to use Ishita. For him to be out to take care of Shagun he only need to tell the truth of him not doing the crime. That's it. He gets bailed out and watched his wife being slapped, cursed, disowned by her parents... but his heart was in the right place where Shagun lives. So, as soon as he was out he rushed back by receiving a phone call from his "half wife" Shagun. No consoling words nothing... just leave and let Ishita find out the culprit.

This is the same man who couldn't console his wife Ishita who lost her miracle child in an accident while protecting his whole family and who immediately went on to have surrogacy done to satisfy his ego today went to his ex-wife and stood by her and consoled her in her loss of losing a child. btw who already have 3 kids. But hey she is important as she is "Asli Ma" of his kids.

When I read Twilight I was surprised to read the concept of "Imprinting" but never researched about it. Here is how it is explained... the story has both vampires and wolves. The Indian tribe in the village have these traits of Wolf and there is one girl who is in love with another guy who has these Wolf traits. But he could never love her back because it gets revealed later that that girl cannot be a mother ever. So, it's explained that they get imprint the girls that can have kids with them. No kids no connection. Now I am witnessing in YHM as Ishita can never become a mother to Raman's child physically he holds no attraction towards her. As he never married her out of love, she came into his life for him to get the custody of Ruhi. But she truly became mother for his kids once they accepted her first Ruhi then Adi. But he couldn't honor that either.

Once again he as a father knows how it pains to not have his kids with him yet on that fateful day he decided to throw the mother out of his kids' life. He gave her the punishment that he cried for many years for being away from Adi. It's quite opposite to what we witness today with Shagun and Ishita. Ishita who understands what it is to lose a pregnancy consoled Shagun who never had a one good thing to say about Ishita. Today, irrespective of Raman couldn't stand by her in her hour of need she let it go.

What hurt me today is the nature of Raman who disregarding his wife's pain and hurt went and consoled his ex-wife and stood by her as a pillar to support her in the crisis which her husband should have done. And as a husband to Ishita he should have stood by her in her hour of need.

So what is Ishita to Raman? Marriage in Hindu culture says

"Dharmecha Arthecha Kamecha Naathicharami"

The Hindu marriage vow stating "I promise to stand by you as a righteous partner during times of uncertainties, overcoming all desires of riches and needs. From this moment on I promise to embrace and cherish everything life has to offer with you."

And nowhere has it mentioned kids. But for Raman marriage has no meaning, once Shagun walked out of his life he became so bitter and angry. The compromise he made was called marriage because without that stamp he could never get the custody of Ruhi... from then on he did quite opposite to the marriage vows that mentioned above to the point he discarded her not only from his life but from her kids life too.

Right now as I see the relationship between Raman and Ishita it's not that of a husband and wife where they are equal. Her role in his life is reduced to more of a "Keep" who would get neither the respect, nor love, and there is no need to keep the promises made to her by him. And when things don't work as per his wishes then she will be thrown out else she is there to romance him. This disgusts me as a woman and kudos to starplus and the CVS that transpose a wife into a "Keep" and an ex-wife to be the most important part of her ex-husband's life where he is still obligated to fulfill the marriage vows he took with her decades ago though they are no longer a husband and wife anymore. I want to call this relationship as "Half Husband" and "Half Wife" that is Raman and Shagun. Nayi soch indeed.
