Chapter 80A Recap They both turned around and lay down on the bed without a hug or goodnight. Instead their unshed tears came forth and covered their pillows as they both were too hurt and they knew how badly they had hurt the other. What would have ended as another night filled with love was now left as a night filled with tears...of pain and regret...
Chapter 80B Woken by Ruhi's crying, they both lazily got out of bed. She picked up their crying daughter and sat on their bed rocking her while he helped change her. As Ruhi stopped crying, she seemed to be full of energy refusing to go back to sleep. A few minute minutes of trying to rock her to sleep, a half asleep Ishita began to lean on his shoulder while he continuously tried to keep his eyes open as he wrapped one arm around her while the other hand patted Ruhi's head.
Half an hour later, the room was completely silent as Ishita immediately crashed on his chest after she placed a finally sleeping Ruhi and Raman had cuddled closer to her wrapping his arms around her making the lines on her forehead disappear. She took her leg and instinctively placed it over his making a tiny smile linger on his face. After such an eventful day and their biggest and only argument, they ended up falling into a deep peaceful slumber in each other arms...
~~~~~
She lazily opened her eyes and a sleepy smile appeared on her face as she felt something tickling her neck. He began to open his eyes as he felt someone move under him. Cuddling closer to her, he grazed the crook of her neck with his beard making her moved her face away waking the two of them up. He looked up to find himself in her arms as he rested on her while she was more than happy to have kept her head on his. Giving each other a smile, they were about to say good morning when last night sunk in...
Remembering everything that had occurred between them last night, she slowly moved him away while he didn't push anything and simply got up. She looked at him once before getting up and she couldn't put up her shield of not caring like she had for a few moments last night. Instead he saw how badly he had hurt her in her eyes and watched her look away while she quietly went along with her morning.
Closing the bathroom door behind her she began to silently let out her tears. Then she turned on the shower and stepped in crying as loudly as she wanted as no one could hear her and her tears washed away with water.
She knew he probably didn't mean what he said. He was angry and she knew that, but did it give him the right to say what he had? She understood she was wring to be hiding things from him and she hadn't denied that. Instead she tried to explain her point to him and apologize, but he didn't even think twice before mentioning how another woman once meant something to him.
It wasn't easy to live with the fact that her husband was once married and loved a woman as much as he probably loved her, but he had always been so supportive and cautious when talking about her that she never felt any angry toward Shagun...until last night that was. He didn't even seem like himself when he had talked to her last night.
She cried as much as she wanted thinking whether her mistake was so big that he had compared her to the woman who had hurt him more than anything and let out her anger and frustration. She hated herself for causing this mess while her anger on him was no less as he also could have listened to her yesterday instead of comparing her to a woman who had done nothing but lied to him. Whenever she remembered his sentence of his first wife's importance in his life, she left a surge of anger running through her while she tried to stop her tears.
Till now she felt caught up in between her sister and husband, now she found herself in a dilemma between going up to him to fix everything or staying away and letting him realize he had hurt her a lot. She wanted everything to be okay between them, but she also had some self-respect and couldn't tolerate being told she had behaved the way a woman who made her marriage a complete lie. As her anger took over her hurt, she got out of the shower in no mood to face him and let him know there was no way she would tolerate his unreasonable words...
~~~~~
He carried his cup of coffee out onto the balcony as she was ignoring him and was in no mood to face him. After trying to start a conversation with her about Ruhi before beginning his apologize, he was brushed away as she only told him she was busy and left their room letting him know he had a lot of making up to do.
He managed to get her to sit with him for breakfast, but he had to let go of his hand that held her down next to him when she gave him an angry glare and pushed his hand away. That was enough for him to leave the dining table taking his breakfast and come out to the balcony for some air and a calm mind to think.
That's all he had wanted now and last night. Just some think alone to think for himself. He had sat out here last night enraged and hurt at the fact that such a huge matter was being hidden from him when it involved him on so many aspects. He knew Ishita was not the type to hide things without a reason, but he was just upset seeing Mihika together with Mihir and learning his own wife knew of everything for such a long time upset him further.
He didn't mean to hurt her or lash out in anger, and that's why he had walked out to be left alone until his anger subsided and he was in a state to talk to her. But this time things didn't go the way he thought and when she came to talk to him, he was already so upset and fed up of everything that he had burst his anger out on her.
Looking out onto the city sadly, he wished he would have told her that he wasn't able to listen to her and walked out of there instead of staying back and letting his anger get the best of him. It pinched his heart to see her tears even last night, but in his blind anger he couldn't go apologize and now it seemed like she didn't want to hear his sorry. Feeling annoyed and upset at himself, he placed his mug on the table and walked back into their room hoping she would give him another chance...
He walked up to her as she wasn't looking at him, and he threw the clothes from her hands away and hold her shoulders. Before he could say something, she moved his hands away and quietly sat on the bed continuing her work of folding his clothes. Fed up with everything going on, he left without a word leaving her unaffected while it was only making him more upset that she was so mad that she didn't care about what he was doing anymore...
~~~~~
"Please take my calls. I'm really sorry..." She read his umpteenth apologetic message for her.
And like every other one he had sent, this one also went unanswered as she turned off her phone not wanting to talk to him and knowing if she saw any more of his messages, she would give in to him. She could tell he was already upset over what he had said, but she wanted him to know that she was extremely hurt right now by his words and she wasn't going to forgive him so easily...
Throwing his phone on the table, he got up frustrated on not getting any response from her. Since he had left home, all he had been thinking of was her. He knew in his anger, he had gone too far with his words, but he thought she would understand this and forgive him now that he had apologized numerous times. But after so many futile attempts, he knew it wasn't going to be easy to make it up to her, but all he wanted her to do was understand that it was in the heat of the moment, he said everything and he didn't mean a single word. Now after finding out she wasn't giving so easily and realizing he was the one at fault, he quickly picked up his phone and went back to apologizing to his wife...
And just as he had wanted, she heard the doorbell ring in a few minutes. Quickly getting the door as Ruhi had just lay down for her nap, she was greeted by a huge bouquet of flowers. Picking up the flowers, she knew who they were from and she was proven right as she saw the sorry card he had sent her...
"To err is human, to forgive divine". Being the beautiful goddess that you are... will you forgive me?
She read the printed quote on the card and ignored it as she saw his handwriting underneath...
I'm so sorry for shouting on you last night, I just wasn't thinking. But trust me hurting you was the last thing I wanted to do. I am sorry for being so rude. I never meant any of those words I said last night. Please forgive me...
- Raman
She shook her head at his card, but couldn't help a small smile from appearing on her face as she looked at the goofy smiley face he had drawn on himself. Carrying the card and flowers to their room, she placed them on her vanity, but then took the flowers placing them onto the table while she carefully placed away the card not wanting him to think she had accepted his apology.
As lovely as his attempt was, she wanted him to acknowledge even though he had said those words in the moment and didn't mean them, it hurt her. She remembered his words again and wanted him to know that no matter what, he had no right to bring in his previous relationship into their argument. Picking up her phone, she took a deep breath before texting him...
"Why are you doing all this?"
"Because I'm sorry. I really did mean anything I said."
And he didn't get any other response from her. Sitting down defeated in his chair, he tried to distract himself from the situation at home by engrossing himself with work. However he couldn't think about anything else but what he said to her yesterday. He felt stupid and angry at himself for saying such rubbish to her in his anger. He spent all day at work lost in his own thoughts thinking about what she would want him to do in order to be able to forgive him. As he saw the sun setting, he knew he had to go home and talk things out with her.
Driving to work, he wanted to know what he would want if he was in her place. That's when he tried to think of how she felt this when he said all those things. Till now he had been thinking of how to tell her how he was feeling and what he was thinking when he said all those things to him, but now he was trying to get in her shoes and realize how she felt.
When reversing the situation, it dawned upon him that this was more than just a sentence in anger. It was just like those times she would bring in her ex in their moments. It had made her feel the way she made him feel whenever their personal moments were interrupted by her past. Even last night it was them talking about their problems in their relationship...not about an old relationship that had no place in their conversation.
If she had pushed him away comparing his touches with Subbu's, then he done the same by yelling at her comparing her to Shagun. He parked over to the side unable to take in his own thoughts. With his hand covering his open mouth, he couldn't believe what he had just done. He had felt as if his importance in her life had been questioned the day she yelled out Subbu's name and now had he just done the same thing to her?
Realizing he had hurt her to the very extent that he couldn't tolerate himself, he knew what he had to do. It was going to be more than a mere sorry to make her forget those words that were probably haunting her at this moment. Quickly starting up his car again, he rushed home to apologize to his wife and let her know that she meant way to him than he had made her feel yesterday...
Precap
"Listen..."
"I'm listening."
"I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said what I did."
"But you did."
"I'm really sorry."
"A box of chocolates, a few messages, some flowers and you think it's okay or easy to forget what you said?"
"Then what do you want?"
And before going I just wanted to thank you all for the 100+ likes on the previous update! It was honestly a huge surprise as I haven't written Ishita and Raman having a huge argument in this FF and was nervous to do so, but so happy to see the response it's gotten! So a huge thank you for that!
