I'm so sorry.

I can't even say anything more than that since it's been over 2 weeks since I've updated. I have no excuses for delaying it so much and I can only be sorry for not updating sooner. I myself wished I could update faster especially after the last update got over 100 likes!🤗 But I was unable to update and unfortunately I can't say that things could be different for the upcoming updates since I can't tell when I'll have time to write and when I'll be able to update next. I hope you all will understand like you all do every time. The only thing I could do to make up for it was try and give a longer update, which I think I have done. And so now without any more delays, here is the next update...

Chapter 80B Recap

Realizing he had hurt her to the very extent that he couldn't tolerate himself, he knew what he had to do. It was going to be more than a mere sorry to make her forget those words that were probably haunting her at this moment. Quickly starting up his car again, he rushed home to apologize to his wife and let her know that she meant way to him than he had made her feel yesterday...

Chapter 81

When he hurried into his room quickly greeting his mom on the way, he was welcomed by the sight he always looked forward to. He stood by the door watching Ruhi cuddling onto her mother, playing with her necklace while Ishita was talking to about anything and everything she could. Seeing the serene sight in front of him, his anxious heart calmed down a bit as he walked closer to them. Spotting him in the room, his daughter tried to call out to him getting him Ishita's attention as well.

"When did you come?" She asked a bit startled while he sat down next to her placing a box of her favourite chocolates on the night table next to her. She shook her head and turned back to him as he smiled at Ruhi and then looked at her seriously.

"Just now." He reached over to hold her hand, but she simply put Ruhi down on the bed and got up herself.

"Listen..." He tried to call out to her but she went about doing her work without looking back at him.

"Ishita, I'm talking to you." He got up sighing and looked at her while she was busying ignoring him.

"I'm listening." She mumbled as she opened up their wardrobe looking for something not paying attention to him at all. He walked over to her and held her wrist turned her around. She tried to pull out of his grip, but he pulled her closer to him making her crash onto his chest. She looked up at him with a stern look while he tried to explain himself to her.

"I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said what I did."

"But you did." She bit her lip trying to keep her tears away.

"I'm really sorry."

"A box of chocolates, a few messages, some flowers and you think it's okay or easy to forget what you said?" She reminded him of what he said to her a teardrop fell from her eyes onto his hand.

"Then what do you want?" He cupped her face lightly while she looked him with tears rolling down her cheeks. He looked at her with apologetic eyes as he kissed the salty pearls away making her finally let down her guard while he continued to kiss her face.

"Raman..." She could only say his name not knowing what to do now while he moved back knowing he was making everything worse if he continued any further. He made her face him only to see her tears again and helplessly he placed his forehead against hers, defeated as he pleaded to her...

"Can I just have 2 minutes? I just want to talk it out like always...please."

"Raman..."

"Please hear me out once." She held his hands and simply nodded positively getting a sigh of relief from him. Wiping off her tears and his, he made her sit down on their bed before he began to explain and apologize...

"Ishita...you know I'm very sorry for whatever I said yesterday. I know I shouldn't have said it and I didn't want to. But I did...all I want to say is I know it was wrong of me, but please try to understand what made me say what I did. Last night so much had happened, I had to see Mihir again and on top of that he was with Mihika. That was so hard to take in and I was barely getting a hold of what I just saw when I find out you knew about this as well and chose to hide it from me. You knew this for weeks now and didn't tell me a thing after I repeatedly asked you."

She opened her mouth to continue, but there was nothing she could say as she had tried explained herself yesterday, but knew he wasn't ready to hear her. He closed his eyes taking a moment before he tried to explain himself to her...

"Ishita lying is the one thing that makes me as mad as I was yesterday. I've been lied to way too many times and now it's unbearable. I hate it so much because it takes me back to everything I want to forget. I want to leave every memory of Shagun's lies far behind. But when you lied to me and hid important things from me, I couldn't help relate back to her. That's why I went outside alone yesterday to think alone and be alone."

"Then why didn't you think that I wasn't her? And what I lied about was completely different from what she did to you?

"At that point my wife had lied to me, and that's all I could think of. I knew I was over thinking everything, but I was a mess. I wish I has told you I wanted space, because maybe had we not tried having a conversation yesterday, I probably wouldn't have said what I did. It was completely wrong and I had no right to insult you like I did, but I just want you to know I wasn't in the right state of mind. I'm really sorry for my words, I'm really sorry."

"Maybe we were both wrong..."

"So don't we both deserve some forgiveness?"

"Raman...are you sure the words you said wasn't the truth in anger? Maybe you just have an opinion made on any woman who lies to you?" She blinked away tears while he realized how deeply he had actually hurt her.

"Ishita how could even think that?" He had to admit it wasn't easy to hear all this coming from her when they both knew their relationship was much more than this. But as much as it hurt, he knew where she was coming from and he knew he needed to rectify his mistake.

He inched closer to her taking her hand into his. He delicately brought her hand to his chest placing it on his left side. Feeling his heart beating rapidly underneath her hand, she looked up at him confused.

"Do you think I can ever mean those words from here? Never Ishita. There is only love and respect for you in my heart, and nothing else. I know I was rude and very harsh on you yesterday, but it was only because my mind was everyone. I'm not saying I was right, but I never meant anything I said. Ishita I might argue with you at times, but never ever think what you are thinking now. And trust me I hate myself for behaving the way I did. Hurting you hurts me more than anyone and anything else. I love you more than I've loved anyone in my life...anyone. I don't like hurting you and I don't like myself for saying what I did. For me you are my everything and I know you know that..."

She looked into his tear brimmed eyes and wiped off his tears realizing the depth of his words and how much it would have taken to say the same. She held his hand tightly calming him as he tried to hold back his sobs and emotions in front of her.

She dreaded seeing him in the state in was in right now and couldn't stop herself from pulling him closer to herself and placing his head on her shoulder. He took the moment she had given him to close his eyes feeling an assurance from her making him feeling a bit better about this whole mess.

However she didn't know how to react. Although she was consoling him and felt bad for him considering he was going through a lot, she just heard a lot from him and wasn't able to digest everything he had said. And so while he calmed down, she knew what she wanted in order to forgive and forget everything...

"Raman, can I go stay at Amma and Appa's for some time?" He immediately jerked up looking at her perplexed while she looked into his eyes trying not to show any emotion worried he would perceive things the wrong way.

"You want to go away from me?" He asked her almost scared of the answer he would get.

"Just from all of this mess. You just told me a lot of things and I just need time to take everything in. Like you wanted some time and space, I also want the same. Please?" She looked at him hopefully while he understood what she was saying, but didn't want her to go.

However he knew what she wanted was right, maybe they needed to have a day or two to be alone and away for each other to get over whatever had happened in their family and in between them. So getting up go and her following him, he didn't fake a smile or try to hide his disappointment in this situation when he asked her...

"When are you going?"

"Tomorrow?" She asked while he nodded in agreement.

"So are you taking Ruhi with you or not?" He looked over at his daughter who was in her own world playing with the air. Ishita looked over at her as well and remembered how he had been alone the last time she went to her parents.

"I won't make you lonely like last time."

"Will you call me or should I call you?" She knew he had indirectly asked her whether she wanted him to talk to her or not.

"I'll call." He got the answer he didn't want to hear.

"When will you be back?"

"Soon..." He only nodded and walked out of the room giving them both the much needed quiet space they needed...

She went ahead to change and go to bed to put Ruhi to sleep while he quietly ate a few morsels of his dinner lost in his thoughts about everything. He came back to find her reading a book and not disturbing her, he took his usual resort by deciding to engross himself in his work.

Picking up his laptop and his project file, he looked around the room for his glasses. After seeing him look around for a few minutes unsuccessfully, she called out to him and told him that his glasses were on his desk in the corner. Mumbling a thank you, he went ahead to work for the new few hours while she was exhausted from the day and fell asleep way without him noticing.

When he shut his laptop loudly at midnight, he saw her fast asleep with the duvet messily thrown over her. Quietly and carefully he walked up to her, he adjusted the duvet over her, took the book from her hands and turned off the bedside lamp before he planted a soft kiss on her forehead. A smile came onto his face when she smiled in her sleep.

Happy with just a small smile of hers, he went to his side of the bed and fell asleep knowing thought things weren't sorted between them, they had still took a step towards fixing whatever they had done wrong...

~~~~~
The next morning after a very quiet morning that went about with the least amount of conversation between them, he drove her to her parent's home. He wanted to give her the space she had wanted and get some space in return because she was right that they needed to be alone for a while and think about everything. So when they both stayed quiet and tried to go along with their routine, it surprisingly seemed to be what they needed for a peaceful mind.
And so all along the ride, Ishita sat in the back talking to Ruhi who was unaware of the fact she was going to stay without her mother soon. And seeing Ruhi continuously clinging onto her, Ishita swallowed a lump in her throat. She suddenly didn't want to part with her daughter even for a day. The thought of not having Ruhi by her side throughout the day made her feel a weird emptiness instead which became visible on her face.
"Are you okay?" Raman called out to her seeing a sudden change in her expressions.
"Raman, Ruhi..."
"What about her?" He looked back and saw them both fine wondering what was wrong.
Ishita looked at him and realized how he must have felt the last time she took Ruhi with her. She knew if she told him she would miss Ruhi, he would hesitate to let her take Ruhi along, but she couldn't keep him away from her either. Not wanting to show how much she would miss her daughter, she tried to divert her attention and his...
"Ummm...her milk formula is finished, so please buy some. And also when you do go, buy her a different cereal. She can't eat the current one... oh and-"
"Ishita...if you really want, you can take her with you. I'll be okay." He saw right through her attempts to hide the fact that everyone already knew.
"No you won't... I didn't even realize how you must have felt when I took her the last time. Now when I have to go away for a day, I realize how hard it is to be away from her."
"I can video call you throughout the day if you want. I'm going to be at home anyways."
"You are?" She looked at him surprised since she knew he had a tight schedule today.
"This morning, I decided to take the day off to be with Ruhi. It's too much on Mom to have her take care of Ruhi all the time and I needed the break too."
"That's good. Usually Ruhi falls asleep after lunch. You should also sleep a bit...you look really tired for a while now." He simply smile at her concern and at the fact that he managed to divert her attention away from Ruhi for a few minutes until they would reach his in-laws...
However when he parked his car in front of her parents' home, she held onto Ruhi as if her life depended on it. He noticed the same when he opened the door for her and she stepped out not letting go of their daughter. Having decided in his mind that he may as well let the two be together, he told Ishita that he was going to go straight to work and she could keep Ruhi with her. He told her to apologize to Amma and Appa on his behalf that he couldn't come in and started to walk away when she stopped him.
"No Raman. I'm okay...it's just one day..." She tried to reason with herself and looked at him knowing he knew exactly what she felt. He smiled at her and then at Ruhi knowing the two were inseparable since the day they met.
"But for Ruhi, one day away from her mom is way too long."
"And who doesn't know how much she cries without seeing her dad?" They both chuckled to themselves remembering the chaos Ruhi created last time after staying away from him. Not wanting to repeat the same, Ishita walked over and handed Ruhi over to him with a genuine smile.
She took a moment to place a kiss on her daughter's forehead keeping her close for a while longer until she could assure herself that she was going to be fine. When Ruhi put her arms around Ishita's neck, he could only look on wondering about the bond they shared while Ishita hugged her back before she left to go inside...
~~~~~

"Ruhi, your mumma is very nice...but I hurt her..." He talked to his daughter as he watched her coo back at him before she continued to grab his shirt's pocket as she lay on his chest while he put his arms around her thinking about his day.

Her idea of giving them both space had really worked for him. Not only their relationship, he had been able to think about everyone else as well including himself. He had gotten some time alone which had been missing from his life for a while if it was ever there.

After dropping Ishita off, he had taken Ruhi to the store to buy her necessities and ended up realizing how much he missed spending everyday moments alone with Ruhi. He had been so busy lately that he had almost forgotten the last time he had been alone with his daughter who he never stayed away from before. And though he tried to make time for her, it seemed to be so little compared to before.

So when he went back home and left behind his work for the day to be with his daughter. As he took care of Ruhi's every little need and demand, enjoying it to the fullest, he reminded himself to thank Ishita once she came back because this was what he needed to get his mind off things for a while though her absence lurked in his heart throughout the day. Even while enjoying himself with Ruhi, something seemed to be incomplete as he thought of Ishita with Ruhi and their own moments together with their daughter.

And so now as Ruhi was ready for her nap, his mind was only occupied by Ishita's thoughts. He regretted his impulsiveness as he thought about how a mere sentence from him insulted her so much and caused the distance they had never felt before.

He knew how it felt like to be the second person in someone's life and he had always tried to be considerate of the same when he talked to Ishita about Shagun. But it was almost as if he had lost control on himself when he was reminded of Shagun's lies that he didn't give Ishita's feelings a thought before talking. Now all he wanted was one chance from her to tell her what she meant to him, but it seemed like she wasn't going to be ready anytime soon...

He couldn't help but shake his head at his own foolishness that made Ishita go away from him. Thinking about how lonely it got without hearing her talks in their silent room, he lay back closing his eyes wishing she would forgive him and come back now.

As his tear rolled down his cheek and fell on his sleeping daughter, he came out of his thoughts and realized how late it was getting. He carefully moved Ruhi onto the bed covering her with her blanket before he got up. Securing some pillows around her he walked onto the balcony, the place where he could sit in peace without being haunted by the silence around...

~~~~~
"Baby, your papa is really nice...but I hurt him..." She caressed her tummy thinking about his talks with their baby as she laid down on her bed exhausted from the day.
After he had dropped her off, she was really able to get the space she had wanted. Though there was a part of her that was constantly telling her to go back unable to stay away from him especially after how he explained himself to her last night, but she couldn't go as something held her back every time. His words to her the night before, about how he lost control over his own mind because she didn't let get time and space alone were ringing in her head over and over again.
However those words took a backseat when she was busy getting pampered by her parents and sister. Spending so much time with Raman getting to know him and then with them going to Mumbai right after their marriage, she never realized how much she missed her parents.
From simple things changing her attire from a sari to a salwar suit and spending time alone in her room to instantly getting into her previous routine of cooking with her mother and her time alone with Mihika made her feel like another person altogether. She felt as if she was living her life before their marriage and before her baby once again.
She ended up smiling at her own thoughts since there was no way to live life before the baby since everyone was constantly doing things to remind her of the same. Everyone treated her as royalty, not letting her do Her mother allowed her to help in the kitchen on the condition that she would be sitting the entire time and Mihika instead of raving on about movies she watched was talking to her about Mihir and love. But no matter what it was, it had been a nice day, though a bit different, it wasn't as bad as she thought it would have been.
Nonetheless, now she was alone in her room alone, she could only think about his words again. The more she remembered everything he said yesterday, the more she felt that he wasn't completely at fault. He was wrong and she had the right to be upset which he admitted himself, but that didn't make her right either. As she continuously thought about what would have happened had she left him alone till the next morning, the more she was sure that she would have never heard the words she did.
And now she could help think that maybe had she never hidden Mihir and Mihika's, then maybe this mess would have never been created. His tears flashed in her mind when she remembered how hurt he seemed when he discovered she knew the truth long back and then a tear escaped her eye when his cries as he talked about how hurt he felt and how he related two lies together came to mind. Her husband had been too hurt by lies that they were being intolerable to him.
A gasp came out of her mouth followed by sobs as the realization hit her. The depth of how much she had hurt him came to her. He had been in a marriage that consisted on lies followed by lies and when he trusted her with his heart and told her each and every truth of his life, then it was bound to feel betrayed, angry, and misunderstood when she hid such a huge family matter from him. As much as he has hurt her, she had done the same, except she felt worse knowing she had only shown him anger while he had apologized for his mistakes.
She needed to talk to him, she needed to be with him...she needed him now. She felt her head pound at the thoughts of what she done and that she was equally responsible for what had happened between the two of them. Getting up immediately to reach for her phone, she became dizzy at the sudden movement when Mihika walked in to see her holding onto the wall of support. Rushing over to her sister, Mihika had her sit on her bed helping her sip some water and called out to her parents.
"Amma, Appa!"
"Mihika, I'm fine." Ishita held her throbbing head while Mihika didn't know whether she was angry at her sister for not taking care of herself or was upset on seeing her sister unwell.
"No you're not. I'm calling your doctor and Jiju. Once he comes, only then you'll take care of yourself." Mihika walked out of the room as her parents came in. Explaining what had just happened, she went out to call Raman and Ishita's doctor while their parents stayed by Ishita's side...
~~~~~

In 15 minutes, he had left Ruhi under the care of his mother and reached the Iyer house in panic of what could have gone wrong. Blaming himself for giving her a lot of stress unnecessarily, he hoped she would be okay as he drove to onto the driveway of his in-laws where he saw a doctor leaving. He ran the doorbell ringing it a few times and tapping his feet anxiously until it was opened by Mihika who understanding he only wanted to see Ishita moved away to let him get by as she explained Ishita was stressed which caused her to suddenly feel faint.

He understood what her stress was and he ran into her room where she lay on the bed as her mother pressed her head. Seeing her okay despite looking slightly pale and weak, he let out a sigh of relief. She saw him standing at the door with the look she had seen once before on his face the last time she had fallen ill, and her eyes filled instantaneously seeing how she had given him so much stress and worried him once again. As her parents left the room leaving them alone, he walked to her slowly while she got up. She held her head as she felt a surge of pain once again and he was at her side immediately holding her.

He tried to make her lay down again, but she resisted and he glared at her getting upset at the fact that she wasn't taking her health seriously.

"I leave you alone for one day and you can't take care of yourself! What if something happened to you?" He tried to scold her, but choked back on his own tear unable to hide his emotions.

"I'm fine." She caressed his cheek trying to get through to him that she was fine.

"I would have never forgiven myself..." He engulfed her into a bone crushing hug and kissed her hair gently while she hugged him back letting go of her tears seeing his broken state.

"It's not because of you...I am responsible for this too." She broke the hug and cupped his face wiping off his tears. As he looked into her eyes, he saw that she clearly meant more than just her falling sick and it took a moment to realize she was referring to what happened between them in the past few days.

"No Ishita, I caused all this. First I hurt you so much, and because of all that you aren't taking care of yourself. I'm so sorry for everything. Ishita you believed what I said yesterday right? I swear I meant everything I said last night. I am really sorry for everything I did, I never meant for things to go this far. I never wanted any of this. I'm so sorry..." She shook her head

"It's not all your fault Raman. I was wrong too. I hurt you too, in fact I hurt you first and that too knowingly. I hid things from you when I knew it was what you hated and it was what would hurt you more than anything. And maybe had I left you alone to deal with things the way you wanted to yourself, I probably wouldn't have heard those words from you. But trust me Raman I didn't want to hide things from you, but Mihika wanted me too, and it was all about her so I was just stuck in between the two of you. I'm really sorry..."

"It's okay, I understand. But I should have understood before I said those things and how badly it would affect you. Ishita I know I reminded you of what is the truth of our relationship, that it isn't your first relationship nor mines and that we have both had experiences in the past that aren't pleasant. But I don't ever want you to feel like you are any less important in my life because Ishita the truth is that you are my life.."

"If you can forgive me, then I can forgive you too. Because I should have understood before that you were going to be hurt and would want to be alone. I'm sorry for causing all this. I never wanted you to feel the same you had before, but the situation as such that I felt helpless and caught up in my relationships. And Raman please don't ever think I chose my sister over you because you are my first priority always, but this matter was not about me and I didn't know if it was right to tell you my sister's personal matter." He gave her a faint smile as he wiped off her tears.

"It's okay. And now no more crying. I hate seeing these tears, you look better with that smile on your face."

She took him into a hug relieved that things were going to be normal once again while he was just as happy on having everything sorted out as well. They didn't say another word about this matter once again, but deep inside they had both gotten rid of a pain that would never been healed without this conversation.

Breaking apart the hug, he kissed her forehead and had her lay down to get some rest, and as he covered her with the duvet, she pulled him next to her to which he happily agreed. Resting on his chest, she closed her eyes as always while he pressed her head more than happy to tend to her once again. And slowly the two drifted off to a slumber in each other's arms exhausted from their emotional roller coaster from the last three days...

Prabh awesome update very emotional but practical one. I love it and the way you seperate them so they have time to reconsider for what went wrong between them. When they are alone they have time to think and that much need space for both. Raman hate lie and difficult for him to control his anger and can not blame him too cause in the past he had gone through a lot of ploblem in his life. For Ishu it hard for him to choose between sister and husband .cause it matter to Mihika life a her future and her happiness that matters. I am glad you make them eprealized both are wrong and they talk this is the best point for Ishra in your story . They talk and clear thing by their sincerity and pure love that was matter for them and their relationship to move ahead. Thank you for make Ishra clear thei MU in this update. And hope to see light moment in next update. Have a wonderful weekend my dear. 🤗🤗
