Wow, no matter how many years you stay on IF somethings never change - an article about what happened onscreen invariably ends up discussing the off-screen lives of the actors in question.

We have a right to comment on Ishita and Raman - love em, hate em, be happy about their choices and decisions or critique them but Divyanka and Karan are their own people and just because we love them as Ishita and Raman, individually or as a couple, doesnt really mean we can comment on their lives' choices - why should it matter to YHM who is dating whom or married whom, is splitting up with or divorcing whom at the end of the day because it doesnt matter to the show.

AND regarding the kissing scene stipulations levied by Divyanka- Jesus, what were people expecting in the saas bahu slot, a kinda family viewable version of po*n?!! Was that really what people hoped to see - a show that is so popular even among kids to have a scene where Ishita and Raman get their freak on, no holds barred?

Also this is star plus, the fact that Ishita mouthed the lines she did, saying she wanted her hubby to go weak in the knees, drive him crazy are statements NO SP heroine has made so far. Bold doesnt lie in just the graphics you see, but also in what you hear...but even if we want to go by the graphic standards - Ishita was shown to be responding to Raman so passionately is that really lost in translation? Everytime he touched her, kissed her she wasnt behaving like a touch me not mimosa plant which is FAR more than any SP heroine has been allowed to do. In the shows that I have seen on SP the heroine is at most asked to act shy, smile a bit and run around for like half of the scene because of course the guy who is about to make love to her isnt her husband or the guy she is in love with but some dreaded villain who has to chase her until she tires . Not to forger the after scenes or the morning after...seriously was it not for this slot, the boldest content aired by SP in years? The very fact that SP finally had the gall to show that when a couple makes love they do end up sleeping and waking up naked is worth something, because SP finally got real. So far whenever a couple has done a consummation they not only end up sleeping fully clothed but wake up the same way too, not a hair out of place, unlike Ishita and Raman who were not only implied to be in their birthday suits, but looking deliciously rumpled and glowing from all the love making and people still find a reason to complain...the adage you cant always please everyone is so true man, so very true.

It's so funny how people just brought in random things into the topic, and then pretend to be the most innocent people

It's highly disappointing to see that what could have been a topic to discuss progressiveness in Indian television and the growth in actors' rights has instead been turned into a topic where fans are indulging in a proverbial pissing-match trying to support their favorites.

If this discussion was being done without name-calling and snide remarks against actors and their relatives, if was being done without bashing and insulting fans, this thread had the potential to generate a lot of healthy and interesting discussion.

Instead this was turned into another he-said-she-said, my-favorite-is-better-than-yours thread.. And that is just heartbreakingly disappointing. Maybe the next thread with such potential will be treated with the respect and maturity it deserves.

As far as this one goes, this topic shall be closed and warnings shall be issued accordingly.
