Hi Aani
Interesting take!
I so wish the cvs try even to convey some of the things you mentioned but looking at ye way the episode yesterday was scripted and how the party seq has been suddenly inserted into what was a fairly decent intriguing family drama the last few days it just feels like a rush to wrap up consummation ..since the baby track has to start...
Like the viewers. ..the cvs too seem to want to complete the formality of the long overdue consummation before the honeymoon (something tells me the production team has already made travel plans...cos of the epi bank and the sudden mad rush).
Hence ishita is suddenly insecure...shagun appeared out of nowhere for the 'talk' yest ( else cvs would have never let go a chance to reintroduce ruhi arora with all drama pissible..the way they went about the mumbai track). Shagun is the only one who can make ishita insecure about her lack of attractiveness ...yes..but that track is now long overdue as well ...the right time for this entire build up and everything b that you have explained to fall in place was the kuch kuch hota hai moment ...the audience woulf have surely related to it then...now that ship has long sailed...
Imo this entire track startinh with yest epi building up to consummation ..is same ol ..tried n tested stuff..cvs just were too lazy ..so they backtracked their own writing..covering up their obvious error of letting go of far many better occasions to address ishitas insecurity and the elephant in the room..the lack of sex in the marriage. ..
For now I totally cannot relate to ishitas pain...its just going to be drama n entertainment ...culminating hopefully in a steamy big C...trying to make sense of it and deciphering wat the characters might be thinking is just a waste of time...
Cvs I guess have alreafy moved on to more drama in the baby track..this is just the means to get there...
No offense to anyone who found a lot of insight in yest ishita doc scene or the ones after..barring few things shahun said which needed to hv been said long ago..rest was pure rushed lazy shoddy piece of writing by the cvs.
