From a Business Analyst to a Model by Chance

30 year old Vivek hails from the northern city of Chandigarh. Few years ago, Vivek wasn't even sure whether he would be an actor one day. A bank analyst by profession, he worked in IT Park Chandigarh like any other Business personnel. However, everything changed in the year 2011, when he won the Modelle de Lannee (Mr. Chandigarh), Vivek then started modeling. He got so involved in his new found passion that he soon shifted his base from Chandigarh to Delhi, and even started working with various designers.

Acting - From an extra-curricular activity to a full time profession

When in Delhi, Vivek's friends suggested him to try acting too. He started acting as an extra-curricular activity. However, soon he knew he wanted to act in TV. Next, he moved to Mumbai from Delhi and gave auditions. Following which, he bagged his first role in an episodic role in Bindass' Yeh Hai Aashiqui. However, his claim to fame was Star Plus' show Veera where he was seen as Rajeev Thakur - A baddie who could go to any extremes to get what he desires.

Though He Was Always Fond of Acting, He Chose another Alternative for Job Security

Though the glamour world, TV and cinema always attracted Vivek, he didn't prefer the industry for the uncertainties in the field. Vivek pursued his M.Sc. in International Business and Management from England's Leicester Business School and started working as a business analyst to secure his future, it gave him enough job security. However, fate as mentioned above had another plan for him, and Vivek made acting' his main occupation.

Playing a baddie has its own disadvantages and none of the evil characters is sparred ever by the loyal fans of the serial. Vivek too is no exception. It seems fans of the show (the crazy ones) regularly mail and message him on social media asking him to mend his ways in the serial. These hate mails however never disappoint this brave actor. Instead, it gives him immense confidence as an actor. But, now that Vivek will be seen in a positive role, we hope here will be a shift of behavior towards the talented actor.

Vivek Wants To Try His Luck in Bollywood

The short term goal of Vivek is to make his position in the Tele industry and win the viewer's heart. However, once it is achieved, he would definitely move towards his next goal and that is Bollywood.
