I still remember the day I started watching YHM when I was near to depression due to stress at my workplace and handling 2 kiddos at home. My best friend told me to start watching this classy soap as it has very sweet moments between families and ofcourse the dashing RKB, the sweet Ishita and the chirpy Ruhi. I fell in love after watching the first day and then caught up on all old episodes during the weekend. The Bhalla and Iyer family became part and parcel of my life and gave me solace and something to smile at after a hard day at work. I slept with a light mind at 11.30 PM and looked forward to the next episode. I watched and rewatched many episodes , God knows how many times...and I got addicted.

ok...so coming to YHM now, I end up reading written updates many a times, haven't watched any recent episode for the second time and even if I watch I prefer to watch during the day because I don't want to lose sleep because of so much negativity. I know its much much better than many soaps on TV, but I still want my old YHM back...please CVs😭😭

Wonderful post, Gan. Beautifully written. As for me, it is not just the resurrection of RKB, it the complete package that we were sold. The complete concept of YHM as a mature love story.

When I started watching this series sometime in February 2014, I never thought I could get so hooked onto an Indian Tele-series. I actually used to make fun of my friend who used to watch Kyuki, coz she was so invested in the lives of Tulsi and Mihir. After watching YHM I actually understood why she was so passionate about the show.

The actors have given their heart and soul in the portrayal of the characters and there is only so much that they can do. KP and DT and their sizzling chemistry can hold us only for so long. After that it will be downhill n nothing will resurrect it.

RKB is such a wonderfully crafted character which most of us can identify with because he is so human and so flawed. We saw such a tremendous growth in his character. And now he has turned into a mute spectator who has been reduced to seducing his wife to steal some documents ? Gosh, I was appalled at that. The RKB we know would never stoop to that level.

Why is it so difficult for the writers to understand that they will get good viewership even when they show a strong male lead. Why does the female lead have to be portrayed as invincible and male lead always the pathetic guy who needs rescuing by the woman ? It is good to see strong women but not at the expense of showing sad pathetic men !

Hi Gan,

Awesome post. Nothing more to add. I was very connected with 11pm slot of YHM. I totally loved it.This is the only show I watch like crazy but this new YHM is something which I couldn't connect at all. I have been away from the forum since two months but I used to login to check your posts. All your collages were mind blowing.

I really don't think RKB is going to be redemeed. Earlier I thought writing team works on the characterisation and progress of characters and growth in relationships( not all, at least the leads!!!) but now I must confess nothing of this sort will happen. I donot have any positivity left regarding the show🤢

Subtle writing replaced with OTT drama. Creative writing replaced with mind numbing twists. These things make me loose any hope of RKB resurrection.

I know I did not make any sense but I had to rant. Thanks for the thread Gan. I was really feeling terrible after the last night's episode. It is very sad that such a big channel, production house is showing their their male lead in such a disgusting way..!!!

Sorry, but i disagree with this part..."but the part that made it more interesting is each of those track ultimately revealed the inner working of Raman Bhalla and either he fixed his mistakes or emerged as a better individual after it."..

.as for as i see raman has NOT fixed his mistakes...some..but nit all... after each track he has emerged a more spinless coward .

Perfectly put,bang on post G.

Surprisingly yhm is d first ever balaji show that I have been watching from day one n am loving it,but off late it's loosing it's consistency n the flavour of what it started with. I really do love the main story line n believe it has a lot of potential but cvs r loosing it somewhere in d name of drama or trps..don't know wt it is.

USP of this show is the unique relation,the beauty of each relation shown, the real emotions n troubles faced.USP is the awsome awsome bunch of actors they have who r doing a brilliant job.USP is Raman Ishita Ruhi TOGETHER, coz thts whr the story strtd n Thts how it should be. 😊

USP is NOT SHAGUN or her dumb traits or her screaming n shouting n raising of eyebrows. It's not her barely there sarees or hairstyles. I don't know why soo much focus only on her.😕

I really feel that it's high time to give this an end. The actor n charachter both need a break coz it's only going to do more harm😕. Sorry no offence whatsoever to anyone😳

I still have my hopes on the everything coming back together. I don't know how n what,I WANT RUHI BACK ASAP. Logic as it is is not thr so just plzz get her back soon. They really need to focus on Ishra n their relation don't know what's happ there😕 Lack of communication,lack of trust...whyyy??

Focus also on soo many other issues n charachters.

Sorry for the long rant but I know they'll bring it back.

WORD!! There is nothing much to add. Even I wasn't able to connect yesterday's scene even remotely. All I could see was DivAN and not IshRa and I don't want that to happen to me.

Even during Mani's track, I was kind of ok with his almost molestation threat (though I strongly oppose such scenes at all circumstances) because I thought they would then show Ishitha realising what she is doing and do the damage control and later Raman realising what he has done and apologize to her because however hurt he may be his actions were wrong. The RKB I knew would never do such thing. That was the first nail for me. Still, I gave him the benefit of doubt and tried to reason with myself to understand his intentions behind his actions.

I couldn't do any such thing yesterday. I searched and searched for at least one valid point to support him BUT got none. I always end up at the same thing. How would Ishita, as a woman, feel when she comes to know about her husband's betrayal.

Anyways, coming back to the point, having watched a few Ek's shows before and thoroughly experienced with her ways, I just don't think we are going get RKB back. This show is so done.

The little optimist in me would like to believe in miracles and one is needed to resurrect this show now.

A good post...RKB become popular for his looks and sarcastic tongue...the guilty, tear filled eyes, harassed look and too much beard...not what made him popular... Wish CVs will take a step back, review the current track, actors looks and understand the fans feedback

I think RKB is becoming more complex character day by day. frankly I was only attracted by Raman and ruhi character s ruhi is the innocent soul and RKB is the one of the strongest male characters which can differenciate between right and wrong,he is able to handle everyone especially his emotional mom and his wife but things are getting changed now. I am unable to understand if they really wanted to serve yhm as a female dominant show then why they gave us high hopes regarding Raman and his way of justice?? Raman,the man who know every nerve of his ex wife how could he easily befooled by her? the man who knew his rival ashok, how could he put himself low in front of him?? but somehow I forgot his all nonsense because of his attitude towards his family. I admit sometime because of family we have to take some drastic steps and I know he will able to manage ashok but shagun????? seriously yaar. that was height of too much. okk that was enough of my rant but frankly speaking so somehow from deep from my heart I have still faith on raman. whenever I expect for any justice,my eyes alwayswnt towards Raman and somehow from deep from my heart Iknew that this time also Raman will became reason for unity of mom daughter.
okk let's talk about yest epi so seriously my heart didn't allowing to bash poor soul. just see na how much difficult for any parent when he knew that his child will commit suicide,definetly he will give his protective hand towards that child so I don't think so he did wrong and regarding to ishita and that intimacy part, every one is bashing him for his deeds but why you guys didnt noticing his guilty tears? I am not justifying him but ya he just wanted to tell ishita that he loves her unconditionally and his both kids also. many of you are deciding to leave this show but I think we should remain the loyal viewers and again I am telling that I have full faith on my rkb that he will definetly bring his family back.

NOTE: gan do, I am not here to critisize anyone,I am just sharing my views and trying to spread positivity because for me at end of the time, RKB always did everything OK, so I have faith on him...
