He cleared his tears away and said "I have given you what you have asked for...I have signed away my happiness for your happiness...Bring Adi back home...everyone will praise you...but do remember...I will be nowhere in sight...Yeah you are right...Adi needs this family...but I too need you..more than anything..."

"Raman..." She tried to say something but her voice gave away while both were standing staring at each other in silence.

"And one more thing..I would have been more than happy..If you have given me our symbol of love..our own child...but then...I didn't know you think so low of me..."

She tried to speak but he shut her and continued "Everything is finished...Sorry for hurting you so much...But now there is nothing left between us to say...Enjoy your last night here..but remember...after you left this house...Adi will fill the void for others but not me...and maybe..i won't be able to accept him against you...but I will never forget my responsibility of being a father.."

He almost ran away from the room shutting the door behind him. He was broken. Never in his heart of hearts..he had thought that he would see a day like this.

He drove away on the lonely streets of delhi at this odd hour but he care less. On the other side it was no good for ishita, After he left she cried hard and called his name again and again but she knew he have already gone away and he will never come back. She cursed her life for snatching away love of her life and a family she adore.

She sat there crying for hours staring at the papers and cursing her faith..

Everything seems to be a nightmare to Ishita. She can't believe she actually did that. Hurting Raman was the last thing she wanted to do but this time she did that sin. She couldn't muster up the courage to walk to him and ask him to come back. Just this one time, she wanted to forget everything she did and be with him. Just this one time she wanted to tell him, that he is going to be a father.

She wanted to see that happiness in his eyes when he will hold their baby in his hands. She wanted to see the same affection from their families for their baby. She wanted to live all those moments. She wanted to be get pampered by their families..by him..but alas, God has never did justice to her in past and when finally she had a life, a loving husband, adorable daughter and family, she has to give up them all.

"Why" A question left unanswered always! She can't do anything now. Everything is gone. These mere papers have that power to end her several memories and a beautiful relation.

She cleared her face and saw everyone has almost left her alone in that hall. She couldn't help but gave a sad smile knowing it isn't there fault. She took her steps back and stepped out of the house not before having that last look of the place. She smiled to herself. She is leaving with so many memories and a blessing with her.

This baby is her only support for which she is going to live from now. She caressed her stomach while tears formed in her eyes.

Finally, her wait was over. She was waiting for Shagun and Adi to come. And as soon she saw them coming Adi came and hugged her instantly caring less of the Shagun who was burning seeing this side of her son.

She had invested her 7 years to this guy, and still he is choosing Ishita, his step-mother over her. She was burning in jealousy but the only relief to her was that Ishita and Raman are separate now. She can win Raman back whenever she wants through Adi and Ruhi. She will take her revenge of insulting her.

Ishita caressed Adi's head and calming him down she turned to see Shagun smirking at her. Ishita couldn't help but gave a chuckle on the guts of the lady.

"Aren't you an human..Can't you see how badly you are hurting my son..?" Ishita said with utmost disgust towards her.

Adi couldn't help but feel happy about mentioning him as my son. He can't even remember the last time he treated her as his mother. He felt really sorry for his father and himself of not seeing the true colors of this lady. He listened to Shagun carefully, saying bad and cruel things to her.

"Shut up Ishita...be in your limits..He is my son and I will never hurt him. Whatever I am doing is for him. I am not a bad mother like you. People like you who can't even carry her own child, now she will teach me how to be a mother." Shagun said with snatching adi away from Ishita. She can see her son melting in Ishita's arm. This is the last thing she wanted to mess it up.

On the other side, Adi can see the difference now clearly. He knew very well what needs to be done now. He is sure about it. Though Shagun is his birth mother, but she can't be a good mother neither can she think anything good for him. Only because of her selfish reasons, she had kept him away from his father for 7 years. Isn't that too much to handle.

"You know what Shagun...I can't blame you completely...You won't ever change..Only if you would have cared enough for your family and children, no one would have faced these situations. Adi and Ruhi would have lived happily with their father and family."

Ishita said with utmost anger towards this shameless woman.

"Ishita...I am not here to listen to your lectures, just give me those dam divorce papers, and get the hell out of here." Shagun said snatching those papers from her hands and re-checking them. She really didn't believe any member of the Bhalla family. Though the papers seem genuine, but she can't trust any one of them when it comes to Ishita.

"Shagun...before you do anything, I want you to sign these papers." Ishita handed her a file which sort of confused Shagun. She looked through the papers and was shocked. She shouldn't have underestimated this woman.

Ishita knew Shagun's traits are not of a trustworthy woman that she had proved for herself. So, she consulted a lawyer and have already made the papers ready for Adi's custody. Shagun cannot deny it as even if she try she will not be able to keep Adi with her as she isn't working and this is a major factor which can go against her in court.

"Ishita, I already told you, that once you will divorce Raman, I will give Adi to Raman. Now what's the point of signing these papers? Adi is my son too. I just can't give him away like that." Shagun said while thinking for a valid argument to not sign those papers.

"That's why I told you Shagun, I don't blame you for being like this. I don't want to say anything to you but just sign these papers. Because I don't trust you when it comes about my family. Do as I say, rest I know how to handle it my way too."

Shagun, though reluctantly, signed away those papers. She had really not given a thought about it that what if Ishita will play it like this. But, whatever it is, she will have her way in this. She is still Adi's mother, and she will do what she is best at. Shagun left from there asking adi to come along.

One look at Adi and she knew she did right. Ishita took Adi's hand and they both settled on the bench. Both were having tears in their eyes. They were not sure what to say to each other as they haven't shared any emotional bond before. It was just the circumstances that made them behave this way.

Ishita thought of ending this silence, and kept her hand on Adi's while said "Adi, will you promise me something please..?"

He looked at her and nodded.

Um..Actually, I don't know how to say this, but please can you take care of Raman and Ruhi in my absence. They both don't know how to take care of themselves and you being the elder brother, please handle Ruhi. And, Raman, so just be with him whenever you can. He loves you more than anything. He would be so happy to have you back."

She smiled with tears in her eyes. He was looking at Ishita with utmost shock in his eyes. What this woman is made up of.

He smiled and said "yeah..sure I will, but I don't think they both will be happy having me on the cost of losing you.."

Ishita's smile vanished on hearing such a thing like that. She nodded in a no and asked him not to think like this. She finally told him to go, his family must be waiting. He nodded and left but not before giving a gentle hug to Ishita, caring enough not to hurt her.

Ishita couldn't help but find similarities between Raman and Adi. They both are same when it comes to dealing with their emotional pain and their weaknesses. Ishita closed her eyes for a second and cried hard not knowing where to go now. She can't go back to Bhalla house at it isn't where she belong now. She can't live with Iyers, where she has to see Raman and Ruhi in pain neither she can see that anger in Raman's eyes daily.

She really can't bear that sight again. Never. This would be the last time she will be hurting them only for sake of Adi. Now, she knew no one will be alone except her. She was so exhausted from the emotional pain that was taking a toll on her heart. She tried to take deep breaths but couldn't as suddenly a pain hit her in stomach.

She wasn't able to shout for any help but still tried to stand and call someone out. She has left with nothing in her life except this baby. She just can't afford to lose it. She had walked merely few steps when the world around her turned black and she passed out in a moment only to be caught by the pair of arms calling out to her.

On the other side, Shagun entered the house with Adi taking slow steps. She made a sorry face and held Adi tightly in his embrace.

Everyone gathered in the living room ready for another round of chaos about to happen. Shagun seem unaffected by the faces they were making at her. Soon Mrs. Bhalla's eyes travelled to a crestfallen Adi. Her eyes were brimming with tears looking at the poor soul. She was indeed happy and proud of Ishita for taking this step and bringing Adi back to her but this didn't felt right to her.

For the obvious reasons which say she had started loving Ishita like her own daughter. She was the only one person in this house who have the ability to keep everyone happy. She couldn't help but pray for her to come back.

Apart from that, first time everyone's steps are halted and unlike before no one dared to step in the direction of Adi. They all wanted to hug him and console him but something in their heart were stopping them from doing so.

Shagun felt the same thing. The people who were ready to give away anything for Adi, today, they are not moving an inch for them. She was scared if her plan will fail where she will go, but then she is never going to accept her defeat.

Raman came downstairs and knowing Shagun well, he kept his face straight as he has to deal with this lady tactfully. If he say, he doesn't know what's happening around then people has surely mistaken him.

"Oh...So, finally you are here. I was just waiting for you only. Say, what's your next dirty move lady. Whole family is here, you can play your games better and easily, isn't it.." Raman said walking up to her and giving her a sarcastic smile.

Shagun have surely not plan this conversation like this. She had believed him to be angry and emotionally drain out but he is not even near to it. He is sounding so calm yet hard to deal with. She managed to mask her fears and said "Raman..you can't talk like that to me..I am your wife and your children's mother, so think before you speak.."

"Before you get your hopes high Shagun, Let me make myself very clear, you are not my wife but ex-wife. And yeah maybe you would be my children's biological mother but Ishita is their real mother. Get that straight in your head..."

She glared at him angrily and before she could even mention anything Raman snatched away the papers she was holding in her hand. She called out to him to get them back but he just shrugged her hand away and opened the file.

He smiled looking at the papers. And then he saw another set of papers and got angry again not on anyone but on that one person because of whom he have to face this situation.

"Shagun, I guess your work is over here. According to your condition, I and Ishita have signed those ...those divorce papers, and now I can see My madrasan has played you well, I must say she is beauty with brains..."

He smirked at her while Shagun stood there not knowing what to say to this man. The day which she had perfectly planned for her is now turning out to be completely different from what she wanted.

"I should talk to you straight I think, you are quite nave to understand. Well you have signed Adi's custody to us. So now you can leave Adi here and get the hell out of here..." Raman just shouted at her but this time she is not having it,

"I am not going anywhere Raman. I know I have signed away Adi's custody, but that really doesn't mean I will leave my son between you people who don't know how to treat people...I am going to live with my son here in this house only, else I am not giving him away.."

"Oh..so this was your plan, you wanted to come back in our lives replacing Ishita. God.." he stopped and looked at Adi.

He asked Romi to take Adi inside to Ruhi's room. Adi, not even once, looked back at his mother. Shagun called him back but he didn't turned around. Everyone noted this and can feel the pain he is going through.

"Shagun..I am warning you...don't even think of misusing my son for your selfish reasons. You have done this 7 years ago too and you are doing this again but this time I won't let you do that, I won't let you hurt my family let alone my son..."

Raman warned her pointing his finger out to her making her scared of his glares.

"what you will do hann...really..He is my son raman, he still listens to me more than you, more than anyone here...do you get that, I am not letting you snatch him away from me...

"You woman...don't you have brains, you signed away his custody..." Raman counter back.

"I indeed signed way his custody but I can still fight for it. And you know I can do that..." Shagun smirked back at him finally having the conversation like she wanted.

"Yeah..and how you are going to do that..care to explain..." Raman gritted his teeth at her.

"No matter what Raman...Adi will always choose me over you, and if you really want Adi with you than you have to accept me as well. Marry me Raman. Or I still have it in me to take my son back. Choice is yours."

"No, Mom..I won't be coming with you..." Adi said while walking down the stairs of the living room giving shock to Shagun.
