"There is a primal reassurance in being touched, in knowing that someone else, someone close to you, wants to be touching you. There is a bone-deep security that goes with the brush of a human hand, a silent, reflex-level affirmation
that someone is near, that someone cares."
Jim Butcher

Loved today's episode as the focus shifted on what relationships are all about ; be it blood or otherwise.

  • A friend and brother decided to step back to ensure he's not a hurdle in his friend's chance to shine.
  • A bhabi reached out to her nanad and shared her own life experience to make her see that marriage does not always mean end of freedom for women.
  • The man of the house who was in the predicament about choosing between dignity and job security reached out to his wife as this was their life together and the decision was not only his to take.
  • The wife gave her unequivocal support and together they decided the most feasible path.
  • The two lost souls in a family revived their old bond today just by letting the younger one know he is not alone.

What a subtle but powerful episode of human ties..some of blood and some of heart.

Raman said the most poignant dialogue of the episode today :

waqt ki sabse badi khasiyat yeh hai ke woh palat ta rehta hai

Shagun if you're paying attention. There is more to life than bank balance and sarees. Life in the form of your son is looking at you...

The moments of the episode for me:

Lovely interpretation : (page 3)

There are some subtle scenes that shows how unique IshRa is. I loved that Ishita didn't go for his hand and hold it rather, she waited for him to want to hold and when he did, she forwarded her hand for him to hold! It might seem a very simple scene but to me, it was Ishita assuring him, that, 'It's nothing! You don't need my supporting hand. Nothing's changed, you're still in charge'. And that for me, makes all the differences in the world. It's nice to have someone hold your hand reassuringly when things are bad, but I think it's nicer when someone makes you feel that things aren't bad at all!

Resss!...I cannot wait until the day someone tells Shagun her bank account is about to be depleted!

I actually think I hate this negligent, uber selfish Shagun more than the scheming, one expressioned Shagun! But I like it bc now I can hate Shagun for the character and not just bc she eats up 80% of the screen time! 🤔

@Gan - that edited picture gives me goosebumps! You've captured such a powerful scene!
...

Okay snarkiness aside, I just loved today's episodes because there was subtle plot development that was driven by relationships between the characters.

@Gan - your additional collages & comments hit the ball out of the ballpark! 👏

Yes, we had to see Shagun for a few minutes, but I can tolerate today's Shagun. She's not just being vile and vampy, but we are seeing the "deeper" layers of her character. Her value on social standing and desire for flashy material possessions was highlighted. I still hold that she loves Adi in her own weird way, but she's trapped in her own desires to chase material wealth.

The two scenes that spoke volumes to me today were: (1) Romi-Adi bonding & (2) Raman seeking out Ishita to share his burdens.

Romi-Adi bonding: I had mentioned this yesterday briefly, but I love that they paralleled the story of these two wayward Bhallas boys. They truly are two sides of the same coin. Both went down a path of misdeeds because they received more indulgence than discipline. However, Romi, as evidence by his talks today, had more exposure to the goodness that is inherent in the Bhalla family, and as an adult, he has more perspective on his actions now. Adi, on the other hand, has only been exposed to lies about the Bhallas and now carries the burden of protecting his mother. As a child, Adi does not have a clear world view to help him sort things out. So who better than Romi to share Adi's burden and who better than Adi to help Romi find some perspective?

Raman seeking out Ishita: Gone are the days of the licence track where both Raman and Ishita did things for each other, but did not tell each other about them until the end. When stress hits Raman's life - who does he reach out to? His rock - his biwi. We often hear Raman comment on how different Shagun & Ishita are, but it makes sense for him to do so, these women are as different as chalk & cheese. Had this problem risen with Shagun in his life, the advice he would have gotten would have been dramatically different. Today, by encouraging the path less chosen and focusing on where Raman's happiness lies, Ishita solidified the differences between her and Shagun in Raman's mind, and I'd like to think that we'll be hearing way less comparisons of the two from Raman.

For a man to become unemployed, a large part of his identity is ripped from him. Traditionally men are the breadwinners, and for Raman this role has even more depth. His first wife left him because he couldn't be a "sufficient" breadwinner, but Ishita restored Raman's dignity and worth as head of the family in her one action of encouraging Raman to leave his job for his self-respect and to seek his happiness!

Two kostins for the day - if Raman quits/gets fired...where will they live? Also, will the MD still keep Appa employed?

At the risk of sounding repetitive now, I'll end my post with this...

RES

***

UPDATED:

"They sat on a park bench, held hands, and told each other their stories hour after hour. They were not lonely anymore. They had found and been found by their 100% perfect other. What a wonderful thing it is to find and be found by your 100% perfect other. It's a miracle, a cosmic miracle."
" Haruki Murakami

This is the quote that came to mind while watching today's episode. As Ishita spoke of her bond with her husband, and RKB sought out his wife in a moment of uncertainty, I couldn't help but be content at the fact that despite all odds, and quite unexpectedly, by some divine intervention, these two found each other.

***

That 1st edit is magical, Gan. You know I'm a sucker for your B&W edits 😳
The quote is pure perfection. Just random thoughts from me today. I loved the episode so much...it reminded me of the episodes surrounding Mihir-Mihika's engagement.

**

Raman's support of Mihir then echoed in his stepping aside for his friend-brother today, vowing not to come in the way of his success. I love this relationship they share. Both would give and do anything for each other. Such friendships...relationships, are very rare. A relationship in which you are truly invested in someone without asking for anything in return. Its no secret that Mihir wouldn't have accepted the job had he known it was taken from Raman and given to him...as for RKB, he's been known to make sacrifices for the ones he loves...I'd like to believe it's more than just a sacrifice in this case though. RKB knows Mihir deserves this, and is capable, what it could mean for his little brother's career. He once gave up his presidency for Ishita. Mihir is no less. He'd hand the company over without a second thought if need-be. That's just the stuff he's made of. The stuff of a man you can't help but respect. Love these two in their poignant moments. A little brother overjoyed at the success only his older brother could have made possible...and an older brother stepping aside to allow his little brother to shine, all the while standing as a strong pillar of support. Love It.

**

Is it just me or is Ishita unbelievably beautiful when she speaks of her love for & relationship with her husband? I know some may have thought her monologue to be a little on the 'lecture' side today, but for me, every bit of it was a beautiful realization. It reminded me of the time she was talking to Mihika on the balcony when she was first beginning to realize that just maybe she's in love with her husband. How beautiful the journey between then and now has been. Then, the idea of his being her husband - apart from her daughter's papa - was almost a foreign thought. Now, he's her husband first, and Ruhi's papa after. How true what she said - that you don't know what you've been missing until that very thing comes into your life and shakes up your perceived balance and contentedness. We can't appreciate the beauty of something if we've never experienced it. Never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined this life...this level of contentedness as she has found with him. She still spoke of Ruhi as being the missing link in her life, but Ruhi gave her something she never dreamt of, never bargained for - this relationship she now shares with a man who exceeded all her expectations. I love the certainty with which she speaks of the strength of their bond - one which has been cultivated in the purest of ways...through their growing support and understanding of one another over all these weeks, months. There once was a time when she wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to make a place for herself in his heart...but today, she's completely confident in the same...she's finally realized her ability to love and be loved...and I think it's beautiful.

**

RKB surely is a different man, isn't he? The RKB of a few months ago would never have burdened someone else with his worries. He's always been the one to shoulder the burden on his own...not knowing what it's like to have someone there who would actually want to share the burden with you. Of late however, he's realized what it's like to have a companion who will gladly help you carry the weight of life. The RKB of a few months ago would have spent sleepless nights over this and then "handled" it on his own; he would have tried to fix the problem before his family realized that there was a problem at all. This RKB however, actually sought out his wife today...seeking her reassuring guidance and support. I've said it before, I know, but how wonderful it must be for him to finally have someone to turn to in moments like this. There's a quote: There must be those among who we can sit down and weep, and still be counted as warriors. I think this is what Ishita is for RKB. He can fall apart before her - completely unravel, and she'll still be his pillar, a source of encouragement who, through her faith in him, will restore his faith in himself.

I know I sound like a broken record when I say that the level of understanding that these two share baffles me, but it does. Loved the conversation...her ability to read right through him, his inability to hide his insecurities from her, and then realizing he doesn't need to, because she'll stand with him no matter the storm they face.

The moment he sought her hand...that comforting, reassuring touch. I can't even...your quote above says it all.

ADI...mere jigar ka tukda. ❤️

I know I've previously claimed that Shagun does in fact love her son, but her actions of late are making me question the same. My heart goes out to this little boy who's mom is too self-centered to care for him.

I am so thankful for this track, and everything leading up to it (yes, even the unrealistic nonsense at times) because my Adi will finally get he love and family he's been missing out on all these years. Loved the moment between Adi and his Chachu today. My heart goes out to Romi as it does to Adi - they've both been influenced by and fallen victim to Shagun's misdeeds. At such a time, if Adi and his Chachu can find a bit of solace in each other, then why not? I look forward to seeing what's to come with Adi...I'm so hopeful that things will finally change for the better for this misguided child. Going by his change in demeanor in yesterday's episode, I think it's safe to say that with Ishita's influence, things will turn around sooner than later. Finally.

***

Sorry for the rant. It has been a while...I got carried away. 😳

Love,
P

RES:
gan..waiting for ur update.. was wondering when u r going to open the thread... aaj hum bolenge... bahut mann hain... ami futchi...
That pic..amazing.. sigh...tht was the most close to real one can get in reel world.. wish people cud see it..

edited...

beautiful post yaar... agree with u 100% percent...here r my takes on the same..

the scene between raman n ishita reminded me so much of our daily life... how at times our spouses try to hide n yet cant seem to hide the worries n tensions.. i was praying to yhm gods.. tht raman shares his problem with ishita n not hide it.. like I always say this to my husband.. if you decide to hide things from me not to give me tension...remember you r breaking ur deal of sharing ur life with me... i feel husband wife relationship shud be like a Sponge... you soak away all worries of your spouse by just being there. That is marriage...n the scene like tht in tellyworld is rare..infact i dont think i have seen something like this ever in hindi serials...
u can understand the scene touched me very deeply...

scene between rinki n ishita... bhabi nanad bonding at its best... yes rinki doesnt want to marry...n i completely understand her predictament... but ishita is not forcing her to marry..she is just asking her to meet the guy..coz u never know when u meet the guy you wanna share ur life with... ( i rejected my husband's pic twice before falling in love with the person he is...)

the first scene between raman n mihir i missed... so will have to see it to comment on it... but i m so proud of raman tht he didnt feel inferior or jealous of the situation..n went ahead to supprt his lil bro... tht makes him a true Human being...

Shagun...no comment... but there r woman like this in real life...

Adi.. aaj kal mujhe yeh acha lag raha hain... i m finding him as real 11 yr old boy... 😳 i think his acting has also improved...

if we get to see such realistic drama (ofcourse drama to hoga hi...) in yhm... i dont mind even if it is out of top 5 in trp war... coz no offense to any show.. if you have to have OTT drama n not so good actor to be at top 1... hum last hi sahi...

If you see this serial...n compare with any seriall...ekta or nonekta... u will be amazed as how close to real life it is... yesterday only... kya sujjha..i was reading synopsis of a very old kekta serial... n i was wondering...wow man..killing each other..plastic surgery was the order of the day... n they were on top... so rehene do yaaro... hum akele hi jee lenge...

i felt connected to the epi...n yes thats y a long rant...

I m verbose like ishita...n we talk a lot... yeh u can say we lecture...but hum dil ke ache aur sache hain..

n again Gan..thanks for the thread...lovely collages... n a place where we can all freely keep our opinion...was not regular for few days... missed ur posts a lot...

That's a brilliant pic Gan... Liked it when Ishita extended her hand on her own when Raman was about to extend his hand... The much needed support which this man could ever get till date... Its not right to bring Shagun anymore but this woman has let Raman hide everything within his own self... Today, this man is sharing everything... Due to his Ishita...

Liked Ishita's advice... It was sensible... Full of positivity... She made him believe that he's not trash... She told that he's not losing anything by coming out of his job... That was awesome... When she said that its of no use working in a place where you don't feel interested, it was too good... Saving grace in that episode... Our YHM's touch was there...

When Shagun had to literally beg for a living, here, this woman is asking Raman to follow his heart because she's also there to take care of everything... Independent lady... Felt proud of this woman...

Didn't like that convincing part when Rinky had to agree for a marriage even when she's pursuing her dreams. Yes, Ishita doesn't support this idea and she's doing it for Toshi but i want cv's to give a message. Rinky needs a chance to stand on her own. Poor Simmi is also depending on her brother for her needs. Not that every male turns out to be Param but still, a girl can also fly. Want a sensible end...

Now, Shagun's track is bring dragged and dragged... Want her bidaai soon... Adi is also seeing the truth now. No use dragging it anymore...

That Moment ...Screen Freezed ❤️

"I can overcome all my fears if you just have faith in me. I can face all my problems if you just stay by my side. I can gather the shattered pieces of my life with one hand if you are holding the other. I can live with my flaws if you just love me the way I am. I can give you my body, heart and soul if I am loved to the core. Oh! my beloved Soul mate we can conquer the world if we are together forever."

Beautiful Moment..I loved the way u gave this Moments a Black-white Touch so Looks gives like its Golden Moment..A moment which going to stay...Loved it.. the way it end ws Ut Most get a teary smile on face...It had assurance a promise to stay together in every thick & thin time...

It ws Heart-Touching moment... sigh

I loved the Part when Raman ws Like whom to talk...the 1st person came in mind ws Ishita...he knew she might understand...He ws waiting when Ishita gets some times from family he talks to her...but when he tries to talk taking his friend as reference...(tht time reminds of Bala-Raman advice he asked bala how to approach Ishu..that time bala didnt said to him but understood he talked of himself & Ishu) like hesitant of how will she react...sharing this..him not still not knowing how to open up fully...he had surpressed from sharing anything with anyone...

Loved Ishu's pat reply to Chod Do Raman...

Raman- main apni nahi baat kar raha...

Ishu- Raman Chod Do...

What a Beauty of this ws Without even making him say its about him...yet Un-said words of Raman understood by Ishu...

Ishu-where ur heart doesnt allow to work...there is no Point in working...Her making him realize his potential...that work with dignity...with self-respect..work where his heart lies with...where his work is respected...

Loved u mentioning that dialogue of Raman " Waqt jaise bhi ho woh badalta zaroor hai"

There ws time when only thing mattered to Raman ws earning Money...shagun leaving made him money churning machine...he had work..with No human feeling left in him...only thing mattered to him ws become big & have fat bank balance...but with times changing...him valuing relationships more...but at same time him want to work with dignity..with his potential is respected...

Ishu extending him she is standing beside him...managing the home...but she wanting him to work with Respect...what A Beauty of Relationship.. him extending hand towards her assuring him with holding hand..s...what more needed a person only matters Life partner standing by side in every way in which ever time of Life it is...

I had this song going in my mind for this Moment...❤️

Ek pyaar kaa naghamaa hai, maujon ki ravaani hai
Zindagi aur kuchh bhi nahin, teri meri kahaani hai...
Kuchh paakar khonaa hai, kuchh khokar paanaa hai
Jeevan ka matalab to, aanaa aur jaanaa hai
Do pal ke jeevan se, ek umr churaani hai
Zindagi aur kuchh bhi nahin, teri meri kahaani hai...

I liking this change Cv's r coming in Adi's char & his side..i liked him understanding & differentiating the things...I liked how Adi couldnt let himself enter into Bhalla house & Ask his father about the fees...the person he always rejected..his father cant do anything for him..disrespected him...he couldnt go there ask him for money...

I liked Adi-Romi scene it ws sweet to watch...

I loved Gan U summed up all the scenes of the episode...its all about Relationship holding hand..in every way...it gave entirely a different feel to the episode...

RES... to family- the ones we have, the ones form and the ones we never knew we needed- and the power of a few simple words.

----EDIT---

G, what a beautiful, realistic episode we had today- and you captured the essence of it in your post and collage. Special thanks for the Romi -Adhi collage.

Romi reminds me of my brother... maybe that's why I have such a soft spot for him , I don't know but I really loved that scene. I feel like it's the first time I've seen Adhi so joyously and spontaneously hug someone over something that wasn't a material gift... it was nice.😃

The whole episode was fantastic, vintage YHM now with the warmth of love that surrounds every ISHRA moment... loved it.

Mihir's scene was short but really nice- that hug... looks like RKB is getting a longer hold from Mihir than Ishu these days... 😉 and I loved the childlike glee Mihir showed for this opportunity, and KP played Raman's struggle in the realization to perfection. And while waiting for Rinki's verdict- the switching between joy, and hesitancy... so well done by KP. 👏👏👏

Loved the conversation between Ishu and Rinki.. definitely not preachy - from my experience this is simply how these conversations go and I think it was very well played. Seeing that scene , despite her own misgivings, I honestly felt like Ishu approached it similar to how she might approach Miku in the same situation. Very practical- understanding and acknowledging the validity of Rinki's fears while using her own experience (which everyone knows was much more complex) as a point of comparison was definitely the way to go.

It's interesting that it's Ishu that was chosen guide Rinki in this issue, and not Simmi... really rather reminds me of the Ishu/Vandhu/Miku set up in the different things we turn to in different people. I know that Ishu's career and station in life is a part of it, but I also feel like their personalities and outlook on life have to do with it as well. The other thing I loved about the talk was the way that Ishu seemed to lose herself a bit when she started reminiscing about her own marriage.. so sweet. 😊 Again a reminder of how far they've come, as well it gave the viewers a glimpse into Ishu's rarely discussed past which was also rather nice.

And for the first time in a long time I actually enjoyed seeing Shagun on my screen, the scene with her friends was so good. Ofcourse her friends are just like her and I love how they gave her the kind of digs that she gives everyone else...

...it's lovely to see her get some of her own medicine. And the way she floundered around... perfect. As the the saying goes, with friends like this who needs enemies?🤣

Shagun girl listen to what you friends are telling you.

#Time to find a sugar daddy #Set your targets at Suraj#If not him how about Raman's MD #he meets all your requirements too #Think about it#Secure your future #Your present isn't going to get any better #Ishu won't bankroll your sarees #Unless you want to take some of hers #No barely covering the essentials blouses in her collection though

As for ISHRA and Romi-Adhi scenes you all have certainly said it better then me. I do have to say how glad I am am to see the real Ishita back... this was the understanding Ishita that was missing during that Mani track...I really hope she remains on our screen, especially during the testing times to come.

Petty thought of the day:

How come Shagun has female friends and Ishita doesn't?

#Not fair #Ishu needs a friend #Ishu needs a female BFF#Not on that'll be after RKB #Ishu needs her 'person' #Find a friend for Ishu CVs #Don't need to look far #I nominate Simmi #They balance each other out #Plus it helps my Simmi-Abhi cause 😳

#53 regular episodes since Shagun re-entered Bhalla house #Thought Romi was her end game #Looks like it's Rinki #Unless she has something on Simmi #Atleast that might bring Param back #YHM's one true villlan #But Still, down with Shagun # Speak up Romi #One truth and the whole game will change #Can't hardly wait

Lovely caps which depicts how a support system can evade away all the odds and smile with a hope of a better future.

EDITED:

The episode placed so close to reality.

Adi is slowly making me fade away all the sour taste I had in my mouth for him.The kid is acting now maturely and it gives me pain to watch a kid who showered his unconditional love for his selfish mom is being treated so badly .Shagun...I don't know why, whenever I take her name it make me cringe. How could a mother be so selfish ..that her designer saris gets priority than her son's studies?😡But the best part is that, Adi is getting to see the selfish side of his dearest mom.I always felt that when Shagun will face some tight financial condition she will do blunders and that may lead to Adi's realization about his mom. And now Adi will witness the stark difference of two mothers...Shagun and his step mom Ishita. And it will ultimately facilitate the path towards Adi's Bhallafication. Is Shagun even realizing what she is doing? She is in the threshold of loosing another child.

The way Ishita made Rinki realize that even after marriage she can pursue studies and make a career..was so close to reality.I loved this Bhabhi-nanad wala scene.I loved it even more bcoz the way Ishita explained the dynamics of her and Raman's relationship...she was saying it with a happy wala tone and sounded so content with the marriage.😃 It sounded like she was narrating a fairy tale marriage between couples so different in nature but still bonded by immense love, trust and respect.

And then...Raman's confiding in Ishita and making her know about the the dark phase which he is facing. It amazed me how Ishita instantly joined the dots and understood that Raman was talking about his problem And her dialogue.."chod do Raman"..WOW!!The woman doesn't want her PRIDE..her MAN to bow down before any insult. She has seen him always walking in dignity and honor ,so there should not be any difference now.If anyone knows that someone is there to support in tough times then it becomes so easy to come out of any odds in life.

And hope Mihir finds out the truth and does something in this matter.I want the boss come begging to Raman and say he was wrong.Lastly I loved..loved..loved how Shagun's friend insulted her..kya dhoya hain usko.😆
