my biggest problem with this track- and to an extent, this show- is the emotional intelligence of the children. one of the reason i've stopped watching the show as well. adi is neither old enough to be this evil step-child nor he is so young to not understand what divorce is. i'm fed up with this horrible monster they've made adi. honestly, he's 12! on that note- i'd also say that our forum members are not so great either giving him names like susu bachcha 🤢 imagine reaction of the kid playing adi if he were to read these :(
as much as i wanted all the questions ruhi asked out in the open, i wanted another mouth speaking it. coming from ruhi, it was dramatic, yes, but highly unrealistic. why couldn't ruhi question it simply like you said? or if they wanted drama, why couldn't rinki or simmi say it? or even bala or mihir?
bhalla family has 4 kids- yet they still don't know how to raise kids. adi, and ruhi, are given complete free rein over the adults.
unrealistic and uncomfortable behaviors

Thank You Rutu... I agree with whatever you said. They have kids on the extreme ends of the spectrum. Adi acting as he wishes, with the criminal mind of an adult but emotional intelligence of an infant. and then there is Ruhi, who some times (more often these days), acts like she is the only one who knows right from wrong.

You already said a lot of valid points and agree with you completely..I won't compare it with two kands -Raman-shagun anniversary v/s Lohri Pooja . But in both situations common thing was - kid (ADI) plays a very important role. Both of time lead agreed to do something under the influence of a kid. Unfortunately Ruhi was not present in New years celebration Otherwise i am sure even Ishita kand would be stopped by her.

CV is hell blent on showing ADI as criminal and Ruhi as saviour. I don't care about the love story of Ishra anymore. But what is painful to watch is Kids are treated/ was given adult type roles/dialogue.

In the name of drama CV can show any nonsense thing.

Reality- Look at IQ level of 6years old kid with my real life expreience

YHM kids

My 6yrs old nephew don't understand the meaning of specs with number. He was fighting with my niece that she didn't tell him that her eyes has a number. Actually poke his fingers in her eyes to see to where is the number written on eyes..We all were enjoying this so called innocent talks so much that we forget to stop them..

Here 6 year old is well aware of husband-wife relations. Very well aware of what is the right of wife and what is duties and responsibilities of husss-band.

My 4 and half year old kid don't know meaning of husband and wife. He consider me as momma and my hubby as dadda .. He life revolves around superman, spiderman and all types of super-heros and most importantly the cars.In fact he address my mom as Aai because of me .. He don't understand the meaning of Nani as well.Serial dekh kar mujhe pata chala mera baccha bahut hi dumb hai😭

Here in this serial - cv is using kid as adult. Which is very painful to watch...

I don't feel good when I watch kids roles in YHM because I get the feeling that somewhere someone is killing the innocence in kid?

ADI = already said a lot to him and his parents.. God bless him.

P.S. Just my POV .. Respect different POV as well😃

Excellent post Mayu... I am just getting used to your left-right analysis 😆

anyway... I just replied to someone here. They have represented the 2 kids on extreme sides of the spectrum. One child, Adi who has the criminal tendencies and smartness of an adult, but emotional intelligence of an infant. On the other hand, you have a 6-year old girl Ruhi who seems to be able to not only understand but also judge actions of adults around her. One child is extremely evil and the other extremely smart and sorted. Both are not real, and both have been given those characteristics for dramatic reasons, not for the story moving forward.

Agree. But nowadays children are exceptionally talented in many arts. Like this, Ruhi can be a mature and balanced kid with good judgement. We see in reality shows how some kids talk. So may be Ruhi is a special child.

I also feel that good judgmental person may not be an adult only. Some kids do have that capability to see what is wrong and what is right. Ruhi is exposed to many turmoils in this one year. She saw adi's bad behavior with her in the school and she also denied to hate her Ishima when Adi tried to instigate her.
In all. Chalo, cvs this time did not disappoint us.

Yes, I do understand about kids growing up faster (and more maturely) these days. I am also surprised by the amount of knowledge and emotional intelligence they possess. Ruhi is in a situation where her perceptive nature gets a boost... I mean she is a part of a dysfunctional family, to say the least.

But her actions and some of her statements didnt look too real to me. and as a family, the Bhallas should really be worried about her growing up too fast.

Thanks for commenting, and I understand your point-of-view too! we did need an ending (rather a relief) for the current drama they were showing us.

I understand that kids tend to grow up beyond their age especially when they have gone through situations such as shown on the show but at the same time there is a limit to which that happens. I would have bought the whole Ruhi drama if it had shown more of Ruhi's insecurity of what was happening around her rather than the OTT drama and her mouthing off those adult dialogues.Something simple and innocent would have been a whole lot more effective. The drama that was shown just didn't do anything for me.

Thank You 😊

@bold... yes... I feel, more often than not, that if they make Ruhi more innocent, I would like it much better. Because you dont need a preacher to tell you that you are wrong. Some times a 6-year old's innocent question could knock you out!

If I may express my opinion...slightly different too...>> Thanks for commenting, and yes, differing views are welcome 😊

That Ruhi has no regards or respect...or should I say emotions for Shagun is but natural, children often get moulded fitting to the circumstances they grow up in...Ruhi has grown up in an environment where her father snubbed her...the others in the house would have lamented critically of Shagun and cursed her...the loud family that they are...She has grown up hearing Shagun left her and the family...And now that she truly understands a mother, its but natural for her to be indifferent to Shagun despite being her biological mother...And what Ruhi blurted out could be the same fear that she may lose Ishima...what she has been observing the past few days should have scared the kid...and finally erupted when she saw Adi pestering his father to perform puja with Shagun while her Dad wanted to wait for Ishima...>> I understand Ruhi feeling insecure, and scared about losing Ishita in this whole mess of a family. The expression of that fear, could have been made as explosive as this scene was, albeit with more innocent dialogues. What I am trying to say is, IF they wanted Ruhi to last out, they should have kept the dialogues child-like. and IF they wanted to send out a message about right and wrong, they shouldn't have used a child to do so.

And cat getting the tongue of the elders even Mr. Bhalla baffles me.>> This family does need to discuss the whole incident, not only Ruhi's reaction, but also the events preceding it.

Ruhi jerking Adi's hands could be just a spontaneous reaction to break the chain ...and not so much as her having a problem with Adi and Raman holding hands...She doesn't have great regards for Adi as he has failed miserably as a brother...the vibes from Adi have always been negative...To my mind it was Shagun in Ishima's place that irked her...>> Yes, I wasn't sure if it really meant anything. I hope not 😳

On the contrary if Raman were to hold Adi's and Ishita's hands for the puja, it would be fine with her...she may have just run in to cling to Ishita and would have completed the family...

Or if Simmi or Rinki or even Vandu in place of Shagun I don't think Ruhi would have reacted so...

With Shagun she is always watchful...now that Adi has told her Papa would chose Shagun mama if it comes to that...her insecurities would have sky rocketed.

For the anniversary too...what could have stopped CVs showing Ruhi stopping the cake cutting ...I guess it was just not in the plot...or we read Ruhanika is shooting only weekends now hence her absence and trips to Pammi aunty's ...If Ruhu had objected, Ishita would have reasoned out with her...stating it was for Adi's happiness and she would have obliged...>> See, I thought about this. Maybe Ruhanika wasnt available for the shoot. But it then felt like she doesnt know the whole picture. Yes, and I do agree with you that Ishita would have convinced her, but if that had happened, we wouldnt have seen her last out at Lohri... and I think the CVs planned it (am I making sense?)

Completely agree with you on the drama component...TV is all about that sometimes even the dialogs and the stress on certain words while mouthing dialogs are so so funny...

Just sharing my thoughts...Thanks for the healthy debate😊

Hey Lucky

Totally agree...I just cringed all the time little Ruhi was speaking...the CVs don't have sensibility😡

You've pointed things out very aptly...

👏
