It was really sad that a 6 yr old pitched in to stop the nonsense happening...
Even if they needed this for the sake of emotional drama, they could have toned it down to the level of a kid and her innocence seeing her Ishima out of picture...

I know expecting logic from YHM CVs is like trying to get a thread into a holeless needle!
12 yr old ko plotting and scheming karwaate hai and 6 yr old ko use karte hai to knock sense into her elders!

That said, i liked this dialog from Ruhi about fulfilling every demand of Adi while he doesnt fulfill hers. that came across as a child like complaint from a little daughter like in every family

Thanks Vidya!

Yes, see the last line you said... she was right there...those things I expect from a kid... she has every right to be annoyed at the special treatment her brother is getting. That's just too much for her to bear. But lectures about muhurat, Shagun taking Ishima's place, adults not knowing right from wrong... Those dont look real (or good) coming from a 6-year old

As far CVs n Channel's social responsibility is concerned - I know they have no moral obligations but seriously this show my 7 year old niece watches n she loves Ruhi character especially Ruhi n mutthu scenes. She wud demand my brother to get a cute dog like Mutthu for her. I cant even imagine her trying to emulate Ruhi by throwing that Puja thali for fun or thinking that its ok to take wrong medicine and bully ur parents into doing stuff for u like Adi does.

Its sad. n Its unfortunate that this show airs at around 7.30 prime time when kids r either having dinner or playing around while parents watch this stuff. Yes, this is a good point. It's a time when everyone is up & about watching or listening to what is going on, on TV.

Thanks for your comments Megha 😊

A well-written and well-intentioned post,

BUT,
I agree and disagree with you, my reasons outlined below:
- Ruhi did behave out of innocence and love... any adult would have thought a million times before they created a scene like that.. but Ruhi didn't - all she thought was that something wrong was happening with her Ishima, and this is not the first time Ruhi noticed this - she has been observing since day one , since Adi- Shagun entered the house that something is amiss, she cannot understand all the details since she is a kid, but she has her instinct , and she acted on that -
In your post you say that Ruhi said some things without knowing the facts - BUT THAT's WHAT KIDS DO...😆😆😆
Kids don't ponder over why, when, what, where , how too much, they act on their instinct, Ruhi as a kid, AS A KID< was pushed to a corner, her feelings disregarded by the Bhallas - unintentionally, and she wanted her previous life back, her rights as a kid back...
Also, Ruhi is more understanding than other kids, she had to live a motherless, fatherless existence all her life until Ishita entered her life, according to me, Ruhi could have lost her innocence a long time ago, and started acting more mature , because she could have developed the insecure lonely child instinct - I have to take care of myself as there is no one else... Ruhi did not have a normal childhood like other kids
Thankfully, Ishita rescued her innocence, the child in her by coming to her aid, by understanding her, by becoming her Ishima...AND IS RUHI IS NOT INNOCENT, NO ONE IS...
You also said in your post that Ruhi is not aware of what Shagun is like and who left whom for what reason, but that is untrue...
Ruhi has grown up with JUST THAT ONE FACT IN HER LIFE - that her real mom Shagun left her real dad Raman for some or the other reason. Ruhi can never forget the fact that in doing so, Shagun also did not bother about her...
Even then, don't forget that Ruhi is not judgmental about Shagun and Adi, as IShima has forbidden her to do that, so she cannot understand why they are behaving like this - trying to hurt her Ishima??
My next point:
Ruhi is innocent but she is not stone, she has feelings and instincts, she stayed with Shagun during the custody track, many a times and she always was looking for Ishita, that was her instinct telling her what to do, she can FEEL what Shagun is like, and what Ishita is like - ELSE IT IS NOT EASY TO SEPARATE A KID FROM THEIR REAL MOM FOR A STRANGER _ IS IT ??????
But Ruhi voluntarily opted for Ishita not Shagun...
You stated in your post that Ruhi will not respect her elders when she grows up - this will not happen as long she gets an upbringing with her Ishima, it is these teachings that have helped Ruhi to come this far - TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG, and also when she questions Bhalla family and Raman, it is because she cannot believe that they have just agreed to a wrong - and she cannot believe this because she respects them, SO SHE HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO QUESTION THEM - as they are the elders who she respects and looks upto to do the right...
Again, the CVs have shown the Bhallas as immature, spineless people - what can one do ?😆😆
Also, I don't like the fact that Ruhi had to come to Ishima's rescue but as a kid she will feel better now, imagine how she would have felt if she didn't do anything and watched Raman doing the ritual with Shagun????
The bit of your post that I do agree with is - THAT KIDS SHOULD REMAIN INNOCENT when they are little...
IN THAT CONTEXT - LET"S TALK ABOUT ADI...😉

Hi Thanks for commenting.

About your comments on Ruhi having instincts and feelings. Yes I completely agree. I also think she is quite perceptive for her age, especially because of the circumstances of her life and family. and it is natural (and correct) for her to lash out for her rights. As kids, we also lash out at our parents if we think we are being given lesser importance or love compared to our siblings. So in that way, Ruhi commenting about Aditya is something I don't mind at all. That is how kids do & should react.

The piece that I have a problem with is that she got into the territory where she commented on the dynamics between her parents (Ishita-Shagun-Raman). I think, perceptive or not, she is far too young to make a judgement like that. EVEN if she hates Shagun. In fact, everyone in her life (including Ishita) wanted to protect Ruhi and make sure she didnt grow up hating Shagun. At this age, a child hating a biological parent that much, is a bit too dramatic for me to digest.

About her dynamic with the elders in the family. I did say that they were all wrong. There is no way I am justifying the family members (not just the Bhallas but all of them). They exposed a child to a scenario like this, where the child thinks she has no other option but to rescue Ishita. That is the first mistake!
That, however, doesn't negate the fact that she will always have incidents like this in the back of her mind. The fact that her whole family messed up, AND she had to fix everything. A child having such a thinking could grow into something unhealthy if not kept in check.

All apart, the other fact is that, the CVs showed all adults looking on as if it was natural for a child to say all these things (about the muhurat and all). At some point, they need to talk about this incident and not just be 'grateful' that a 6-year old opened their eyes.

I don't understand the usage of winking emoticons in your last line, but I will say my piece about Adi too. This child is such a complex character, who could have been used properly in the storyline, and he could have really caused a rift in the whole Bhalla family. But no, they had to make that dramatic too. They went too overboard with his evilness, and from the looks of it even the TRP audience didnt like it!

Have read this part in Leo's thread.. I m gonna add some cents here..

Ruhi's interference i didn t appreciate... well yeah.. SOMEONE was needed to take stand for Ishita i knw.. BUT thing she said at the beginning weren't ok for a kid.. dnt knw but this " Ap meri ishima ki jaga nai le sakti" or something like tht.. i m not able to digest .. Frm Ruhi's mouth it becomes awkward for ME.. MY POV ! #Peace

It is not the first time i didn't like it as MANY times in the show they have made Ruhi BIGGER than her age.. Her talks don't seem to be realistic to me anymore.. those words coming out from Ruhi's mouth were WRONG.. !!

Thank u for this separate post ! :)

Thanks Ash 😳 Yes, this is not the first time, but I do hope it is the last...

Oh yes... someone needed to tell that lady off... and I would have even liked it if it was Ruhi, but without such dialogues. If they had kept Ruhi's interference a bit low-key, I would have taken pleasure in watching Shagun's face. But along with showing Shagun her place, I think it ended up looking like a 6-year old was preaching to her own family also I have a feeling that a 6 year old doesnt even understand some of the things Ruhi said.

Thanks for commenting 😊

Thanks for commenting. I respect your opinion.

I just wished that the drama and adult-type dialogues from Ruhi were toned down a lot.

I completely DISAGREE. Ruhi was right all the way. Elders of the house has no brain. Show makers did mokkery of relationship. Exwife is living with present wife ... what the hale. Adi by living with sagun and asok turn into complete criminal. Sagun is a cheep disgusting woman. Toshi ji and mr. Bhlla has problem of ghar ka chirag. Other people with special reference to mihika is bigest hipocrit. She is the curlprit and reason of isra life problems . She is just an idiot. RUHI IS RIGHT CORRECT
