I had moved away from this show and for all the right reasons! In the last week of December I was forced to take a break thanks to my travelling.. Then, I had not known that this break would end up being a blessing for it would help me bring in the necessary detachment. Cos since then, this show has only plummeted down and further down! Everything - just about EVERYTHING this show stood for has been compromised.. And it is beyond sad that a show which in many ways was redefining has been reduced to a joke in just 3 weeks!!!

Sirf Ruhi ke liye was the premise of the wedding of these two flawed characters!! And that's exactly why this show was fresh - Its leads were flawed.. Both had their share of problems, both were imperfect, the other a little more and they both came together to save n nurture a third individual thus completing and complementing each other. There were times when Ishita had to stand up and there were times when Raman had to stand up and deliver... They may have not been right always but they always believed each other enough to know they would do the right thing! And Ruhi - a child of 6 had her insecurities which were taken care of by love, care and proper nurturing. Raman did scream at Ruhi when she insisted on something. Ishita refused Ruhi something as small as a video game. Raman and Ishita fought in front of Ruhi and later decided not to! But they behaved as parents if not husband-wife most time!

The problem with sirf Adi ke liye' though is that there is either logic, nor sense and not even enough need. Yes Adi is also a troubled child - probably more troubled than Ruhi was. Yes Adi is insecure - of losing the only family he has known - his mother. Yes Adi is misguided - something Ruhi wasn't ever. Yes Adi is in need of love, care and proper nurture - exactly like Ruhi.

So what changed now??? Adi is another kid who needed exactly same things that Ruhi did, probably a bit more and probably a little differently cos he's a 12 year old. So yeah, you give him love and you all obviously care for him. But nurture????? Doesn't it involve correcting the wrong and encouraging the right? He was a rebel when he came and he was bound to be. No one expected him to behave all nice and civilised. So he comes and you all forget the basic rules of parenting? And worse, you take objection to the only one trying to be a parent here?

I was very angry at Ishita for the whole anniversary fiasco. It was wrong on many levels but what upset me most was that she was allowing an already troubled kid to live in a delusion and encouraging his unrealistic fantasies. And boy was I glad when Raman stood up as a parent to correct Ishita that night. I felt a little of my lost hope resurfacing. Ishita hasn't been a parent for long so she might have made mistakes by getting carried away, but Raman rose to the occasion to tell her that Adi needed to know and accept the truth cos the delusion would only harm him more in the long run. It was a scene that made me happy as a viewer of this show. And then again, when Raman stood up for Ishita and said she could never knowingly harm a child even as his very predictable mother went about her now-intolerable and highly annoying Ghar ka chirag rant, I felt maybe all is not lost in the show.

Even when they made a complete mockery of tamil traditions by showing some lame non-existent mannat crap, I thought something to show the leads have moved ahead. The promises made by Raman were heart-warming. But followed after was horrifying to say the least. Raman has been impulsive forever. So him screaming at Ishita was no big deal. He always did. But his choice of words was cruel, rude, mean, obnoxious and appalling. Yeah so you wanna scream and get out your frustration go right ahead. But hold on a second. This woman here - you know very well - cannot conceive and you also know how much that hurts and affects her. She has found happiness and a sense of security and completeness in the one thing she is proud of - being Ishima to Ruhi. And in case you have forgotten YOU were the one who kept hoping and praying and wondering why she's not Ishima to Adi too. And in just one second, you hurt her so badly? You hit her where it hurts most? And you don't even realise it??? And you do it again??

Oh but wait!! It's not over yet, is it? You are yet to fall lower!!! You don't tell Adi Ishita will not apologise! You don't tell Ishita you don't need to apologise, you are wondering and asking your dad why Ishita should apologise!!! And to top it all, when you see Ishita ready to apologise, all yoy do is hesitate cos somewhere deep down you are thankful she is doing what is needed to keep your GKC at home!! And then as an afterthought you wonder if what happened was wrong!!!

Oh no wait, there is more!!! You don't apologise to her and then when you try - you do so by getting her earrings???? Like really??? And wow for once I was glad she told him straight what she needed from him. And then the best part - YOU WONDER WHY SHE'S SO ANGRY!!!!!!!!! Yeah like maybe cos you were an insensitive prick!!!

Oh but this is never ending crap isn't it!! After a lame and mundane apology (its upsetting to see a good actor like KP being so disinterested in the scenes - can't blame him, can we? Someone just shoot the damn writers), she says upfront again what upset her and you do nothing and still wonder!!!! Your awesome GKC son calls your wife a neighbour and your parents stand mum. You may not have heard what he said - but you did hear what Shagun said which means you atleast have deducing capabilities and would've known what ur adorable son would have said? Or maybe along with your b***s, your brains have gone on vacation too!!!! Cos nothing else explains why you would allow your wife's self-respect be trampled over again and over!!

Oh but by the looks of it we will have to endure more of your nincompoop-ness some more!!!! What The F***ing Hell is the precap!!!!! Just how low are u willing to fall Raman Bhalla??? And to think you were the one who drew me to this show!!! You were the most realistic of all characters!! You were the one who could make me relate to a TV show after very long!!!! Urrgghhh I'm going on ranting and I can go on and on but really!!!! What are the creatives thinking???

Such a lovely track could have been handled beautifully!!! It started off well with Adi's bed-wetting issues but soon went haywire when they decided Adi was better off scheming than bed wetting.. Aarrgghhh!!!!

But who should I blame? For I continue to watch this and continue to be hopeful of things getting better! Even now the hope is they would atleast salvage some of this nonsense b showing how in trying to handle Adi albeit the wrong way, they have sidelined Ruhi. And they show how Ruhi begins to feel insecure and bring out the original flavour of this show!!! Sigh!!! If only wishes were horses!!!

But then! Umeed pe duniya kaayam hai! So why not!!!!

Ishita needs to speak out, vent and rant. With what CV's have turned RKB into, there is no way he is going to get all of her problems without it being spelled out loud (with probably a punch thrown in midway).
