Awesome post yaar...thanks Vidya! đ¤
CVs have really brought out a nayi soch which is actually cringe worthy and makes me flinch from inside. Adi making plots to demean and hurt Ishita, to make her cry and also assuring Shagun that he would make Ishita go from the family has made him a criminal mind who has started traits of a psychopath. His evil smile seeing Ishita cry has made him a sadist. His pretending to be good and nice to all including Ishita before everyone and then doing the opposite in private has made him a fraud.
His blind belief and becoming a puppet in his mother's hands has made him a fool.
So there is very little in him to be called a kid anymore.
CVs have totally butchered a kid's innocence. I really wish they tone this down.
So agree with what you expressed here .. Especially the part in bold. What shocked me today was the utter coldness with which he said those spiteful words and the look of satisfaction in his demeanor on seeing Ishita's reaction. That was harsh ! Beyond a tween's maturity especially when they showed he hatched this on his own.
Another perception which I know from experience is Adi's bonding with Shagun. Shagun is an insult to motherhood and in fact to womanhood also. She uses and manipulates her son's blind love for her.
For Adi, his mother is the ultimate truth. Whatever she says, be it good or bad, is the truth for him. Actually, thats every child's trait. A child understands and knows the rest of the world through his mother.
Here Adi too never judges or tries to analyze what his mother does. Whatever she says is right for him and the rest of the world which causes distress to his mother is evil and wicked.
Once he comes out of the little bubble that his mother weaves around him, he will be able to see the goodness around. I really wish CVs use Shagun being away and steer the story towards that direction rather than adding more evilness into the child. Atleast give the child to rise from the ruins.
That was my hope with this track that we'll get to see the healing of Adi and his return to mainstream because of the help he'd receive from the Bhallas and ishita ..but the cvs are pushing a lot of stuff to create drama.. But they need to be cognizant of the fact that a 12 year old cannot act like a conniving adult.. His antics have to be more age appropriate .. Playing mind games is very adult behavior even for fictional characters
Coming to Ishita's tears, yes it was indeed cruel of Mihika and Adi. Whatever lectures, mahaanta she does, she didnt deserve to get this. Mihika is like out of focus for me. I dont even understand her anymore. and Adi, he forgets that he is still a kid most of the times, I guess.
Raman-Ishita scene were really heart touching. Raman hoping that Adi will call him papa was really emotional moment. Awesomely played by KP...and as his comforting wife DT was perfect.
It's scenes like these that makes me have faith in the Cvs.. This is the other side of the spectrum when it comes to writing .. Which keeps me hooked to this serial. And then KP and DT make those scenes feel real by the sheer natural feel in thieir portrayal
