CHEEEEEE to the thought process of the inventor of this track

I was someone who came back to the TV duniya after so many years due to the sheer nature of this show. It was fresh, mature, and different, as close to reality as possible and the topmost ... It was sensible.

I had openly vented out and disagreed to the time slot change because I felt that it will end up becoming a scapegoat of the timeslot and boy I was right. Today the frustrated viewer in me wants to vent out the frustration of this track 😡😡.

There were many a times earlier also that we were disappointed from the ongoing tracks. I for a change, did not take all this to heart ... and week after week, though will vent out my frustration in LU ... I was made happy every Wednesday with one brilliant episode after another ... I have made posts to bring positivity to the forum and tried to cheer us all ... and I actually wanted to do it this time as well ... but this track makes me cringe, rather boil in anger and I had to write this piece to clear my mind ...

I have a problem with this entire track. I was all for it when Mani had entered into the scene and the jealousy track was all for fun and frolic and it brought out the possessive side of Raman. It was another step in realization and a cameo was a brilliant move by the CVs.

But the moment, this track went took a serious turn, I immediately knew that this show has been sacrificed at the altar of the time slot. The usual jealousy track, a known MU and then a dramatic confession!

Believe, my addiction to the show would have made me gulp this down as well as a bitter pill. But the butchering of the characters of Raman and especially Ishita definitely make me want to vomit at the moment.

Am a happily married woman and though it does not make me an expert on marriage, I definitely know the ground rules of marriage. The first and foremost amongst those is TRUST. And what Ishita did in this entire track is enough to break the trust of Raman. Even if he did not carry the baggage of Shagun behind him, this track for me is enough for breaking the trust.

I am no writer and no expert but why does Ishita need to talk to Mani when her husband is around? She cannot do that in clinic? A court case cannot be solved in a day so this issue does not need to be sorted out in the middle of night. Who picks up someone's call when you are having a kind of intimate moment with your husband ... the KC fast scene yesterday when she silently wants to thank him ... will Sarika deliver a baby in the next second if Ishita did not pick up the call of Mani ... heck ... it was her first KC . she could see her husband who is rarely expressive was all shy and they were sharing a romantic moment between them, he kept a fast for her ... he does not like Mani ... there is a message in every phone which says ... I will call you later ... she could have cut the call ... ever heard about it woman?? What was the need to change his name to a girl? Raman was only annoyed ... but did he ever stop her from talking to Mani ... She very well knows that her husband comes from a broken marriage where trust was the major factor and yet breaking the trust is something which came to her so naturally? She did not for once think what will her husband think if he finds out the truth and how will he interpret it? This same woman was giving her husband a silent treatment because he had trust issues with her and told him point blank that she does not need a character certificate from him. She is his wife and she does not need to prove anything further. Then why this so annoying step of changing the name of Mani? Raman found about this in a jiffy in the series ... otherwise imagine ... instead of Mani, now she is getting incessant calls from Manisha instead of Mani day and night ... I will blast the CVs if the CEO of the year with a history of adultery cannot figure out this stupid logic.

Mani. The less I say about this character, the better. Why do they want to butcher the fact that a boy and girl cannot be best of friends? Why can't they show that people from opposite genders can be sensible and use their brains while maintaining the friendship pretty well? Mani is shown to be a man in his thirties and a successful businessman. Can he not define the boundary of his relationship with his best friend? Which best friend calls in the middle of night and says sweetheart? If I get a call from my Papa at 1 AM, I will be shocked ... leave alone my best friend. All in all, this entire track was about lying and generating mistrust and sadly cementing the age old beliefs of aunties with prejudices that if a married person is talking, laughing, having coffee and dinner dates with a person from opposite gender, then definitely it is more than friendship ... a big CHEEE to the writers for promoting this track and this thought ...

You know, I was shocked to see all this ... because honestly ... I was immediately taken back to the "Ek Dooje ke Vaaste" sequence when they sit in the auto rikshaw together and Ishita gets a call from her then fiance ... she immediately tells him she is with Raman ... she tells the entire truth to the man she was engaged to ... and when Raman surprisingly confronts her ... she is like ... I do not lie ... That was the soul of YHM ... not this stupidity they are presenting to us.

Pardon me for my rude language, but for, this track butchered and mercilessly raped the character of Ishita and we were given a ghost of her real self ... a normal stupid, brainless, thoughtless, soapy land bahu who is not at the Ishita Bhalla I identified with.

In my opinion, is a jealousy track really required to show progress in their relationship? Why cannot Raman and Ishita fall for each other without the crutches of a third party? Why couldn't they come closer with the help of Ruhi? Why couldn't they open up to each other without this jealousy track all together ... the argument will be less drama ... so I DO NOT agree to it ... They are husband and wife ... the drama can come from so many angles ... life, a forced family outing, a walk in the park, comparison from other happily settled couples and parents, their understanding of each other, they are working so a geographical separation due to a conference, onsite visit ... hell CVs I can give you hundreds of other reasons which show a progression in relationship. But guess, all this is not acceptable in the soapy land of 7:30 when in the previous show, the old fat lady wears a king size bindi on her forehead at 4 AM and gets up all decked up ... nightwear and sans makeup look is forbidden in the sanskari soapy bahu land ...

We got a glimpse of Happy Bhalla ... who is desperate enough for just one clue ... just one clue and is ready to give up all ... what makes me sad is ... Few episodes down the line ... we will have a scene where he will end up drinking (his normal behavior till now) ... and then take out his frustration on Ishita ... And then our heroine will be made Mahaan because she will cry and TRP aunties will be happy ... no one will once, even for a second give a thought that this track actually played with the sensibilities of a man ... trust which was broken ... My mother once told me ... You can repair anything in this world ... but trust once broken cannot be repaired ... it is like a broken piece of glass ... u cannot join it ... Today, for me ... this is what happened ...

Another soul of YHM which was ruined today was Ruhi ... the show was based on the life of Ruhi ... Sirf Ruhi ke Liye ... Ruhi ke liye Ishita had warned Raman on the second day of her marriage .. Raman was ready to forego his post and everything sirf Ruhi ke Liye when his daughter took his test ... Ruhi was the center of this relationship ...

Sirf Ruhi ke Liye was butchered today ... one of the parent shouted on the kid due to his frustration ... and the second one vented out the same thing in her own manner in front of the kid ... Do I need to tell them that how smart a seven year old kid is and how quickly the kid will interpret a problem between her parents? Both of them happily ignored that the kid (Sirf Ruhi ke Liye) was pushed aside mercilessly ... CVs ... you could have at least spared this part ...

I cannot find a single piece of scene which was good, not even the breakdown of Raman because of the sheer senselessness of this track ... the actors were brilliant ... they will deliver what they are presented ... but I urge the people in the forum who have some connection with the CVs/Sonal Jaffer/Ekta Kapoor/Directors/Production House ... I dunno who else ...

I have only one thing to say ... as a viewer ... I have written posts where I have written CVs,Take a BOW. Today, I openly say, I am DISAPPOINTED in your writing and this entire track for absolutely butchering the essence of the protagonist.

As I said earlier, a big CHEEE for ruining this show for me.

Wrote the crux behind the reason of my frustration on page 4 as well ...

Thanks for this thread B. So much needed...If the CVs are listening, pls do give all this a thought.
My exact thoughts yaar. If the J track was just for fun, then I was ok but then the moment, it took a dangerous turn, it was all lost for me. You know what? its always done this way and our hearts are broken. The beautiful KC sequence was just ruined by inserting all those MU scenes.

Even if Ishita is doing all this for Raman's sake, even then this is called cheating your spouse and the sensible, sensitive, smart Ishita whom I loved and related to would never do that. Why cant she make him understand in simple terms? what is the need to hide it? And changing name to Manisha? heights of stupidity!
Hadnt she once lectured Raman for hiding things from her? Well what is she doing now? And i really wonder how female characters are shown so timid and stubborn to hide things on the pretext of doing good to the family and her husband. Mera toh paet mein ek baat nahi tikti...I feel suffocated even if I think about hiding.

Raman has already been a victim of betrayal of trust and is Ishita so dumb and insensitive to ignore such a possibility? Why is she acting ignorant and like a dumbo even when she notes that Raman is getting all flared up seeing her closeness to Mani?

Yes Mani is a best friend, agreed but then no married woman or no woman who is already committed to someone else would be so dependent on him. And now she acts as if she cant live without him and his favors. arre itne saal kaise jiya tumne Ishita?

Hugging him, talking to him at odd hours, and the heights was talking to him when her husband and daughter are waiting for breakfast.
Wasnt she the one taking utmost care to see to that Ruhi was kept away from the problems between herself and Raman? What happened now? Mani ke saat woh sab bhi bhool gayi kya?
I just dont understand this whole Sarika -Romi issue? Just Ishita and Mani are concerned about it. And they act as if they are going to solve it over night. I didnt know that court cases solve just like that.

As I said earlier in some thread, Mani seems like a genie who can snap his fingers and get things done for her.
Anyways, Mani isnt important to me at all. The character "Ishita Bhalla" has been butchered totally and today it has been officially cremated and laid to rest!

Any husband would suspect and also be driven to the extreme situation of thinking about separation if he gets to see all this. The pain that Raman is going through is enough to give him a heart attack. This is too much to handle even if for a fictional serial.
If this is what will heal Raman from his past, then all I can say is that no man deserves such a therapy. I wonder what healing will this do. He was already over his past and was trying to move ahead. He already trusted Ishita more than himself. He already was in love with her. What remained was just taking that one step ahead. That would have happened gradually maintaining the very essence of YHM. That very magical essence which also included Ruhi, with which I had fallen in love.

But now, all those steps that they took together in this marriage for Ruhi have fallen apart and they have shattered even the understanding, trust and respect which were already present. It has gone to a place which is even worse than where they started from.

Doubts in a relationship are like cracks in a glass. Glass once broken can be stuck together but the cracks remain forever. I agree that Raman has to trust Ishita more but this Mani jhaap track is ridiculous and this is not the way to heal or get Raman to progress in his relationship!

This no longer Yeh hai mohabatein but a show which is led and dragged by a sequence of misunderstandings.

At the end of this, I know mahaan Ishita will lecture about trust and Raman will repent and feel guilty about mistaking her but then it makes absolutely no sense to me.
YHM was all about close to realism, practicality and originality but that flavor and charm is all lost with the demands of this slot!
Nothing makes sense to me now! Such a disappointing turn in the story!

Even the title song makes no sense now.
"Kabhi kam na honge hai chaahatein...pal pal bade yeh mohabatein"
What the hell is happening now? havent the mohabat and chaahat gone to zero now?

Bhanu relax first of all I know this track is not an easy one to digest but then how could it be? Its a show that is dealing with a very sensitive issue that of infidelity especially one committed by a woman - a taboo in our society to even discuss. Now I am single you know this maybe that is why I am calmer when I see things, I have no experience of a romatic relationship since I havent yet found someone I could connect with.

Having said that I understand your anger, your frustration and yes your disgust at letting Ruhi watch somewhat of an ugly scenario between her parents but the thing is its a sad reality - kids watch UGLIER things than these in some homes where a father not just verbally - but physically even sexually assaults his wife day in and day out in front of them. Yes Ruhi got her parents when IshRa married but that doesnt mean she will always see rainbows and sunshines, every child watches something that they dont like between their parents at some point.

I am not trying to justify the cvs but only saying this was a real thing and maybe, just maybe they will be reprimanded for this by Sr.Bhalla who intervened and took Ruhi away.

Call me delusional/hopeful but I am still very much interested in this track - I wanna see where this is headed cos clearly what happened today was exactly what I imagined - past wounds were revisited, reopened and a man was ripped raw, he will BLEED tommorow even more. I am not saying anyone deserves this - no one does. But I wanna see the culmination of this track before accusing the CVs...to me this is something I have awaited.

Yes Raman Bhalla emerged from the ashes of Happy Bhalla and became RKB. He conquered the world, he made a place for himself and he showed his mettle to everyone who laughed at him. He proved himself - his capabilities the thing he was shunned and dumped for.

He got revenge but did he achieve healing in the process? The answer is NO.

Cause RKB was not the injured man here - he was the byproduct of that man who was ditched and duped. He was the enigma that emerged from it - he was Raavan Kumar.

Tonight when Shagun mocked him again she taunted HAPPY not RKB and that is the part of him that will finally, finally come out of his shell, he would be the one who would cry his heart out and ask - what makes me unlovable? Why me? What is so wrong with me that I deserve this?

The answer that would finally heal him is the one that he has been awaiting - that he never was at fault, he was never ever unlovable...cos he is loved.

Sometimes to heal you have to endure pain...All I can say is that this whole thing reminds me of a quote which sums up everything in perfect words as per me

"The emotion that can break your heart is sometimes the very one that heals it..."

Tonight you are angry and I am not against that, I wanna say dont write things off just yet. Wait and watch, yes its gonna be hard and tough - but then all things worthwhile are. 😳

Ishita lost a supporter from me,only a genuine apology can get me back.I was ok with friendship until now but the amount of dumbness i can't take it.She is ridiculous as hell.
What the heck did they even do by meeting outside? chatting in car and that's it,can't they discuss it on phone?
None is worried about romis case including romi himself expect ishita and mani.y ??

Great post.👏.and my thoughts exactly .. about the unnecessary track and the butchering of Ishita's character.
I am all for a dramatic confession. ..yes it's cliche ..but heck who cares..but a third wheel and then putting a man through his life's worst nightmare ..just for the sake of heightening drama is plain cruel.there were so many other ways to have reached an emotional climax. ..which would have been more believable.
And Ishita's character..guess enough has been said. ..a woman who could sense Ruhi's pain...due to her dil ka rishta. ...today couldn't make out the reason for her husbands wet pillows🤢.

My biggest fear is the culmination of this track...it would be sickening. .to say the least...if we are made to witness a guilty ., apologetic raman...who doubted the pavitrata of his wife...and then to further rub salt., he is lectured about it and his anger. .ego..etc by the mahaanta couple...Ishita and mani...that would officially kill the entire track for me...

Only silver lining..the performances. .they have kept me watching till now. ...its ironical though that the writers have such great performers and they choose to go with such a track..shame really.🥱

Today was the first time I saw this show at 7:30 ... I want to thank my stars and my strong heart that am not admitted in a hospital ...

I apologize if my dry humor leaves a bad taste in your mouth but am actually pissed out from the show right now ... I don't think so even a joint venture of Russel Peters and Kapil Sharma can make me smile ...

Hey good Post, m not gonna lament over what Ishita is doing or how Raman is coming across as stupid in this whole reform Raman track (googling to woo his wife). Done lots already, just expecting a good ending where they justify both Raman n Ishita's character well. Hopefully CV's will not disappoint us, although chances of them showing Ishita retrospecting her actions and regretting them is less considering TRP audience 😳
