I totally agree with you.I am not a fan of jealousy tracks either because it ends dramatically if melodrama somehow seems impossible. But I did want to see the possessive, jealous Raman. I had fun watching a few scenes. The dose of jealousy they gave at times when Ishita and Mani get over friendly was nice. The writers didn't concentrate completely on showing Raman jealous and that made me happy. We had some really good scenes in between and all was fine.
Yet all this was at the expense of showing Ishita as a, excuse my language, bimbo. Worse than Shagun, at that. When you meet a friend after a long time, you do get excited but you don't ignore your routine for the friend. This is not even about the gender of the friend. I am still in college which gives me time o go out and meet my friends. Yet, I wouldn't do that every single day like Ishita who is a working woman. She has to take care of a huge family.
And Mani calling up so late is ridiculous. If he actually wants to make sure that Ishita is asleep he could have texted her. Forget appropriateness, won't the rest of the family wake up due to the ringtone in an otherwise quite house?
The trust issue could have been handled much better. Just think of it, the entire Romi-Sarika angle just to build up to Raman doubting Ishita and Mani? Who does that? The entire point of Romi-Sarika is forgotten and focus is on this. Then why to bring it up in the first place? So, so disappointing. Like you, I blame the slot too partly. The writers better buck up.
