Part One : Ishra's discussion after
Mimi's tilak ceremony !
After the tilak ceremony, Raman goes to his room to get some work done as both him and mihir haven't been to the office that day. Ishita is in the living room, with toshiji. She can see the light coming from her room and she doesn't want to go sleep until Raman is already asleep. She is glad that Mihir revealed his sister's identity because now he has the whole Iyer clan on his side but she knows that Ravaan Kumar will shout at her for going behind his back and against his decision. She is afraid of his reaction. She has planned to apologize but she will do it in the morning as right now, she doesn't want to argue because it will spoil the celebrations mood.
Suddenly, the light is turned off in her room and after some time she figures Raman would have fallen asleep so she goes into the room. She tries her best not to make any sound because she doesn't want to wake up Raman. She peeps towards Raman but he seems to be sleeping already. She is happy that her plan is working so far. Unfortunately she knocks her leg into the table and screams "ouch!"
Raman wakes up. Ishita hits her head with the palm of her hand, as she knows that now he will give her double lecture : one for forcing mihir into revealing his sister's identity and one for waking him up... She gather up her courage to hear his taunts.
Raman : "Ishita? Are you okay? Kui chhot nahi lagi na?"
Ishita is shocked hearing this. Why is Raman not shouting at her? Is he being concerned about her? What is going on?
Ishita : "... Err... I'm okay, don't worry. Aap sauh jaye. Good night." She goes quickly to her couch and wants to fall asleep as fast as possible.
Raman : "Wait Ishita..."
Ishita cringes as she knows that now, nothing will save her. The argument is about to get started.
Raman : "Since we're both awake, I wanted to discuss something with you... about what happened today. I wanted to tell you..."
Ishita says very quickly: "Raman, I'm really sorry. I know you angry at me and I shouldn't have done what I did but right now I'm just really tired so please let's not argue. Jitna gussa karna hai, please subha karle na, abhi let's just sleep." Ishita tries to get quickly under the covers.
Raman : "Will you let me talk!" he turns on the light and sits up. Ishita pouts and sits back up.
Ishita annoyed: "Haa. Bolo."
Raman : "I just wanted to thank you for what you did." Ishita is totally shocked to hear this.
Raman : "I've been trying to push Mihir to let go of his past from several months now. I told him that since he was starting a new life with his wedding, he should take it as an opportunity of letting go everything that was anchoring him down. But I guess I couldn't found the right words because he never took my advice."
Ishita is listening silently, she doesn't know where this is going and she is surprised that Raman is not actually angry.
Raman : "I should thank Shagun too, with all this machiavellian plan, she pushed us all to look at the truth in the eye and it ended for the better." He turns down the light and lies back down.
Ishita is smiling, happy to know that things aren't going to get worse between Raman and her and that he isn't mad at her.
Ishita : "Raman?"
Raman : "Yes?"
Ishita : "I wanted to apologize for believing Sanjana over you. You told me you didn't know her but I thought you lied to me. Her story seemed so realistic, and she had a picture from her childhood with mihir on it... It all made senses to me. I just... I don't know, I got fooled..."
Raman sits back up : "Uski story ko realistic lagna hi ta, wo jo sahi hi thi : Mihir broke his relationship with his sister after my relation with her ended. But Sanjana wasn't the sister, Shagun was. And I wasn't the one to blame, Shagun was." He smiles bitterly.
Ishita saddened : "Yes, I know that now."
Raman : "Waise ek baat mene tumse poochni thi..."
Ishita : "haa raman?"
Raman : "did you really think I had an affair with a girl like sanjana? Did you look at her? She is barely a woman now, she would have been a kid back then!"
Ishita ashamed of herself : "Some women look younger than what they actually are!! I didn't think too much about that."
Raman : "that's why I keep saying your screw is loose! Pagal aurat!"
Ishita : "Mein pagal? How dare you ?! Everything is not my fault alone! If you had told me everything about your past relationships, then I wouldn't go around making assumptions. You are to blame too! I told you everything about my past, but you didn't..."
Raman : "ARRE MERI MAA! Sab kuch to mene batadiya hai! I have nothing more to say!"
Ishita : "sab kuch matlaab? I only know about two of your relationship : one with shagun, and one with me."
Raman : "exactly what I'm saying. You know everything. There is no one else. Who do you think I am ? A womanizer or some sort of leecher? Bewakoof aurat!" He fumbles around and lies back down.
Ishita blushes at what he told her. To herself :"Ravan Kumar is not what I thought he was... Sajjan Kumar!" She goes to sleep with a smile on her face and a lightened heart.
