i was also expecting raman to yell at ishita for interfering 😕 and causing tamasha at the tilak ceremony. i'm surprised that ppl still come to any of the bhalla ceremonies. kuch na kuch natak zaroor hota hai (not to mention toshiji calling pregnant ladies fat) 😆

Part 2 : Ishita's new assistant!

"Ouch !" Ishita screams as she is preparing the breakfast in the morning. She was thinking about her handsome husband and their last conversation when she put her hand on the hot pan.

Toshi : "Ishita puttar? What happened?"

Ishita, almost crying : "Mummy jee... I burnt my hand with the pan... It hurts! Ayo..."

Toshi : "Neelu, bring me the balm quick! Tum bhi na Ishita ! Kaam ko dheyan se karna chaiye ! Tera dimaag kahan rehta hai ?"

Raman just entering the living room : "Isse kya pooch rahe ho mummy jee...? Uska to dimaag hi nahi hai!" Ishita pouts at his taunt.

Toshi : "Chup kar! Meri bahu hai, jo mein chhati hoon keh sakti hoon magar khabhardaar agar tumne meri bahu ko kuch bhi galat kaha!"

Raman laughs and sits down to take his breakfast.

After they apply balm and put bandages, Ishita sits next to Raman and looks at her hand. "ayoo mein istaraa kaam nahi kar sakunghi! I have patients to attend and I can't do it with bandage on my hand ! What will I do?"

Raman hearing that, stands up, gulps down his tchai, wipes his mouth and put on his vest.

Ishita : "Raman ? Kya hogaya hai aapko? Tchai arahm se pilhe te... Itni jaldi kyon ? "

Raman : " I'm getting out of here before you ask me to be your assistant once again. Last time was enough for a life time! Bye!" He takes the news paper and gets out quickly.

Ishita pouts : "Ravan Kumaar!! Ek baar mene usse help maanghi thi aur abhi bhi taunts mar jah-rahe hai! I don't need him! I can manage on my own!"

Toshi laughs at her DIL little tantrums.

Ishita goes at the clinic, still wondering how she will manage her appointments of the day. She sits at her desk looking at the list of patients, discouraged. She is feeling really bad about cancelling the appointments.

Sarika enters her office, followed by a man: "Maam good morning. Dr Sampal asked me to introduce to you his nephew Vyann. He has finished his dentistry course and will assist all the doctors in this clinic one by one to learn from all and improve his practical skills."

Ishita jumps up from her chair: "This is fantastic ! thank you Murugan!" Sarika and Vyann look at each other, wondering what is going on.

Ishita : "Nice to meet you, Vyann. I'm Doctor Ishita Kumar Bhalla. As you can see, my hand is not functional right now and I'm in deep need of an assistant. If you're okay with it, this first week you will assist me. I'll try my best to teach you everything I can."

Vyann : "Thank you Ma'am."

Ishita : "Don't call me Ma'am please, we're colleagues now and I'm barely older than you. You can call me Ishita."

Vyann : "Alright, Ishita." They both smile at each other, happy to be working together.

At his office, Raman thinks about Ishita.

Raman : "this pagal madrasan, I hope her hand doesn't hurt too much... She was probably day dreaming again while cooking. What if she needs help for a surgery? She will feel really bad if she has to cancel a patient appointment, especially if it's a child who's hurting. I should call her to see if everything is going well." He dials her number.

Ishita : "Hello?"

Raman : "Haa Ishita. It's me."

Ishita : "Haa bolo?"

Raman : "I called to see if everything is alright. I mean with your hand. I've been thinking... if you need me to help you out for a few days, I can..."

Ishita pompously : "No thank you Raman. See, I'm an independent woman and I can manage everything on my own. I don't need your help. And even if I did, I wouldn't take your help because you'd taunt me for a lifetime afterward."

Raman : "Don't be stubborn now. If you need me, just tell me."

Ishita still pompous: "As I just said. I don't need you. I've found an assistant ready to help me out. We're good here."

Raman : "Well perfect then." And he hangs up.

Ishita laughs. "Now I've taught him a good lesson! Who does he think he is? I can totally manage without HIS help!" Afterwards she gets senti : "Waise... it was nice of him to call me, he won't say it but he cares about me! Ram kumar..."

At night Raman enters his room and sees Ishita struggling with her bandage.

Raman : "Oh hello madrasan. What are you doing?"

Ishita : "my skin itches a lot under the bandage so I want to take it off and put a new one. But I can't do it with one hand."

Raman : "Haa I see... Keep trying then ! Good luck!" and he goes to lie down.

Ishita : "Wait?! Are you not going to help me?"

Raman : "what did you say earlier... Haa .. (he mimics her talking) "I don't need youuu ... I can manage... I'm independent..." Well, show me then!"

Ishita pouts : "That's not fair... You're so rude. You never know when to stop the taunts... So rude!"

Raman looks at her making her cute pouting face and decides to help her. He gets up and goes to sit next by her on the couch.

Raman : "Alright Jhansi ki Rani. Show me."

Ishita still annoyed: "No. I'm good."

Raman takes her hand : "Itna zidd nahi karo to aacha ho ga... (he mimics her again) "I'm guud."... Bewakoof aurat." He starts taking care of her bandage and puts his whole focus on it.

Ishita looks at him lovingly.

Raman : "Oh by the way... how is this new assistant of yours? Is she any good?"

Ishita gets back to her senses "Haa.. He is good. He works very meticulously. I like that."

Raman looks at her intensely. "He?"

Ishita : "Haa. Vyann. He is Dr Sampal's nephew. He came into the clinic today to ameliorate his practical skills. Thank god he was there, otherwise I would have had to cancel all the appointments I had for today." Ishita thanks the sky. Raman looks at her. He let her scratch her hand and put a new bandage on it. He is a bit quiet suddenly.

Ishita : "Enough about me. How was your day?"

Raman : "Good." Raman puts everything back in the little emergency box and goes to sleep without saying another word. Ishita wonders what got into him as she lies to sleep.
