PART 7 : Ishita describes her crush to Raman.

PREVIOUSLY : Right at this moment, Ishita enters the office with her husband's tiffen. She sees him with a young girl, eating together in the same tiffen already, they are both smiling at each other.

Raman hears something fall on the floor. He looks towards the door and sees ishita standing there, he looks then at her feet and he sees the tiffen on the floor. He looks back up at her face and everything stops for a moment. A happy man is a man that can read his wife's face and in this moment, Raman can perfectly read what Ishita's expression is telling him : she is angry, she is disgusted, but more importantly, she is sad.

At this precise moment, Raman forgets everything about his jealousy for Vyann and his plan, all he knows is that he shouldn't have ever put Ishita in this situation. He shouldn't have tried to hurt her, not even to get back at her. When he sees Ishita standing still, deeply hurt inside, he can't help but think that hiring a secretary for the only purpose to make her jealous was the stupidest idea he ever got.

He gets up, looks at Sumaan and tells her to take a leave. Sumaan doesn't say anything as they agreed on it earlier and leave.

Ishita is still not saying a word and that is making Raman anxious. She gets down to take the tiffen, and goes to put it on his desk. Then only, she looks at him in the eyes and says : "If you're still hungry, eat it. If not, just throw it in the bin then."

She starts to leave but Raman holds her back by the arm : "Wait Ishita." He is speaking calmly, trying to recollect his own thoughts at the same time.

Ishita, angry: "What now, Raman?!"

Raman : "Why are you being so angry?!"

Ishita taking a deep breath : "You know Raman,... you've been ruder than usual and you've lashed out on me more than is acceptable but I still stayed patient with you because I thought you were stressed about Mihir and Mihika's wedding preparation but now I have my answer... You've been acting weird because you were having... an affair? Chee Raman!!"

Raman thinks to himself "an affair? Doesn't she know already that I'm not that type of man...?"

Raman chuckling: "... Wait... Aren't you being jealous here Ishita?"

Ishita : "Jealous?! No, I am NOT jealous Raman! I'm disgusted at you! You have no respect for me or for our relationship. Maana hai hamare bich mein wo rishta nahi hai magar mein aapki Patni hoon! You have no right to cheat on me! You owe me fidelity!"

Raman likes to see his JKR being mad. He wants to laugh but is trying not to : "Ishita. Listen, it's not what you think."

Ishita : "Oh please. Don't pretend like you care about what I may or may not think. I came here to bring you your tiffen, now I'll go back at the clinic. I'll let you enjoy your lunch with your little ... assistant."

Raman doesn't let go of her arm so Ishita can't leave : "I told you it's not like that ! I'm not interested in her!"

Ishita getting angrier by the minute. "Oh really? You're not interested? I thought she was just your type!"

Raman : "My type? What do you know about my type, Ishita?"

Ishita sarcastically : "Actually, you're right. I'm Sorry. I don't know anything about your type. I've been living with you for 6 months now but I still don't know what type of women you like. Would you care to enlighten me then, and describe it to me?"

Raman wasn't expecting this question. He let go of her arm and walks back at his desk. "What kind of question is that?"

Ishita is now eager to know about his type. She knows that he doesn't like HER but maybe if he told her what his type is , she could have a clue about what she is doing wrong. "It's just a question. Why don't you answer it ?" She was standing at the door but now she walks toward his desk too.

Raman doesn't know about his type. All his brain is telling him is that he likes JKR, but of course he can't tell her that to her face so he's trying to buy some time : "What's YOUR type?" he asks her, fidgeting with some furniture on his desk, his eyes not meeting hers.

Ishita is now the one to be at loss. "I was asking YOU! Don't return the question on me !"

Raman looks at her, being stubborn : "If you answer it, then I'll answer it right after you. But you go first."

Ishita feels he is being shaddy, she squints her eyes at him. Raman makes an innocent expression meaning that he's not playing games and that of course he'll answer her. Ishita decides to go for it. She pictures Raman in her head.

Ishita : "My type... Well then... Contrary to your belief Raman, I don't care about the height. I used to like sensitive men but now I prefer them being passionate." She looks at Raman, but he is not taking the hint yet. "Also... I love men with dimples. It's just so cute."

Vyann's face flashes in front of Raman's eyes :Vyann has dimples! Is she describing Vyann right now? He wants to be sure : "What else?"

Ishita, blushing, continues : "What attracts me the most to a man it's his love for his family." Ishita is looking at Raman, inquisitively, hoping that he is getting a clue.

Raman thinks that he doesn't know if Vyann fits this criteria ... He is annoyed because he still can't be sure that Ishita is talking about Vyann or not.

Raman to Ishita, angry : "Well why are you stopping? Go on!"

Ishita, sighs in frustration but she continues : "... What else... I like men with big innocent hearts... Also I like men who wear suits, because..." Ishita pauses and blushes, she avoids raman's eyes and adds: "... they look hot in them...Here that's all I got" She takes a deep breath, happy that she could let all of that out without melting into a puddle of water on the floor.

Now she is sure Raman knows she is talking about him. She finally looks up at him, waiting for his realization but instead of seeing a flattered Ram Kumar, she sees a really angry looking Ravaan.

Ishita : "Raman... what's wrong?"

Raman : "Big heart and nice suits?! What type of description is that? It has no head no tail, how am I supposed to know if you're talking about Vyann or not?"

Ishita is dumbfounded : "Vyann?! What has Vyann got anything to do with this Raman? "

CLIFFHANGER TIME GUYS !!

Okay that's a bit mean😛 to leave you like that in the middle of the conversation, but to make you feel better : i'm already writing part 8 ! So it'll be upload by tonight. IT WILL BE THE LAST PART : CONFESSION !

FINAL PART 8 : CONFRONTATION AND CONFESSION

PREVIOUSLY :

Raman : "Big heart and nice suits?! What type of description is that? It has no head no tails, how am I supposed to know if you're talking about Vyann or not?"

Ishita is dumbfounded : "Vyann?! What has Vyann got anything to do with this Raman? "

Raman : "Nothing."

Ishita : "What do you mean "nothing"? Answer me Raman, where is this Vyann nonsense coming from?"

Raman : "I should ask YOU this question!"

Ishita : "For heaven's sake will you stop turning all of the questions on me and just answer them for once?"

Raman : "Don't play innocent with me Ishita! You've spent the week melting over your new little assistant !"

Ishita : "... What?!"

Raman : "I heard you talking to Vandita! And even mihika! -he mimics her- "Vyann is so AMAZIIING, I'm so happy to have him with me" ; "Aww Vyann don't call me maam" ; "Vyann is so hot!" ... You should be ashamed of yourself!"

Ishita : "I should be ashamed? What about you ! You just admitted you were spying on me all week?!"

Raman : "I was not SPYING on you okay? We live together so I'm bound to hear what you say. Your voice is so loud anyway... And don't try to change the subject! Take responsibility for saying these things!"

Ishita : "Raman are you even sure I said of all these things?"

Raman : "Well I'm not inventing them here, am i?"

Ishita : "First of all, I think you are exaggerating everything, Second of all they are taken out of context, thirdly Raman you need to get that in your head that I'm not interested in Vyann."

Raman : "Why wouldn't you be ?! He's cut... I mean he's not that bad looking and he's a tooth puller just like you..."

Ishita : "Wait... Are you saying that you SAW him?"

Raman bites his tongue, in his anger he just let his secret out : he went to the clinic to jaga jasoos on his wife...

Ishita seems to be thinking about a time were raman could have gone to the clinic : it's definitely not when she was there or else she would have seen him, so it must be when she weren't there... Then she recalls the story Vyann told her about an angry short man coming at him and she puts the pieces together :

Ishita : "Raman... don't tell me you were the one who shouted at Vyann 2 days ago?"

Raman pinches his lips.

Ishita's doubt is confirmed : "Raman. I can't believe this ! You tell me every day that I'm a Jaga jasoos meanwhile you went at my clinic to SPY on my assistant? What is wrong with you ?!"

Raman is trying to get out of this mess: "Yeah I went to your clinic. It's not that much of a big deal. I just wanted to check if Vyann was a good person. You are my wife and I want to be sure you're working in a safe environment."

Ishita : "Stop Lying Raman. You're ridiculous!"

Raman is angry now: "Kahan se kahan yeh baat ja rahi hai ! Thing is, you have a crush on your assistant and you should be ashamed of yourself ! It's just like you said : we are married so keep it in mind that you can't cheat on me!"

As the words "cheat on me" falls out of Raman's mouth, ishita sees a genuine rage in his eyes. His past with Shagun is coming to haunt him. Ishita can't see him being hurt so she decides not to argue anymore and to clear things out.

Ishita : "Raman listen to me, I'm going to say this once for all : I am NOT - absolutely not - interested in Vyann ! For god's sake Raman! Did you look at him? He's just a kid to me !"

Raman doesn't seem convinced as Vyann is only a few years younger than Ishita. Ishita sees the doubt lingering in his eyes so she tries to explain again.

Ishita : "Look Raman it's like you said you weren't interested in Sanjana earlier this week... Remember?"

At the mention of Sanjana's name, Raman remembers how silly he thought ishita was being when she admitted being jealous of Sanjana. Now he understands that he is being just as silly and he realizes that he took this Vyann matter too far.

Ishita sees the change in his face and feels relieved to see that he believes her. She smiles gently at him.

But then raman thinks about ishita's description of her crush, and he asks her : "So that means... the description of your "ideal man" you gave me earlier... it wasn't Vyann then?"

Ishita : "Of course it was NOT Vyann!"

Ishita blushes slightly at the mention of her description.

Raman notices it so he asks : "And... is there someone that fits this description ?"

Ishita is glad that Raman is getting a clue : "Yes! Yes, there is !"

Raman gets a bit surprised at her sudden enthusiasm. Ishita realizes she is getting a bit too excited so she tones it done with : "I mean, of course I am actually describing someone! I'm not blowing hot air!"

Raman : "are you telling me you're in love with someone in particular?"

Ishita's excitement is growing by the minute but she tries to not give it out: "yes, that's what I said."

She thinks to herself : "Raman is about to realize my feelings for him!" She blushes heavily at the thought. She looks at her hands, not able to look at him in the eyes.

Suddenly she hears Raman hitting his palm on his desk. She lifts her eyes to him and she sees that he's in rage.

Raman, coldly : "You're in love with someone uh? That's sweet... Too bad you're stuck in a marriage with me then..."

Ishita realizes that he is being mistaken again, she tries to explain to him : "No Raman wait, I meant that..." But raman doesn't let her finish.

Raman, still cold as ice : "Well I shouldn't blame you... Because I'm in love with someone too."

Ishita who was trying to clear things up, freezes at these words. "Raman... in love?" she thinks. Her brains stop working. She hears the sound of her heart breaking. She doesn't want to cry in front of him so she says, with a high pitched voice and not looking at him : "Good for you. I'm going back at the clinic now. Bohot dair ho gayi hai."

Raman is faster than her so he reached the door first. He is blocking her way out.

Raman is being a bit sadist, his anger knowing that Ishita is in love with someone else makes him blind to anything else: "Don't you want to know who I am talking about?"

Ishita : "No, I don't want to know. Let me go."

Raman : "oh yes you want to ! You were asking me to describe the person I like earlier right?"

Raman walks toward ishita so she backs away from the door.

Raman continues "So here you go... The person I'm in love with... she doesn't know how to dress herself up properly but it doesn't matter because she is the most beautiful woman on earth. She argues a lot but it's always because she wants the right thing to be done. She has enough love in her heart for the whole world." Raman's voice fades away as he is getting emotional. "She makes my life worth living. She... is everything to me." Ishita flinches at these words

Ishita, with a stern voice : "... Who is this then?" She knows she shouldn't ask because it would only break her heart further but she just can't help it.

Raman recomposing himself : "Ah that... I am NOT telling you !"

Ishita says : "It's enough Raman".

She decides that it's time to leave, this time raman doesn't try to block her way. As her hand is about to reach the doorknob, she hears raman's voice.

Raman : "It's you."

Ishita freezes.

Raman gets closer to her, he is standing right behind her. She can feel his breath on her neck.

Raman repeats : "It's you." as he brushes her arms with the tips of his fingers. Ishita shivers under his touch.

Raman's hands land on her waist and as he rests his forehead on her shoulder; he whispers "You are everything to me."

Raman could have kept quiet and never told Ishita he was in love with her, but the image of her leaving his office, looked like as if she had decided to walk out on him forever. He couldn't stop himself then, he had to let her know before she left.

Ishita starts sobbing. Raman lift his head from her shoulder and turns her around to make her face him.

Raman : "Ishita? Wh- why are you crying?"

Ishita answers in a halting voice as she is still sobbing : "Bec- because... i.. hilobyu"

Raman doesn't understand and starts to get worried seeing her like that : "What are you saying Ishita? I don't understand!"

Ishita takes a deep breath to stop the sobbing and lets it finally out : " I LOVE YOU Raman! I said I love you!"

Raman freezes hearing the words. He can't believe it. He stumbles a bit and take a step back but ishita reaches out to him and hugs him tightly. Raman is still in shock and doesn't hug her back yet.

Ishita repeats : "I love you Raman."

Only then Raman is able to take in the words, tears fill up his eyes and a big innocent smile appears on his face, he hugs back ishita as tightly as he can, telling her "I love you too Ishita, I love you!".

They stay in this position a few minutes, holding onto each other as if the world would disappear if they'd let go, then Raman's stomach growls. Ishita looks at him.

Ishita : "raman you are hungry?"

Raman : "Well of course I am! I told you I didn't have my tiffen with me!"

Ishita : "But when I came in you were eating, with that girl, weren't you?"

Raman embarrassed : "Yeah... No... That's a long story... In fact I was..."

Right then, Ishita's stomach growls too, Raman is glad to hear that so he doesn't have to explain the whole Sumaan thing right now. He will tell her eventually, but not right now.

Raman : "You're hungry too?"

Ishita nods.

Raman : "Well it's my fault isn't it? I stole your lunch break..."

They both look at the tiffen, then at each other, smiling. Raman reaches at the door, locks it, then comes back at Ishita, takes her by the hand and led her behind his desk, they sit and start to share the tiffen, it's a bit messy since it fell on the floor but they are so happy to share a lunch together that they don't mind it.

Ishita is feeling both very shy and happy to be sharing the same tiffen with her husband. She eats very slowly. Raman notices it.

Raman : "What are you doing? Eat more!"

Ishita nods yes but she doesn't really do anything to eat faster. Raman says : "That won't do Ishita. I guess I'll have to feed you myself."

Ishita blushes and feels embarrassed : "No that's okay Raman. I'm eating don't worry."

Raman : "Shush! Don't be stubborn. Here, open your mouth."

Ishita takes the bit from his hand. They both look at each other, knowing this is the beginning of something new.

Raman can't help himself but tease his Ishita : "By the way Ishita... what were you telling earlier?"

Ishita : "uh?"

Raman : "the man you like is more passionate than sensitive? And he looks hot in suits uh?" He smirks at her and then raises his eyebrows expecting an answer.

Ishita, composed : "I might have told that indeed... I don't quite remember..."

Raman chuckles, thinking he is being smart.

Ishita continues : "Now that I think of it, what were YOU saying? The woman you love, she is... - she pretends to think about it- oh I remember! The MOST BEAUTIFUL women there is. You said that right?"

Raman laughs as his little jokes is back firing on him. He is about to speak when Ishita shoves a bite in his mouth.

Ishita : "Let's talk less and eat more, shall we?" They both smile at each other.

Once they are done eating, Ishita says she should get back at the clinic now.

Raman opens the door for her but ishita is hesitant to leave.

Raman : "Is there something wrong ?"

Ishita : "No... It's just that... Forget it, I'll tell you tonight at ... home."

Raman feels a bit anxious : "Tell me now Ishita. What is it?" Raman shuts back the door.

Ishita takes a deep breath. : "Okay... Hmm. I told you earlier I thought you were being stressed about Mihir and Mihika's wedding, right?"

Raman : "... yes?"

Ishita blushes : "... I thought it could do you some good to take a little break from everything, you know... So I booked something for... the two of us. Nothing huge though. Just a few days away from the house."

Raman is surprised : "You booked a trip for us? Really?"

Ishita nods, embarrassed. "I was planning to let you know, but you've been so angry all this week long, i didn't get the chance..."

Raman decides to tease her a bit : " That's surprising..."

He gets closer to her and brushes his finger on her cheek :"Say Ishita... Were you planning on romancing me on this trip?"

Ishita pushes his finger away, faking anger : "Get over yourself Ravaan Kumar! And it's not THAT surprising ! We're in the 21th century, it's not always men who are forward!"

She smiles knowingly at him and opens the door. Before she is out the office, raman calls her name.

She turns back : "Yes Raman?"

Raman hesistant... "For this trip... did you book... two separate rooms or one only?" He is trying to act casual but Ishita sees him blushing.

Ishita : "I guess you'll know once we reach there, don't you?" She laughs and leaves him at that.

Raman chuckles. He really found his match in his JKR!
