But, i differ in one place. You quoted that Raman will shed tears for Shagun when she leaves this world forever. Personally, i don't think so. He shared one beautiful bond with her in one stage of his life... His first love, His children's mother... But, same woman gave him bitter memories too...

He worshipped this woman for almost 6 years... To be cheated by her... He has hated her for almost 6 years again...

Now, Ishita has helped him let go of the remnant hate which was left in him... Now, he's in a zone where he sees Shagun as Adi's mother... Where there is no love or hate left for her... I don't think he can ever shed tears for this woman anymore... He had been subject to a roller coaster of emotions right from love to hate and i don't think he can ever feel for this woman again...

He wanted a closure to this mess... Because, he didn't want this woman anymore in his life and that is not going to happen unless she gets Ashok...

Kri ... As I said .. life is all about greys ... we cannot just switch on and off ... the fact that Raman remembered that intimate moment with Shagun which she openly presented in front of the party shows that he has not forgotten anything .. he just hates the last part .. the beautiful part when he got married to her, when she conceived Adi and Ruhi ...

If he had bad memories of six years to go by .. he also had beautiful memories of the same ... so while he lets go of his relationship with her ... nothing can change the memories .. the human mind is brilliant ... it has the ability to forget everything which actually acts as a healing agent ... at the same time ... it has the knack to retain some memories as well.

So, my point was ... whenever Shagun leaves this world .. Raman will shed a tear for that part of his relationship. It did not have a future, it did not have a happy ending, it let to bitter memories ... is another story ... nothing will change the fact it was beautiful at one point of time.

Ask away any divorced couple ... even in the bitterest of divorces, there have been instances when one has shed a tear or two for the other only because even though it did not end well .. it had actually started well ...

Again ... Life is grey not black and white.

Aww thanks B 🤗
Last night what we saw was the original Raman aka Happy Bhalla. A guy who encouraged his MIL to make a better use of her talent and have a go at it. One who made every dream of his brother of heart come true. One who went to great lengths to keep his wife happy...be it with flowers or the jewellery that she craved for...he got it all. And this is the man that was lost due to the bitterness unleashed by Shagun. So enough of damage done and enough of precious time lost. The real Happy Bhalla had to come to the fore. Ishita just played a role in making him remember what he really is, she didn't turn him into this Mahaan clone of herself. Raman always was a simple and a big hearted man who was easily fooled by two most important and trusted people in his life. And now he is wiser. And so is Ishita after falling for Sanjana and Shagun's machinations.

Totally with you on this one Bhanu. Shedding a tear only makes you human, that you empathise with the other. And a couple who've been married and borne two children will have some good memories that will lead to some sort of grief at the loss of a former partner, no matter how brief. In fact, the more bitter you stay with your memories, you ultimately damage and hurt yourself the most. A fact that Raman learnt the hard way where he lost precious moments and years with his loved ones.So the letting go is actually for yourself so that you can heal.

Can u write a bit more about Ishita's letting go.

I understood other peoples Eureka moment except for Ishitas. What she did for Mihir is right not at all Mahan. But here monologue "mere Raman hogaye ho" looked rushed to me.

Hats off to u for writing personal stuff and also working out well in life. I m sure u must hv gone through hardships but still i have seen u as a positove soul. 😊

N ya YHM does touch our heart some days.

Interesting point of view... But, as you said, humans and their brains...are quite complicated. While i'm seeing it from a different point of view, you are seeing it from the other side...

I respect your POV...😊

Megha ... I would love to write about Ishita's POV ... but I found something better ... rather something brilliant ... let me put you to Ruby's post and Aani's reply to it ... I can never even reach the ground Aani stands on .. she has described Ishita's travelogue from Mera Pati to Mere Raman beautifully ...

Beautifully written. The part about you and your mom, very very touching... God bless her soul!
Letting Go...so apt. Loved it.

I have one question though...the one about Shagun. Yes, she begged her brother's assistance for her happiness but did she really beg? Didn't she still show her wickedness by twisting everyone's emotions? The drama about Sanjana? Was that really begging or was it more like an egoistic lady demanding for help...otherwise???

Totally got Raman's point of view. Made full sense on why he wanted Mihir to help...but I still feel the evil witch Shagun could have been brought down a notch or two to obtain Mihir's support...

And a big hug to you for sharing your pain with us. Proud to have you here amongst us! 🤗I am going to copy paste the response I posted on Ruby's thread regarding last night's episode

A big round of applause to the CVs for an episode that will probably go down as one of the best in YHM. Kudos to the writers for such a powerful episode. The powers that be in the show really go the full length for the finale of their tracks, don't they 😆 Phir bhalle the journey to that episode may be bumpy, end aisa karta hain ke hum dung reh jate hain. In addition to the script, it was full of stellar performances...from Shagun's desperation to Mihir's angst and Raman's closure, everyone did justice to their roles. After showing us an episode like Friday where Ishita was hellbent on making Sanjana Mihir's sister and it seemed we were watching a comedy show rather than YHM, we got a gem of an episode last night.

I loved everything about last night's episode from its start. But of course the highlight was the balcony scene 😳 And I also don't see any Mahanta in Raman's decision or his becoming an Ishita clone. He finally did today what he should have done years ago, accepted that Shagun and him were not meant to be and in fact that is what was best for him because he deserved better. Man proposes, God disposes. You cannot escape your destiny and yes life treats no one unjustly. Last night was Raman's acknowledgement that fate did him a favour by getting Shagun out of his life. And it is best to let bygones be bygones. Plus they've had six years to come to terms with it so no need to add further misery and lose more precious time. Loved it when he said that despite you hating someone, if you are destined to be together, you can't escape (my take was he alluded to Ishita here) and no matter how much you love someone, the tighter you want to hold them, they will slip out (Shagun, where he tried his best to not let her leave him). The dialogues given to Raman for two minutes describe the gist of what life is all about and the writers penned them down perfectly. How can you move on in life if you don't let go of your past? Raman now wants Mihir to do what he started to do post the party bench convo with Ishita. That was the night when Ishita made Raman realise that she was married to him and that meant everything attached to him is as much her responsibility as his. Ruhi was the means of that connection but his family which included Adi also came with it. Ishita also made him see how destructive his hate for Shagun really was. And that is when he started his journey of letting the past go and stay where it deserved to be. They had finally come to a stage where despite her lecturing, Raman began to understand where Ishita was coming from. Hence his insistence the next morning that she will also accompany him for the blood tests, as much as for his support as for Shagun to see that they were a unit now in the true sense. Ishita was no longer a nanny for Ruhi that he had brought home. And Ishita claiming Raman as Mera Raman last night does not mean that she is responsible for this change. Raman has always been a good, decent human being. A fact that Mr Iyer saw before he married his daughter to him and Bala saw soon after he got married to his favorite saali/sister. It was only Ishita who had to realise that her Aam was kachcha and not rotten the way she believed him to be. And last night she also witnessed what a gem she's married to and why Mihir is so devoted to his Raman Bhai.

His forgiving Shagun was not out of some Mahanta but for the simple fact that people who do not matter in your life should not be given the power to hurt you also. So just let the past be and let it go. Quite a few people did not like his reference to her as the mother of his children and that he would be upset if she was called by indecent names. Well that is a humane thing to do, koi ghair ke liye bhi woh lafz sunna nahin chahe ga, yeh tu phir bhi uss ke bachchon ki maa hai! And yes like he said, that is an undeniable fact that she is the mother of his children. Plus now is the first time that Ashok has shown some inclination towards marrying her, so the fact that she was living as his keep for the last six years and was not bothered by it is redundant. She had no choice! So now if there is a chance and her family can make it possible for her, then being a brother Mihir will have to do his bit. Blood ties are like that...despite all your differences you cannot deny the cord connection. And it's not as if she hasn't suffered for her choices. Hence the use of Bechari by Raman.

The other thing that made me happy was the fact that nobody made an issue with Raman for hiding this. In my opinion this was Mihir's secret, his prerogative. And Raman was simply honouring his friend's wishes. So was glad to see that Ishita and Iyers saw it for what it was.

O wow Sophee, love your thought process and your positivity. I loved loved loved the epi too, that's why I was upset at the bashing.

Well said yaara, to you and Bhanu 🤗
