SS: A new beginning- part 15 on page 30

After the big drama at mihir's tilak function the elders decided to postpone mihir n mihika's wedding. So everybody retired to their respective homes after lots of yellings n lectures. Raman was pissed off at ishita for not telling him all this. However mrs. Bhalla n the rest were constantly telling raman that it was partly his fault as well because if he had shared the truth with ishita then this could have been avoided. Ishita kept asking for raman's forgiveness but raman being raman started yelling at ishita again. And due to his anger he told ishita that she is the biggest mistake he has made in his life. Thats it. One sentence n the strong independent woman broke down. She ran off to the Iyer's n sank into the floor. Amma n appa tried to console their broken daughter but all in vain. On the other hand Mr. Bhalla n Mrs. Bhalla kept telling raman that his words have hurt ishita beyond imagination n he should apologize. But the big egoistic man he was raman went into his room without saying anything.
Back at the Iyer house, ishita kept crying the whole day. She didnt even eat or drink anything. Even little ruhi couldnt pacify her ishima this time. So she ran to her papa n told him that ishima is not eating n forced raman to go make her eat. How could he say no to his beloved angel. But before raman could go to the iyer's, ishita got a call from her clinic. It was an emergency n she had to go. When raman went amma told him that ishita had to go. "Bewakoof madrasan!" Raman cursed under his breath n came back home n went to sleep. However, his thoughts kept roaming back to ishita. Her tear filled eyes when she said sorry to him. N how he told her off. Suddenly his eyes jerked open when his mind processed a question he hadnt think of before. "Where was param?" <font size="3">[/SIZE][Size]</font>

Here's part 2.

A new beginning-part 2

It was a windy night. Ishita went to the clinic to find nobody there. She checked the computer at the reception to see whether any emergency is there. To her surprise no emergency is there. So she went out n headed to her car when suddenly a hand grabbed her from behind, covered her mouth n dragged her across the road into a jeep. She thrashed her hands n legs in vain n the jeep drove off.

Raman was restless. He didnt want to disturb his family at this time after the big incident today. He knew everyone would be very tired. But behind the big ego he has, his heart was telling him that something is wrong. Ishita is in trouble. And he needed to find her. He knew he wont be able to sleep unless he see ishita safe and sound. So he went and knocked at the iyer's n a very sleepy and tired amma opened the door. Raman enquired about ishita n amma said she hasnt returned yet. Raman was shocked .

He drove off in his car restlessly searching the roads hoping to find a glimpse of her. He was cursing himself for not listening to her when his heart knew all this happened somewhat because of him. He was silently praying that nothing should happen to her. The rain was making it worse for him to see the roads clearly.
After some time he got a call from home. It was romi n he said ishita bhabhi is home. Raman thanked his stars n raced home only to find a very bruised n hurt ishita on the stairs. Both the families were gathered around.

He fell beside her n started throwing questions at everyone. But the tensed families just gave the answer that according to a neighbour she ran all the way here n fell on the stairs. Raman pulled ishita to his lap n started asking her what happened. She just looked at him once with teary eyes n fell unconscious. They rushed her to hospital.
After 2 hours the doctor came out from ICU.

Doctor: Im very sorry to say this but she is not responding to out medications.

Raman: How can u say this doctor. Why wont she respond? Your goddamned medications are not good enough. He screamed.

Doctor: Listen Mr. Bhalla. We know u are tensed but sometimes the medications depend on the patient.

Mrs. Bhalla: I dont understand doctor. What does that mean?

Doctor: Sometimes patients dont react to medications because they feel that they cant do it anymore. They just cant handle the pain. Maybe the patient doesnt want to wake up for some reason. Maybe she is hurt beyond repair. But we are still trying. Dont lose hope.

The doctor left leaving everyone speechless. Raman was so hurt he couldnt even stand properly . The doctor's words kept ringing in his ears.
Mihir came to comfort him. And the dam broke. He cried on mihir's shoulder.
"She doesnt want to wake up, mihir. She feels that ruhi doesnt need her anymore. She feels that.. I dont need her.. No no. I cant lose her. What will I do if something happens to her. What if she also leaves me like everyone else did. I cant afford that. Please.. Please tell her to wake up.. Please"..

He ran upto his mom n held her hands. "Maa, please na. Ishita will listen to you. Please tell her to wake up. Please tell her not to leave me... Please tell her that I need her more than ruhi does.."

Everyone tried to comfort him. They told him that this is the time to be strong. After some time ishita's monitor started beeping. Raman started screaming for a doctor. The doctor rushed to her side n after a while came out shaking his head.

Raman: "Doctor!! What happened to my ishu?? Is she okay??? Please tell me she is okay". raman grabbed his collar.

Doctor: Mr. Bhalla Im sorry to say that your wife has gone into a coma. She is really weak.

Raman felt as if his heart was shattered into a million pieces. '" He remembered all the words exchanged between them that week. All the things he said that would have hurt her beyond words. And it all ended with the day before the tilak function when he had asked her not to talk to him n she had said, "why till tomorrow? How about not talking forever?" Those words kept ringing in her ears repeatedly as if someone had recorded those words n kept a tape player in his mind.

Raman couldnt take it anymore. He knew he cant live without her. He ran into the ICU n fell on his knees beside her n poured his heart out to her.

Raman: ishu please dont leave me. I say things in anger. U know whatever I said was not meant to hurt u n I also know that it did hurt. I know I deserve punishment for all those times I have hurt u. But please dont give me such a big punishment. Raavan kumar cant exist without his jhansi ki rani. Please open your eyes. I cant... I cant live without u. I cant survive without hearing your lectures. I cant go on without listening to your bakwaas. I cant sleep without seeing your angelic face. I cant function without seeing your beautiful smile. love you ishu. I really do.. Please wake up...

His tears were falling on her lifeless face. The whole family had tears in their eyes. Mihir was consoling a very broken down mihika. For once amma didnt know what to do. Mrs. Bhalla couldnt bear to see her raman broken once again. She rushed to his side n tried to peel him away from ishita. But he held on. He wouldnt let go of her this time. He cupped her face n pressed his lips against hers. He kept kissing her n mumbling incoherent words against her lips. '

Doctor: Its not good to disturb her like this. All of you please kindly leave and let her rest now. You can see her after some time.

Everybody turned to leave except one. Raman wont leave his jhansi ki rani's side. Not until she wakes up. Not this time. The doctor along with romi n mihir tried to take raman away. The doctor constantly kept saying that ishita wont get better if he keeps doing this.

But suddenly ishita's monitor started beeping loudly. Her heartbeat raised and her breathing became shallow. Raman felt her lips quiver against his. He smiled and entwined his fingers with hers. He knew she could feel him this time. He knew she felt his heart beating in synch with hers. And for the first time in years raman kumar bhalla felt safe. He felt he belonged somewhere. And that somewhere was right here. In the arms of his beloved. His love, his life, the very reason of his existance- Ishita.. His jhansi ki rani.
She opened her eyes as if she has heard his silent voice. Raman broke the kiss and looked at her lovingly.

Raman: I love you ishu.

Ishita coughed and tried to say something only to be silenced by raman pressing his lips on hers again.
Ishita wound her hands around raman's neck n held on as if he was the only anchor in the storm. She tried to speak again. The doctors and the whole family kept staring at the miracle that just happened. Mrs. Bhalla kept wiping the tears of happiness which fell from her eyes seeing her Happy back.

Ishita: Raman... Raman.. He..he..is going..to kill...me. Please..help...I escaped his clutches this time..but..but he said he'll...be back..back for me. He said he'll..make me his...

The last words jerked raman's mind into attention. He nostrils flared in anger as he said,

Raman: Who he? Who did this to u?? Tell me and I'll make sure that b*stard is skinned alive.

Precap: Raman finds the person who made ishita go through all this.
