Okay I'm not able to concentrate on the ongoing physics lecture so I thought of writing this.
Part 3
Raman: Who he? Who did this to u?? Tell me and I'll make sure that b*stard is skinned alive.
Ishita was too tired after talking too much and she fainted before she could say anything else. Ofcourse raman freaked out but the doctor assured him and the whole family that ishita is stable and everything is fine.
Mr. Bhalla insisted on going home with ruhi as its already very late and she has to go to school. Vandu and bala also left with shravu. The others also left as raman assured them that he would call them if he needs anything. The doctor also left after telling raman to signal him if anything happens.
Now since raman was alone with ishita again, all those painful things he said and did to her came running back into his mind and without even knowing, the tears started making their way down his cheeks. He remembered how he told her that she is the biggest mistake he made in life. And took a silent vow to compensate for all the damage he caused even though he knew that a million years of apology will not be sufficient.
But he knew his jhansi ki rani well. He smiled through the tears as he knew ishita had already forgiven him without even asking. How can someone be so selfless and giving? How can someone be so weak at times but yet so strong? How much pain can a heart endure before it stopped?
But then again, ishita is different. He thought. Ishita is the type of woman who will never give up. She is the type of woman who builds a path instead of a wall when stones are thrown at her.
Raman smiled as he climbed on the bed next to his ishita and thanked God for giving him this angel. Its true that she came into his life like a typhoon. And turned his life upside down. She changed him for good. She showed him the importance of love in one's life. She broke through the wall he built around his heart. Yes, she. She marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life. And he is going to fill this chapter with all the bright colors that existed in the world.
Raman came out of his beautiful little world when ishita stirred in her sleep. His mind stood on alert when he heard her screaming his name. He saw her thrashing her legs and instantly knew she was having a nightmare about the incident. He tried waking her up. To assure her that he is there. But she wouldnt open her eyes. Raman's mind kept telling him to go call the doctor. However, this time he decided that he would followed his heart. He climbed on top of her and held her in place using his legs. And kissed her.
Ishita stopped her thrashing. As soon as raman's lips touched hers, she knew he was there with her. She knew he wont let anything happen to her. She knew he will protect her. But most of all, she knew he'll never let her go.
Ishita opened her eyes and looked up at him. Raman kissed her forehead and told her that it was just a nightmare. Ishita nodded with teary eyes. But raman noticed that she was shaking in fear. He moved to the side and pulled her on his lap. She rested her head on his chest and kept listening to his heartbeat. Raman kept caressing her back and kissing her hairs from time to time.
After some time raman felt her calm down and asked her lovingly.
Raman: Ishu.. Can you tell me who did this to you?
Raman felt her stiffen as soon as he asked the question but still he continued.
Raman: Look ishu, I promise I wont let anything happen to you. I promise you he cant do anything to you. Im here with you na? Now please tell me who he is so that I can teach him what a big mistake he has done by laying his dirty hands on my wife.
Ishita looked up at him with tears rolling down her cheeks.
Ishita: It was.. It was.. Param. He was the one who called me from the clinic phone when there was no emergency. When I was coming back home, he pulled me into a jeep and drove off. I screamed for help but nobody was there to hear me. I managed to run away from him but he kept running after me. Fortunately I reached our neighbourhood and he scurried away. But he promises he'll come back. Raman please dont let him near me. I feel disgusted by his touched. I feel as if I am impure.
Ishita cried into his chest and raman couldnt take this. He has never been able to see his jhansi ki rani like this. He has never been able to cope with tears in her eyes. It hurt him although he never expressed it. At the same time he was shaking with rage. This was the second time that monster has laid his filthy hands on his wife. This time he is not going to let him go. This time he wont rest until that son of a b*tch rots in jail.
Raman: Shhh ishu. I already promised you that I wont let anything happen to you. And raman kumar bhalla never breaks his promises.
He said in a teasing tone just to lighten up the atmosphere.
Ishita hugged him tight in response.
Raman woke up the next morning when the family came in with breakfast. Ishu was still fast asleep on his chest and he didnt want to disturb her. So he told the family that he would have breakfast when ishu wakes up. The whole family was happy to see raman and ishu together. Happy to know that they found peace in each other's arms.
