I agree with you completely - it is evident that there is still deep love between Mihir and a Shagun - Mihir has been deeply hurt by Shagun, and his transfer of loyalty to his Jiju by making him his Bhai means that in his mind at least, Mihir has shut off every avenue for a continued relationship with Shagun. How can his Bhai's ex wife be his sister?

I am really looking forward to seeing how the CVs explain the back story, and the reason for Mihir's mothers estrangement from both her children ( and of course Shagun is Mihir's sister and PP is their mother. No doubts there in my mind)

Thank you for this awesome post 👏

Me too V .. I hope the CV's give us a proper background of the story of the Arora's. It will be an interesting plot to watch out for.

Thank you for reviewing 😊

I like your take on shagun. She maybe a terrible woman but she is a human and like all humans, she is multi-faceted. CV's have so far only portrayed her as a greedy, selfish, manipulative bimbo. we got a small glimpse of her human side, I first saw it in the warmth she displays towards ruhi, her love for adi and that she keeps sending mihir rakhi even though he severed all ties with her. Most Creatives make the mistake of not humanizing their antagonists, but making them more than just vamp actually makes things interesting. She loves her kids in her own way and today, I saw a little longing on her face. Maybe she wished things were different, and that she did not ruin everything with her bare hands.

CV's have great opportunity to show us shagun's backstory, and show us her senstive side which I think exists under her mean streak. I still maintain that shagun is awful but humans are grey shaded, every part of her can't be bad.

I totally agree that in real life every human being is actually a grey character ... good for some, bad for others .. but I am not sure CV's will show us the sensitive side of Shagun as they wil surely stick to the vamp mode ... it is the way Indian serials are made ... yet I think we made get to see different shades of Shagun while the past of Mihir, Shagun and PP is explored. At least that is my take.

Thank you for reviewing 😊

Yup. She has been quoted as the insensitive lady which she is as far as Raman and her kids go but may be Mihir is her weak spot ... who knows

I agree. Their bond is definitely complicated yet real. Remember how Shagun was worried that Mihir was not happy when he was getting engaged to Trisha? I think there is definitely love there, but her actions and choices ruined that relationship. At that point in time, being with Ashok must have seemed more important than anything else to her and she must have been willing to sacrifice anything for it. As time passed, those sacrifices may come back to haunt her.

Great post and great analysis.

Thank you for reminding me. You are right. Shagun was worried for Mihir during Trisha's time. As I mentioned, sometimes when we get blinded by our choices, everything else looks absolutely mundane in front of them ... including our loved ones ... but with time as our emotions settle down, one realizes its implications.

Thank you 😊

Mohabbatein is d word for love often misinterpreted (due to our Hindi films) as love between Husband n wife or lovers. Loved how u hv explained Rakhi n its importance from both Mihir n Shaguns POV.

I agree mnr. Thanks to overdose of Bollywood (actually, on second I do not mind the overdose 😆😆), we always limit the premises of love as only the love between two individuals ... love has meanings ... love can also be platonic, heck, workaholics are also in love ... with their work ... so it all depends on perception.

hey there ...

Param is a creep thats a given ... whats more he is a swindler as well ... a lazy swindler & a creep .. super combination ... a man who wants to live off the hard work of others ... as in the case of the baby file .. instead of sitting down & coming up with a better plan he chose to use Raman's file & copy the same ...

How does one take the scale off Simmi's eyes ... She clearly trusts her husband implicitly ... which is good ... but since she is not in his orbit now .. what stays with her is her belief .. a belief which to be shattered she needs to be exposed to Param ... infact every time she has spent time with him she has got a glimpse of his roving eye ...

They say a leopard seldom changes his spots .. the lazy creepy swindler aint changing so soon ... add to the mix Ishita his obsession is going to be IN HIS FACE ... & whats more theres a new dimension to the tale ... Sarika ... the game changer ... 😉

BTW : what spoiler .. i always miss those 😲

New spoiler has it that param will be back in Bhallas house

We are all making predictions along the same line as you to explain why Raman will take such a move

But fact still remains redwine that this expectation comes with danger, for Ishita mostly.

Raman wouldn't be able to have his eyes on him 24/7, param is smart and chances are that one day no one will be there to actually protect Ishita...there's no guarantee that param will be caught...

So is it worth the cost?

The title of this show "This is love" depicts the many flavors and expressions of love...as parent, child, friend, lover, relative, employee and many more. The definition of love is subjective and personal. But if we remove all labels to the relationships between the characters, the only way misunderstandings and distance can ever be removed is acceptance. Ultimately the true definition of love is just acceptance of what is, who is and how things are.

Mihir's distanced himself from Shagun because he couldn't accept his sister's choices. To err is human, to forgive divine. I often wondered if Shagun were in mortal danger, would Mihir still refuse to have anything to do with her or come to her aid?

Shagun walked away from Raman and left him to pick up the pieces of his life with Ruhi. Ishita has been the balm to heal Raman's soul and believe in love and trust again. Even Raman who was deeply hurt when Shagun left him for Ashok has stepped up to help her for humanitarian reasons, not as his ex-wife or the mother of his children.

It was love at first sight for Mihir when he met Mihika. Every time he meets Shagun his anger and resentment of the past still simmers below the surface. He avoids her or hurts her with his words. If Mihir doesn't forgive Shagun for her choices and let go of the anger and resentment, they will show up in his own life down the road. Hatred and resentment eats away at the person holding such feelings...no matter how angry Mihir gets at Shagun it hurts him more...enough to impact his marriage.

Mihika now works for Ashok, the very man Shagun chose over Raman and her marriage. Ashok has plans to use Mihika to teach Shagun a lesson and it could become a situation of his words against hers. Will Mihir judge her the same way he judged Shagun? Will his trust in Mihika be shaken because once again Ashok is the reason and he judges Mihika bec' he's reminded of Shagun's betrayal of her husband. Or will Mihir face a situation where his love for Mihika overcomes all hurdles and he finally forgives Shagun? After all this is love, aka yeh hai mohabbatein.

@BOLD: Excellent observation. I was thinking about the same premises. It will be interesting to watch the scene unfold between Mihika Mihir Shagun. And you are right. Forgiveness is necessary to move one. Remember, the conversation between the Raman and Ishita when Ishita asked him to be cordial to Shagun and stop resenting everytime about it. It will be the same scenario with Mihir and Shagun this time ... Let us see. ... interesting period of YHM is going to start.
