Title suits Raman to the T. He is perfect blend of Neem and Shahad.

Thank you for these thought process of Ishita. I was actually wondering in the show Raman is doing so much for Ishu, taking care of her since picnic track & now with fracture. Was wanting show Ishu to reflect on it much & think. But only a line or two was shown. So this piece really is wonderful.

Sorry Aani... took my so long !!!

so... the first thing that came to my mind was a scene from some movie (i am horrible at remembering scenes and dialogues) where a pregnant woman has cravings for ice-cream in the middle of the night, and her husband drives her out. I remember that they also dont have a 'normal' relationship or they are in the middle of a fight...

then my fickle mind started wandering and imagined a scenario... what if Ishita were pregnant and Raman would have to cater to all her whims and fancies 24*7... By God it would be a treat to see Raavan Kumar humbled.

Then i fell back onto the ground and started reading your story again 😆

Wonderfully written Aani... Ishita's state of mind is such a mystery, and reading your story gives us clarity. You make Ishita seem a normal person who actually thinks about her broken heart and past. The line about Ruhi being her saviour when it was in fact Ishita who saved Ruhi... that line brought a smile to my face... I liked it very much. such a deep and meaningful thought. and so typical of Ishita to think like that!!!

and Aani... every other story you make Ishita taunt Raman's height or age 😡 as mad as I get when you make fun of Raman, I do like the realistic element it brings. I can really imagine a woman making fun of her man like that 😃

And you know how much I love that song too😊. I always thought this one was made for Raman and Ishita. the lead-pair's acting in that song, and the chemistry reminds me so much of these two. especially Raman!

Hope I have made up for the delay with this quote :)

You are so right, that title just describes Raman perfectly. Loved Ishita's musings throughout, that mental stripping of Raman's character to acknowledge the man underneath, that's the most beautiful realization phase for Ishita and even though she is going through that at the moment, it's not possible to depict that this elaborately in the show so this is a treat to read. <3

He was nothing she wanted...and it turns out everything she needed.

My favorite line. So true, sometimes what we want is not what we need and I believe IshRa are the perfectly example of it.

Lol, the nok jhok over that kulfi. Uber cute! That's trademark IshRa and I loved it! 😳

Raman telling about Ishita about the rule, more than jealousy over Subbu's mention, it looked to me a way of saying Ishita was someone to be appreciated and Subbu had been a fool not to, in short telling her he did. Beautiful! :)

Can we do something and bribe Ekta to make you the writer instead ... You are on a roll and girl what brilliant stuff you come up with ... how I wish the CV's just look at your work once ... just once and they will surely know where to find the motivation ...

The title couldn't have been more apt ... It reflects Raman to the core ... only this man has the capability to be equally rude and sensitive at the same time ...

I loved the way you brought the comparison between Subbu and Raman by your subtle writing ... I dated the same man for five years before marrying him and yet I end up comparing my boyfriend with my husband 😛😉

Therefore, it is inevitable for Ishita to do so ... both of them are like a phase of her life ... and an important one ... on top of it they are diametrically opposite to each other both in every which way possible. I just loved the entire introspection and cannot pick up a single line from it ...

Coming to the last leg of your OS, wow, Raman ... Can I marry this Raman 😳😳... (I like your OS vaala Raman way more than the YHM Raman ... 😉😛😉) ... I simply loved the way he conveyed his feelings in a totally Raman Kumar manner ... wow ... beautiful ...

Always wait for your PM to dive into the beautiful Ishraland.

P.S.: It is raining cats and dogs right now and you have mentioned Karol Bagh and kulfi ... Roshan di Kulfi (for people from outside Delhi, Roshan di Kulfi is a landmark )... now I am craving that kulfi sitting in Bangalore ... you know what , suddenly I hate your OS ... 😭😭

Ok you know I'm being majorly slow with the updating of comments, but I'm getting there.😳

First off this song is an old favourite, and is bang on for these two characters. This OS had evertyhing I love about Raman and Ishita and more. You used the 'kulfi' as great storytelling mechanism. Aani I know I keep saying but if only we got to see this onscreen! exactly how you've written it as well. Beautiful hun 🤗

I love any bit of fan fiction more than the usual when a person's feelings are expressed. Your entire One Shot was in the voice of Ishita over-viewing her husband and her feelings for him. It was really endearing and innocent, as innocent as Ishita herself is 😳.

I loved reading about the changes in their relation. Especially how she compared what she felt when they married and now how long they've come. That she enjoys his company, his sense of humour and wit.

Raman going with Ishita for Kulfi because she insisted, that's adorable. And how they fight over that one Kulfi even more adorable. There is deep understanding and friendship and a hint of love beginning to make place too. Every moment was so well described, I could imagine it playing out.

Raman is indeed a man hard from exterior and soft from within, or as you said bitter sweet, like Neem and Shahad. 😊 And Ishita's acknowledgment of that was brilliant.

What a wonderful, feel good piece.
