Vanga : My films are losing revenue due to Adult certification
swati_bhatia: Thank you for the encouragement. As a new writer, it makes me feel wonderful with each review.
Chathu: Thank you. Glad you loved it.
Whitelily: Glad you found it wonderful. Hope you like the next part as well.
Daisydee425: Thank you so much.
MSN_Vanny: Thank you so much dear. The wait shall be over soon. I intend to update today itself.
Yyy: I know. I have always felt that while Raman's past has been acceptably dissected, the cv's have never thrown any light on Ishita's past. She comes with her own emotional baggage which needs to be explored. Do not worry, this SS is all about doing that and I intend to throw some much needed light into her turmoil.
_Dipsi_: Thank you for the appreciation. It means a lot.
Nikki_Titli: Thank you. I hope I am able to maintain some excitement for the reader. As a first time writer, am not very familiar with it but still trying my best.
lourel24: Yup. I really want CV's to show something like this onscreen. While all of us have seen Ishita handling Shagun sensibly, what about her own past? I hope I can do some justice to this fact in this SS.
Aruljanet: Thank you. Glad you loved it.
Dhwaniiam: Thank you. I hope I come up to everyone expectations with this update.
kavithaa12: Thank you so much. Glad you liked it.
Jyoe: Thank you so much Jyoe. As I said before, as a first timer, it feels amazing to get such an awesome review. I think you summarized the entire idea behind my SS beautifully. This is exactly what I want to explore. Ishita has always dealt with Raman's past. What happens if there is a role reversal? I hope I am able to justice to this thought through my future updates.
Shana1234: Thank you so much for your kind words.
Paru_rox: Wohoo ... am floored ... am so happy to know that you remember me due to my previous post ... it makes my writing effort worthwhile ... 😳😳 ... I could not agree more with you ... I have always been an avid reader but a reluctant writer ... but something about this accident track and Ishita's sudden behavior change from that episode tested my patience that day ... thus the outcome ... but frankly am glad I wrote it because it gave me confidence to write this SS ... I had been toying with this for a while now but was too scared to pen down my thoughts ...
I sincerely hope am able to do justice to this beautiful character's unexplored.
Hehehe 😆😆. Avoiding the accident track. Be my guest. We can both play ostrich ;-).
Avni_19: Thank you so much Avni. Am so happy that you liked it.
Javeria3991: Thank you dear.
Shivaniaroraji: Thank you. I will try my best to update it today itself.
_Dipsi_: Thanks. Hope you like the next update.
007jindal: Thank you.
JniIshra83: Hehe. Personally, I know a couple of my friends who are similar to the fictional characters introduced in this SS. And though they are very nice people sometimes they unnecessarily invade one's personal space without even realizing it.
AditiDoc: Thank you Aditi.
Ruhanikadhawan: I like your username a lot 😉😉. It automatically brings a smile on my face every time I look at it. Thank you.
Rev4eva: Thank you. I hope am able to satiate your craving with the upcoming update.
RheaSh: thank you RheaSh. Glad you found it awesome.

Thanks to each of you for liking my post. It means a lot to me.
Wow, thank you so much for this appreciation guys. I am floored 😳😳. As I said earlier, I have always felt that while we have seen enough of Raman's past; his agony, his problem, his Adi 😉😉... but we know next to nothing about our dear Ishita's past. No one knows how she dealt with her pain and what will be her reaction if her past comes back knocking on her doors?
With the following update, I have tried to answer one of these questions in my own way. I hope I am able to do a little justice to her trauma ... I am planning to write one more part before I end this SS but who knows where do my thoughts lead me to ... so till then ... please like and review my efforts ... your honest reviews are always more than welcome ...
Lastly, I am still able to find out a way to PM all of you at one go😭😭 . I even asked everyone on the forum but got no significant help . So I will PM all of you individually. Therefore, pardon me if the PMs take their own sweet little time 😳😳 .
Now, enough of my bak bak , I leave you to dive into my own Ishraland. Enjoy.
Cheers
Bhanu.
PART 3
--------------------------------------------------------------
Wise men say that your whole life flashes before your eyes before you die. Does that mean she was dying? In that particular moment, all memories of Subbu invaded her mind with explosive force. The infant in her arms seemed to have find solace in her soft arms and was now in deep slumber. Ironically, the same act had awakened her deeply buried feelings of agony, despair; betrayal ... the list was endless. All she wanted at that moment was to run away from there and find solace in her amma's arms. But her feet were jammed; her throat was dry; and she was glued to the spot ... "Dr. Ishita Raman Kumar Bhalla ..." She heard someone take her name from distance ... there was something in that voice which seemed to bring her back to life ... it was genuine, it was warm ... it was caring ? That is when she realized that standing beside her with his protective arms wrapped around her shoulders was Raman.
Raman did not know what made him run towards Ishita urgently. After all, he had to admit she was a smart, independent and intelligent woman perfectly capable of handling any adverse situation perfectly on her own. But all he could think of at that moment was the fact that his wife was in trouble and was all alone. He had to be there for her.
He rushed to the spot, wrapped his arms around her shoulders and immediately interrupted the group.
"Sorry for barging in the middle of conversation. I know aap sab soch rahe honge ki ye kaun hai to let me do the introductions myself. Mera naam Raman kumar Bhalla hai. And mai is party me Ishita ke saath hoon. Dr. Ishita Raman Kumar Bhalla ke saath. " He looked at Subbu meaningfully while emphasizing on his wife's name authoritatively.
Few pair of eyes collectively widened and there was an audible gasp from the group upon this announcement. While Subbu was suddenly interested in the intricate design on the carpet on the floor, the reaction of others was not so subtle.
"Ishita ki shaadi aapse hui hai; to iska matlab Ishita ki shaadi Subbu se ... " the words left the mouth of Nisha before she could stop herself. As soon as she realized it, she immediately covered her mouth in horror and averted her gaze due to embarrassment.
"Nahi hui. Meri shaadi Subbu ke saath nahi hui. Usne mujhe chor dia kyunki mai use kabhi bacha nahi de sakti thi. Mai kabhi maa nahi ban sakti hoon. Kabhi bhi nahi" Ishita continued from where Nisha had left while constantly shaking her head. She seemed to be out of her slumber but Raman did not fail to register the fact that how cold she felt , how defeated her stance was and how much pain was reflecting her dark orbs. Ishita silently turned around and without even looking at Subbu handed over the sleeping toddler to him and whispered to Raman. Her voice had a pleading urgency to it. "Mujhe yahan se jaana hai. Please. Mujhe ghar jaana hai." A tear trickled from her eye to her cheeks at the same time.
Raman looked at shattered wife for a moment, then giving an intimidating look to Subbu, nodded his head silently towards Ishita, wrapped his arms around her yet again and started towards the exit.
They had walked a few feet hen he stopped and looked at his wife's defeated demeanor. The gears in his mind seemed to be shifting and it looked like he was having a mental confrontation with his inner self. Next moment, he took her hand, turned around and went back to the still shocked group with a determined look in his eyes.
Ishita Ruhi ka utna hi khayal rakhti hai jitni koi sagi maa apne bache ka rakhti hai. Shayad usse kahin aur zyada. Ishita ne uski life me aake uski life ki sabse badi kami ko poora kia hai. Aaj Ishita ke karan hi mai apni family, apni beti ke kareeb aa paaya hoon. Usne aakar hamari bikharti hui zindagi ko sambhal lia hai. Aaj mai daave ke saath keh sakta hoon ki khud uparwala bhi chahe to Ruhi ke liye Ishita se better Maa nahi dhoond sakta hai." He said and looked at Ishita appreciatively whose resolved seemed to have disappeared by now for her tears were flowing freely from her eyes.
Raman turned towards Subbu and continued, "Aur haan, Subbu, jaane se pehle mujhe tumse kuch kehna hai. In fact, kehna nahi hai thank you bolna hai. Thank you so much. "
Subbu who did not know how to respond looked astonished at Raman's behavior.
Hairan mat ho. Aaj tumhare karan Ishita meri life me hai. Vo kya hai, agar tumne Ishita jaise heere ko pathar samajh ke thukrane ki bevakofi na ki hoti to aaj mai, mseri beti, meri family, ham sab ko itni khushiyan kabhi nahi milti. So, I want to THANK YOU for being the biggest fool in the world. Thank you so much." He smirked in his best Raman Kumar Bhalla manner but his had no trace of humor; instead they were filled with pure disgust and anger.
"Excuse us everyone. Enjoy the rest of evening." With that, he acknowledged everyone else, wrapped his arms around Ishita yet again and left the spot.
"Bhagwaan jo karta hai ache ke liye hi karta hai. Hamare batch ki princess ko sach me uska prince charming mil gaya hai. Chalo Nisha. We need to meet other friends in the party." Rakesh gave a disgusted look towards Subbu and left with his wife the next moment leaving a very shocked Subbu behind.
Raman and Ishita were standing silently at the exit waiting for the valet to get their car when they heard a voice.
"Ishu. Ruko Ishu. Ek min meri baat suno."
Raman turned around to see Subbu running towards them. His son was not with him anymore.
"Ishu. Ruko. Please meri baat suno. Sirf ek baar please meri baat suno." He said while catching his breath.
Ishita who seemed to have somewhat composed by now felt her resolve turn weak yet again and she turned away from him out of disgust. She tightened her grip on Raman's hand and a small tear trickled down her face at the same time.
Raman who was watching the entire thing felt his blood boil at the sight. He was astonished at this man's guts; he had the audacity to ask Ishita to give him a chance after the entire fiasco. It was really an irony that this man was Bala's real brother who Raman had grown to respect over time.
Raman stood right in front of Ishita effectively blocking Subbu from getting any nearer to her. At the same time, he ensured that his grip on her hand did not lose even one bit.
"Mrs. Ishita Raman kumar Bhalla. Meri beewi ka naam Mrs. Ishita Raman Kumar Bhalla hai. Aur use Ishu bulane ka haq sirf un logo ko hai jo uske dil ke bahot kareeb hai and the last time I checked, tum door door tak unme shaamil nahi ho. So please excuse us."
"Mujhe Ishu se baat karni hai. Please hamare beech me mat aao. Ishu, please, I can explain." Subbu added looking expectantly towards Ishita ignoring Raman completely.
It took every bit of his self-control for Raman not to knock out this guy on the spot. He was here with his wife in one of her events and did not want to create any scene unnecessarily. Gritting his teeth, he stood dangerously close to Subbu and warned him with a murderous look in his eyes.
"Ishita tumse baat nahi karna chahti hai. Vo tumhara chehra bhi nahi dekhna chahti hai. And rahi mere beech me aane ki baat, to agar tumhare chote se dimag me ye baat ab tak clear nahi hui hai to mai aaj once and for all saaf kar deta hoon."
"Ishita meri beewi hai ... Raman kumar Bhalla ki beewi and mai tumhare baare me to nahi jaanta, lekin ham Punjabiyon me koi admi agar kisi ki beewi se uski marzi ke bina baat karne ki, ya uske kareeb aane ki koshish karta hai to ham uske sirf daant hi nahi, poora ka poora tod dete hai. Isliye isse pehle ki mai ye bhool jau ki ham is wakt ek honorable event me khade hai and tum Bala ke bhai ho, tumhari bhalayi isi me hai ki tum yahan se dafa ho jao and aayenda kabhi meri beewi se milne ki koshish mat karo."
With a final intimidating look towards Subbu, Raman grabbed Ishita who was now visibly crying and directed her towards their already waiting car.
Throughout their drive towards their home, all Raman could think was how to console Ishita. He kept stealing glances at her and all he could see was a shattered silhouette of her actual self. While he was a master at coming up with quick witty comebacks whenever Ishita was in her Jhansi ki Rani mode, he was at total loss of words at the moment. He was never good at expressing emotions, so consoling someone was a foreign territory for him.
Having gone through a similar turmoil in life, he was well aware of the pain his wife was going through right now. He had faced the same feeling of betrayal every time he saw Shagun with Ashok. It was like taking one step forward and four steps backwards. He was well aware of each and every emotion felt by Ishita at this precise moment and his heart went out for her, but he had really no clue how to bring her out of this nightmare. He could not find the correct words to soothe her.
Ishita was exceptionally silent. Even her whimpers had given way to silent tears which had ultimately dried and she was looking outside the window with the same forlorn look on her face which seemed have become her best companion throughout this evening.
They reached their home silently without even exchanging one word. Raman got out of the car, opened the car door for her and whispered, "Ishita."
There was no response. "Ishita." Still nothing. He touched her shoulder and gently nudged her. "Ishita." She blinked her big black eyes and gave him a blank look and answered ... "Huh"
"Ishita, ghar aa gaya."
"Ghar aa gaya." She answered in a monotone which reflected no emotion at all.
She got out of the car mechanically and instead of moving towards the staircase, went ahead and sat on the bench of the small garden of their complex.
Raman who was standing beside her had a sense of dj vu. There was a reason that Mihir was a special friend; more so a brother to him. Mihir had witnessed a side of Raman no one else knew existed. He had been with Raman during his darkest hour.
Soon after the Shagun fiasco, Raman had closed the doors of his heart to everyone including his loved ones and locked himself inside a shell. He refused to share his agony with anyone else even if they tried to help. Still, at times, it became impossible for him to crush the increasing pain and agony inside him or overcome the hollow feeling which engulfed his heart constantly. To get respite from this, he would sometimes walk on a lonely road for hours till his legs ached beyond any respite and exhaustion engulfed him. On other occasions, he will sit on the same bench for hours gazing at the stars only to be woken up by the guards in the wee hours of morning.
However, during all these times, one thing was constant. Mihir. He never knew about it ... or did not notice it till hours. Mihir always maintained his distance, never came near him, never tried to confront on his actions, never consoled him; but watched him all throughout from the shadows. Raman had scolded him endlessly sometimes rudely whenever he found out and always shoved him away but this did not deter Mihir even a wee bit and he always followed him everywhere ... he was always there. Finally, one such day, Raman had cried his heart out on Mihir's shoulder ... just cried for God only knows how long ... and Mihir was still there ... No soothing words were exchanged ... nothing ... and from that day onwards, Mihir had become one of the most important persons in his life for.
That's it. Suddenly everything was crystal clear. Raman knew exactly what he had to do. Sometimes, actions speaker louder than words. He did not need to console her with some heavy duty words, nor did he need to invade her personal space by forcing her to open up. He just needed to be there. He had to be there for her.
So with new found determination, Raman went ahead and sat beside her wife just being there for her and patiently waited ...
