Here's a teaser for part 2 for those who are reading😃

Part 2:

A week later, Tista stood before her kitchen counter, her fingers frozen on the jar of sugar before her. A mixture of milk and rice was bubbling on the gas, in a steel pot. She was supposed to be stirring the mixture until it thickened, but for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to abandon the sugar jar and pick up the spatula. Her movements were rather sluggish that morning, almost as if her mind no longer had control over her body. Her heart seemed to be beating at a faster pace than usual.

... continued on blog.😃

****

If you managed to read through this.. I would love it if you leave a comment. 😳🤗

Dearest Butterfly,

How could I inspire you to write such a beautiful ts! I mean to be awed would be a big understatement in assessing this.

I have read several best friends turned into lovers but this was something I could never imagine.

The story is as unique as you. Shotti. The description of Siliguri and the essence of bengal that you brought in is unmatchable.

Especially small things such as chaa biscuit in rain, dipping the marie gold in chaa! Oh the good old days! I still remember dipping marie gold biscuit in Dia (Nani)'s chaa because that had more milk and cheeni than in maa's!

Puranosher Diner kotha...

One of the best and most loved songs of all time! Tui janish I can play the first few lines on piano? Just till tao ki bhula jae...

Aaha, you transported me to another world altogether. *Sigh*

Abhro and Tista are a class apart, I could so relate to several of the things you mentioned here.

Yeah... there's something different in tight hugs when your senses tingle as they take in the form of the person with you. The smell, steady breathing, heartbeat and warmth - to name a few.

This is one of your best out here... kind of warms my heart :)

Ato shundor je janina aar ki bolte.

I loved the way Abhro coaxed Tista back into where she belonged, with him.

Tagore's songs, rain and the warmth of a loved one. Nostalgia hits me the best and the magic that you created makes me go *O* at the scene.

Your most powerful tool, description, plays off well as you paint every scene before my eyes.

Aalo really brings a light in the story. Abu also means dada in arabic/urdu. Not entirely surprised that she found a father in a man like Abhro.

Both names with A eh?

Looks like Abhro already found his daughter in Aalo way before he even knew it.

I am so happy by this piece. My favourite line being where Abhro stops Tista to wonder over what's lost and focus what's there now.

Sigh!

This leaves me in a trance like state...

Maate! I still have to learn so much from you! *bowing to you*

Love,

Strawberry

'' Love is blind and Friendship closes its eyes...When both exist in unison there is the heaven on earth''.
I fell in love of the appellation and the words that followed. While Akash and Maya still have cast their spell; here came Abhro and Tista forcing me to escape from reality and settle somewhere in their beautiful world of teasing, friendship, sorrows, painful past, letters, rivers, clouds, rains, payesh, birthday, hot cup of tea and at last love...The descriptions have been crystal clear and concise .It was a treat to read both the parts. And the songs are so lovely and soothing. As they say music has no language and boundaries, the story of Abhro,Tista and Aalo have transcended all boundaries, language and setting to strike the right chord with the heart.
Keep Writing with immutable spirits.😊😊

hey sparks...
just completed reading the Abhro-Tista story...it left me overwhelmed...
such a beautiful tale of two best friends who were forced apart just because of the stupid and idiotic norms of society...
abhro's never dying love for tista is beautiful...
the first part describing Kolkata and the prinsep memorial made me nostalgic...it's been quite a while I visited Kolkata ...I miss it...badly.

I loved the story...
I couldn't help but imagine arjun and sakshi as the characters...and of course aarzoo as lil Mimi or Aalo..
plz don't blame me coz I m missing Stolen Moments...

any story which comes from you puts me on default mode to imagine arjun sakshi... he he he

beautiful story

keep writing.

PS: why am I such a laalchi...I so badly wish for an epilogue to this one. *fingers crossed*

The letter was simply Beautiful..👍🏼I loved the way you wrote it..I loved both the randomness and depth of the letter..I also loved the idea of throwing water-balloons and that too at a bald man..(its fun..trust me😆). I loved the unsaid words..I loved their meet at the station.I loved all their emotions which I could strongly feel, only because of your words. I'm in love with the characters.❤️

I wish you had given more about them..But I'm very very happy reading this..
Funny or silly, you may call; I remembered Aarzoo when I read the very last line..See, such potential are your characters. I miss Aarzoo.😭.*sigh*

Cloud-River part at the end..after reading it I felt the same what I had posted on your timeline. Its simply beautiful.
❤️You did it again and I dare say after a long time.🤗

Oh and before I forget I loved the banner too..And seeing it I wished you had given more description about the place.
😳But I get your point too..So no complaints.
Thanks for pm.
