Soon their world is turned upside down as terror strikes the Kashmir valley .

Their 30 years of life is shown how they live like refugees in their own country .aHow respectable families are forced to live in slum like conditions for years ..how they are made to feel insulted and belittled ....how their beautiful properties are sold dirt cheap . How they love their motherland n yearn for peace to return n they get back to their normal lives .

So well directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra ... so realistic ..so touching .. no one can watch it without getting teary eyed .

The message is subtly put forth how only love can win over hatred .
