[Written Series Episode No 204]
Episode 55 : Something to hold onto
That night, Vidurshi and Angela were seen walking out of the mess while Shreya was seen following them. Shreya decides and calls out for Vidurshi.
Sh - Vi. (Squeaks, dims) iii..
Vidurshi and Angela turn around to see no one behind them.
A - Woh kya tha?
Vi - Patha nahi.
They both turn front and get startled to see a boy standing in front of them.
Vi - Yakku. Tum? Tumne toh mujhe... humhe dara hi diya yaar.
Meanwhile, Sid drags Shreya into a isolated spot to talk. Sid had expected her to be angry and shout at him. While Shreya didn't tell anything and looked away.
S - Tum kuch nahi bolney waali ho? Chilanne waali bhi nahi ho? Koi lecture kuch bhi nahi? This is not fair yaar.
Sh - You know what is not fair. Jab koi ladki tumse kehti hai ke usse tumse koi baath nahi karni hai and then tum usse Kheech k laakey baath karney mein majbur kartey ho. That's not fair.
Saying so, Shreya left Sid with his frustrated mode on.
On the other hand, Yakshit stood smiling and so did Angela and Vidurshi. All of them were stood awkwardly.
Vi - Okaaay. Ajitha, main tumhe kab se dhoond rahi thi. Main tum logon se baad mein milti hoon.
Vidurshi winks at Angela and leaves the place. Angela stood awkwardly staring at Vidurshi with the corner of her eye. Angela looks at Yakshit who was smiling at her with his teeth showing,
A (disturbed) - Aise ajeeb si smile karna chodoge!? It's disturbing.
Y - Sorry.
A - It's ok. Agar kuch baath nahi karna hai toh main jaa'oon.
Y (rushed) - Nahi. Tumhe kuch deyna tha.
Yakshit takes a small box from his pocket seeing which Angela looks surprised. He opens it to show a bracelet with the same pattern of flowers.
Y - Tumharey liye.
Angela picks up the bracelet and touches the flowers one by one feeling emotional.
Y - Jab bhi tum emotional hoti ho, yahi flowers ke paas jaati ho na.
Angela nods her head,
[Flash back]
Utkarsh makes Angela touch the flowers which makes her smile. Every time she was upset thinking about her disease, she went near those flowers and touched them which made her less depressed.
[Flash back ends]
Y - Aaj ke baad tumhe bhaagke uss plant tak jaana nahi padhega.
Angela gives a small emotional laugh and suddenly realises,
A - Yeh sab tumhe kaise patha? Tum mujhe stalk kar rahe ho.
Angela stares at Yakshit who gives a sheepish look. She keeps the bracelet back in the box
A - I can't take this.
Y - Par kyun? Maine toh itney pyaar se ley aaya tha.
A (angry) - Pyaar se? Tum hote kaun ho mujhe gift deyney waale? Tum mere junior ho. That's all. Main tumse gift wagera le nahi sakti. Sorry.
Y (scared) - Itni khabraaney ki kya zaroorat hai? Bracelet hi toh hai. Koi bomb nahi.
A - Listen.
Y - Arey. Jab koi dilse kuch deytey hai le lena chahiye. I mean aise wishes aur prayers hi hai jo insaan ko khush aur sahi salaamat rakgti hai. So. Please.
A - Fine.
Angela takes the gift with a disheartening look. Vidurshi who was standing in the corner was waiting for Yakshit to leave. As he leaves, she pounces on Angela from back,
Vi (teasing) - So.. Kya hua?
A (irritated) - Kuch bhi nahi.
Sh - Vidurshi.
Angela and Vidurshi turn back to see Shreya.
Sh - Hi. Tum log dorm jaa rahe ho?
Vi - Haan.
Sh - Main bhi saath aathi hoon.
A (laughing) - Ismey permission leney ki kya baath hai.
As the start walking, Shreya looks at the pendant on Vidurshi's neck while Vidurshi looks the box in Angela's hand.
Vi - Box mein kya hai?
She takes it from Angela's hand and sees the bracelet.
Vi - It's so pretty. Hain na Shreya?
Sh - Ya.
Vi - It looks really cute.
A - Toh tum raklo na.
Vi - Pagal ho? Jab koi tumhe gift deyta hai woh kitna bhi kharab ho usse rakhlena chahiye. Aur yeh toh itna pretty hai. Agar kissiney mujhe gift diya toh main usse kabhi kisiko nahi doongi. Jisney diye uskey paas bhi nahi.
Shreya gave a funny look suggesting that this line literally spoiled her plan of getting back the pendant from Vidurshi,
Sh (to herself) - Great.
Vi - What Shreya?
Sh - I mean, Correct.
Vi - So Angela, isse apney paas hi rakhna.
Vidurshi puts on the bracelet on Angela's hand and smiles. Angela looks at the bracelet and shrugs her shoulder uncertainly.

Next morning, Vidurshi walks into the dorm bathroom with a towel humming "moh moh daage" music. She looks at the mirror and realises that she still had the chain on her. She takes it off and keeps it on a shelf outside the dorm bathroom. After Vidurshi leaves, Shreya takes Vidurshi's pendant and replaces it with a similar one. As there were other girls looking at her awkwardly, Shreya leaves the bathroom and outside the dorm. Outside, she goes into an empty washroom. She takes the pendant in her hand and bring it near her mouth and,
Sh (whispers) - Gautam. Mainey Vidurshi se yeh pendant leyliya. Actually, chura liya. You owe me big for this Gee. Aur yeh stupid mic ko disable kardo. The things i have to do for you. Tumharey wajahse se pagalon jaise akeley akeley baath kar rahi hoon. Tum toh mere saath baath kar nahi saktey. Kyun ke tum toh yahan nahi ho.
S - Oh my god.
Shreya takes a sudden turns and keeps her hand back to hide the pendant.
S - Itna hi mujhe miss kar rahi thi toh..
Shreya walked fast towards Sid and kept her hand on his mouth which startled Sid.
Sh (whispers) - Dheerey se baath karo. Koi sun lega.
Sid takes her hand off his mouth but continuous holding her hand.
S (whispers) - Acha!? Par yahan toh koi bhi nahi hai.
Shreya's PoV "Yeh stupid pendant toh hai. Agar Gautam ko patha chalega k main Sid se baat kar rahi hoon, toh gone."
S (whispers) - Waise bhi mere paas aaney ke liye tumhe kisi bahaney ki zaroorat nahi hai. I'm always available for you.
Shreya moves back and frees her hand off Sid's hold and,
Sh (whispers) - Excuse me. Tum hi mere paas aaney ke tareekey dhoondte ho. Tum girls loo mein kya kar rahe ho?
S (whispers) - Mainey tumhe yahan aatey huey dekha (in a romantic tone) tohh main aa gaya tumhare paas.
Sh (whispers) - Ek minute. Main tumse baath nahi kar rahi thi na.
S - Acha. Aisa hai.
Sh (whispers) - Shhh.. Sid chila'o math.
S (whispers) - Toh tumhe mujhse baat karna padhega.
Sh (whispers) - Yeh kaisa black mail hai. Mujhe tumse baath nahi karni hai toh nahi karni hai.
S (shouts) - Toh main chilaa'oonga.
Sh (whispers) - Fine. Fine. Pehley tum bahar ja'o.
S (whispers) - Then tum mujhse wapas baat karogi!?
Sh (whispers) - Haan.
S (whispers) - Promise.
Sid extends his palm forward. Shreya gives an annoyed look and touches his hand unwillingly.
Sh (desperate, whispers) - Haan. Promise. Tum pehley bahar ja'o.
As Sid walks out, Shreya looks around and keeps the pendant above the hand dryer. Shreya opens the door and peeks outside to see if anyone was outside. Sid stares at her from behind and walks out like he has achieved something. Shreya angrily walked towards him and,
Sh - Pagal ho kya? Kisiney dekhliya toh.
She looks at Megha standing with widened eyes.

Sh (angry) - How dare you speak to Sid like that?
