I tried daily EDTs once but I didn't really like the levels of activity on them. Now that our EDTs seem to be a bit more lively, I'm putting this question out to you guys. Carry on with weekly or go on to daily?

Yes, it's more uninterrupted. There's a continuity which wouldn't be there in a daily EDT. Moreover, it's not possible to discuss just one episode without discussion about the previous or the next.
Weekly is better.

IB is definitely an endless tirade of saas bahu, pati patni aur woh, pregnancy, murder and attempted murder, marriage, divorce, remarriage, and whatever other track you name kinda soap.

If our show was on Zee TV, I'm sure we'd have these tracks as well as 150 page long daily EDTs.

When the TRP aunties already have so many channels and soaps to keep them occupied, why oh why do they want to watch a soap that's not even their cup of tea and then convert it so that it's just like any other soap?! 🤢

They don't want to. The CVs want to convert it to attract them. IB was supposed to be about the relationship of the three guys but it only started to get high TRPs when the Shivaay/Anika love story took centre stage. Before that, (young) people were only watching it online which made the TRP low.
