When did Preet get a new mangalsutra? Didn't Raj throw hers in the fire? But for the last few episodes, she's been wearing one. Where did she get it?

Haha OK I tried to Google about the mangalsutra, if you can just replace it when you lose it. However I found some really interesting pages instead, but nothing about replacing it... Confused right now.

Maybe Amrit just got her another one. The way that Preet just pointed to her mangalsutra when she was introducing herself as Mrs Raj Bajwa was weird. I was like but that's not even the one he tied to you!

In another drama, they mentioned getting the design changed for their modern bahu but it was still the same one. First time I've seen someone just replacing theirs.

My mom said...it's not necessary to wear the same mangalsutra which your husband tied to you in marriage. After marriage you can wear any mangalsutra of your choice, it's connect you to your husband only... Now a days working women prefers to wear small mangalsutra which is normally easy to wear in travelling and probably not their marriage mangalsutras...so it's is not an issue anymore...

Aah, thanks for clearing that up. So I guess Amrit just got Preet another one? Still pretty sad that Raj threw the original into the fire...

Apparently the mangalsutra Raj threw into the fire is the same one that Preet wears. At first I thought she was just lying but she always points out that the mangalsutra she wears around her neck is the one Raj put on her. How is this even possible? It should be burnt to a crisp! Plus we can all see that this mangalsutra has a different design to the original one.

How dumb do CVs think we are?

In serail which is at backdrop of diehard punjabis with rural background and leaning towards Sikhism the mangalsutra passion of Preet seems awkward. Presenting my views as a Punjab di jutti and at the same time accepting that this is a serial afterall. Lots of aberrations to be expected!
