I think that's why he hates her. He feels that she is overshadowing him. His ego doesnt let him driven by someone else.

Vasu had the guts to leaveher father and choose her mother which was a big blow for DRS and then to later have her manage the business and house better was something his ego would not let live with. To top not sure if he is faking it but if indeed was Shalini Vasu's mom who shot him then why would he let Vasu take everything from his control to her's
