Not surprised about the TRP - the show has been really slow. Even after a week+ they are still establishing characters with the story in circles. Aliya will do anything to go to kaneda for Harleen and Asmaa will anything to win her dad’s family. That’s the story since leap. If you have seen 2 episodes of the lot, you have seen it all.

@bold: Agreed, I was feeling really bored watching the last week episodes. The makers need to explore Aasma's character (Dadi jaap is not interesting)

Also there's no surety with this show. Last gen, characters kept flipping without any head or tail. Koi bhi kabhi bhi negative ho jate the. No couples to root for or even trustable characters. And there was no idea where the story was heading. This gen, there's not even a clarity about who the fl is. We predict Aasma will be fl because of her similarity to Tejo and all the kismat connection. But in previous gen too Harleen was supposed to be like Tejo and there were hints about Admat being destined couple. We all saw how that went. Saravi needs to hire better writers and give better characterization instead of flipping things in every other episode.

As far as FL is concerned it is quite clear Aasma is the one imo. She has the typical features of a FL which Alia does not have. Alia is grey shaded whereas Aasma is like the epitome of morality lol. I am going from this basis that FL is Aasma. Normally they do not change FL's role in contrast to ML's position.

I also thought they might go for Admat pair which did not happen. After that it was expected Harleen would become grey one day. Afterall, their goal was Nehkam. So Harleen had to be grey some day for that.

The downfall of TRP is the slow pace of the story and repetition of the same drama. Lets see if marriage could save the show. Sometimes hasty decision will not do any good. Thats what happened to Maitree as well. Coming to Udaariyan, they did not properly give an indepth story to Aasma. They are just highlighting Alia's plot. It is as if the story of this generation revolves around negative FL. I just hope they properly explore Aasma's character with a good pace.

I tried to watch this show post leap but leads aren't good. No chemistry between them. Only the actress playing Alia is good.

The biggest problem with this season is the actors.

Also, in my opinion, the actress playing Aasma is very poorly dressed and appears to be from Dadi's era.

Totally agree.

I didn't watch the 1st season. But when I saw an ep from the 2nd season.. actors look fresh and attractive. So I started watching. 😃 this season actors put me off. Also the new actors playing Nehmat and Ekam are boring.😵 new track isn't new , so the whole show is poor.

Lol Yeah her dressing style is so contrast to how she intially wore. It is to show how cultural she is plus how much she wants to get recognized from her family. So it is fine I guess.

But for a person who was born and lived in foreign country (that too in a western country) she does not have any trouble with getting accustomed to Indian culture and the tradition lol. It is as if she was born and bred in India instead. Just because one knows so many things about the culture and knowledge about a country doesn't make that person gets accustomed to all the traditions, rituals and ways of the life of that country so easily. One will find it hard at first. It was shown from Harleen side when she first came to India. She misinterpreted what other folks said because she was new to the country. But for Asma it is so easy for her to mingle as a proper Indian. That is what not natural to me.

Apart from that, I do not feel good chemistry from the lead couple. It may be because they did not have much screen space together. We will have to see after this forced marriage. In terms of acting acting, the leads are okay but Alisha's acting is much better as some of you said. She potrays her emotions and character well.

They should just kill off the ML and bring in a new one, or give him a plastic surgery

Dadi treats Deepak with utter disrespect most of the time and her behaviour with her own son is extreme that it is difficult to understand her annoyance and fury. Thus, her sudden interest in Deepak appear to be so unreal.

Dadi is no different from Harleen.

The pace seems a little better since TRP came out and kicked them. Needs to be even faster until they can establish the story.

Aasma looks like the lead but the focus on Aliya-armaan interaction has nehmat-ekam like bachpan ka pyar hangover. So makes it hard to guess the couple or root for anyone. They need to establish at least one character that the audience can root and care for. Or no one will watch it for long.
