There isn't much difference between Fateh and Vanraj. Except that Fateh didn't sleep with his mistress yet. Otherwise Vanraj also had his own share of good moments. Doesn't change the fact that he is a douchebag and cheated on his wife. These people had many opportunity to redeem Fateh properly. Instead they chose to cling to stupid triangle. Now it is a little late for redemption.

The makers seem least interested in their route and instead want to justify his cheating as a mistake.

That is what pisses me off a lot of times. They try to humanise him without making him actually see the truth or work on it.

vanraj is shown as the villian, here jasmine is shown more of a villian, while fateh is shown as someone who was manipulated, though that doesnt make his mistakes any less.

so, swaying public opinon in favour of fatejo will not be difficult.

fateh took the blame on himself and went to jail, he did not exactly have to help tejo, but he did with jass, so that makes him somewhere in between, but not exactly negative.

it sort of comes down to his mistakes versus his good deeds.

Depends on when you started watching. From the beginning itself his obsession has been evident. He stalked Jasso for 2 years and then tried to kind of force his love as being ibaadat before she supposedly fell for the Canada wala deal where if he gets a job, she is his. Even later he helped Jasso to bhagaofy Gippy on his own accord. Now they have forgotten that and trying to paint him as white.

I wont compare both, but if Fateh had more of a conscience, he would have told Tejo the truth on his own, applied for a divorce and then done whatever the heck he wants to for his true love. Staying married and cheating on his wife while keeping her in the delusion he loves her is pathetic. I am naive, but I dont understand that sentiment.
