And no offence but in today’s tv world, most of the young actors are replaceable for the TRP audience. Even if any character is played by a different actor, the TRP would be the same. Which is what actors like Ankit and Neil need to understand. Buck up and act well because you are easily replaceable if the TRP aunties don’t like you.

I feel like I can't predict TRPs but I guess in an interview Smita Patil had said that women who are suffering like to watch women who are suffering more onscreen because they feel like if that woman can bear it so can they. Explains high TRPs of shows like Anupama, GHKKPM(Sai has bad circumstances) and now UD while romantic shows don't get as much TRPs.
