It's the womanizer tag that bothers me. It's someone who uses women. I'd rather they not label Suraj a womanizer. Doesn't jive with what they've shown us in the past. He couldn't approach his own wife to tell her he loved her!!

What's wrong with the picture here. Of course it's not Suraj's fault. The CV's are stupid!! Period!!

i can see your point but maybe the CVs will justify this image suraj had in college by referring to his upbringing.. lets not forget he was bought up by KNR and Teju who spent majority of their life if not entire life using other people for their own benefit. So suraj was literally bought up in an environment where he thought or should i say was raised in a way to believe that it was normal for rich people like himself to use people and dump them when they are no longer any use to you. He never let his emotions come in the way of this - remember how when imli told him she was pregnant he wasn't the slightest bit moved by the fact that he had fathered a child.. the suraj then and the suraj now are like two different people.

the suraj we see now lets his heart rule over him, while the suraj back in the day always used his head... he never believed in love or care in relationships etc. today he thinks from his heart rather than his mind and since its the first time he's following his heart, he's been shown as a reluctant lover - not knowing how to go about expressing his feelings which explains why he took so long realising his love for chakor and even longer in expressing it - he feared of failing thanks to his feelings... many times he didn't tell chakor fearing she didn't feel the same and he didn't want to fail in front of her... for someone like suraj who was always taught about the importance of winning and hated it when he failed to meet the high marks vivan got in studies, it took him a while to accept that failure is not so bad afterall.

Good points Yuvika. Let's see how the episode turns out. If it's done tastefully than good.

But than, I don't have high expectations from Udaan CV's. They do know how to bungle up a good thing.

but yes even I m planning to catch up with it..but looking at how bad the story was in the initial days I wanted to wait whether it does stabilise..i guess along with the cvs they also stole our costume designers and editors..but got it to give it to them this entire week the cvs are hell bent on showing sukor scenes..they even included sai sir scenes..suraj is all flirty with chakor..( don't think even for a second I m praising the show)..I m at my wits end what to make of it..maybe udaan is trying to poach the cvs back.

the original promo of the show was so hardhitting and awesome i wanted to watch the serial asap. and then actually saw few epis and ran for my life. but if you see the episodes now (seen few scenes) it went for a complete makeover. The girl is feisty but no superwoman. the man is class and is smart. the story is moving somewhere. so the writers are finally doing their jobs. i.e writing a story that sells.

the rival show of udaan on star plus which was way behind our show has not only caught up with Udaan but has beaten it. if you see the last two promos of that show (and they were gorgeous) you would know why.

Udaan is airing Sukor scenes now and i have chanced upon the harman promoting Suraj promo. Suraj saying i won't let love lose or something like that. not sure if it was stand alone promo or attached to the beginning of the show like Chakor will save her marriage one types. i was remote surfing.
so Sukor scenes and promos. the trps should increase substantially next week. if not Cvs should start introspecting. because if love and fluff alone were to sell trps of shows like DMG and co should be tearing through roofs.

and if you check the top shows on the trp chart (not counting Naagin. she alone can bite her opponents out of the way pun unintended).. the shows could be idiotic; i can swear KB is beyond that; but they have strong male leads who are just as much face of the serial as the female lead is. and aren't all over the place.

anyways.. i wish this serial well. from 2.9 once a upon a time to 1.7 is not good at all. something major has gone wrong. time cvs and makers get back to drawing board and brain storm.

edit: and yes bring back our old cvs and editors and costume designers too😆

Thats not over yet...the channel colors have a major drawback that if a show doesnt match expectations for 2 -3 months then the channel itself stops promoting the show,cuts episodes and finally shuts it down especially if it isnt a new show...

Saw them doing the same with matsh,swaragini..i think next in the line is udaan ..

Also with forthcoming shows like ipkknd 3,aarambh...they have to buckle up..

Its really sad to see an actor who failed to get high recognition despite being phenomenal in his work cuz of his fluctuating role..

udaan is still number two show of the channel. (correct me if i am wrong). so it is safe for now. not because it is faring well but because others are doing worse. it is an old horse of a show and the channel will flog it till the end. the only worrying part is...it is taking up prime time slot. and is getting beaten by its rivals.

Star plus is on murderous spree. pruning non performing ones and bringing in brand new ones nearly bursting at seams. it will take whatever it takes to retain the number one slot.
Zee has tightened its belt.
Sony is bringing three new shows.
and then we have colors. struck in a rut; all serials struggling.

Vj is a brilliant actor. he is not getting his due simply because not many hold charitable views about udaan serial and we can't blame them.
just like Shabbir and sriti are fabulous actors but difficult to appreciate their acting prowess if the show is being stupid.
an actor is just as good as his/her show. unfortunate but sad truth.

I missed the Harman promoting suraj promo..i actually thought that it will do good to udaan to do a colab with shakti since it gets high trps..but to be fair udaan had 10001 tracks it could write..and manage to perform well in the trps..at the least be consistent but they chose to take the worst possible path. they screwed up big time.

the channel after seeing the fanatbulous ratings in ishq ka safar and bandhua track has promoted vj and meera and the show( on reality platforms as well)..there was a time when udaan used to get weekly separate promos for it..but unfortunately it was also the same time that they showed whose the daddy track..so even loyal viewers from 3 years cannot come to terms with it..

as for naamkaran your words do encourage me to check it out.

I agree..they promote dsdt swabhimaan shakti like anything..udaan they have come from promos to montages..and the scenes are disjointed..i feel bad for vj as well..i really wanted sukor to win the best Jodi at ita.or gold awrds..but now I don't think they will even be nominated.

No,they are at 3rd position at the moment..(shakti and shani are ahead of them)

Tbh ,kkb solely runs on sriti and shabbir shoulders...and they both r really good too..the show is really lame but the plus point of the show is that they never messed up with relationships ,the ml was never this inconsistent and they have an audience who are ready to accept any crap..but i think both the actors have got huge recognition based on their respective roles whether its awards or fame..

I watched KKB 2 yrs back and nothing has changed and if I watch it for 10 min today i will not feel that i missed anything

Now it seems they have come up with a spinoff for the same...oldies romancing...another 30 mins of torture

DSDT, Swabhimaan are new shows. Shakti is top rated one. so channel will promote them. this channel never promotes a show which is struggling and hence needs promotion the most. i should know. happened with Swaragini.
Awards are rigged anyways. popular ones win. not deserving ones. don't worry over that aisha.
Ishq ka safar worked and so did bandua upto certain point because Suraj and Chakor were on equal footing. gone are the days when bahus ruled and male leads were being props or nonproductive. even Ahem dikra has manned up in Saathiya.
Channel promoted what was selling i.e SuKor and Meejay. and cvs successfully managed to damage half of that equation. strictly speaking for self.
if you watch naamkaran let me know how it is. i would love to catch up with it but hotstar is a pain.

Chasa: i know girl. even if you watch KB 10 years from now on it will still remain exactly the same. take Sriti and Shabbir out and the serial will fold in a moment. they could be popular but Shabbir will always be remember for Rishi or milind more as an actor and sriti for Saubhayawati bhava than KB. KB made them popular but did no favours to their acting capabilities. even their fans admit that these two are wasting their talent in the show.

shani went past Udaan again. thank you for informing. that show is good from whatever i have seen of it.

They wont be nominated..sai sir or maybe meera have a chance but not vj...an inconsistent shoddy role never gets nominated no matter how amazing the actor is..but i hope i am proved wrong..
