barring the mild differences with infidelity part and unfortunately i think Suraj IS bachua no.1 paa... our thoughts are on same frequencies. especially when it comes to Suraj.

What more can I say about the show...

This new inconsistency in Suraj's character is the bottom line for me.

I actually liked Suraj's shyness and I was counting on that as an explanation that he didn't do anything with Imli, but now they have erased this one too.

And he will dance with other girls to make Chakor jealous!!! Hasn't the girl had enough with what he said about what he did with Imli in the car? If this was real, can we even imagine what a pain a woman must feel to hear her husband confessing something like this? How insensitive he must be to start dancing with other girls in front of her after her breakdown from the last episode!

Well, I don't want to say anything more as I don't want to spoil the mood of other people who are still enjoying this character.

I've just realized that today is a year since I've heard that Chakor was going to get married to Suraj (I had an important event then, so I remembered it correctly). The news of Imli being pregnant came before and when I've heard them, I stopped watching the show. But, with the news of the wedding I began watching it again as I said to myself that Imli must be lying. They will not go there! They will not marry the heroine with the man who impregnated her sister and runs away from his baby! So, I kept watching with the hope that the things will change.

After one year, there is nothing in this show that I used to like, so why watching it? Even though I still think that Suraj has a back-up plan regarding Ragni from a very long time, they've changed so much this character that I can't connect with him. Like how could he lie to Paki that he had no girlfriends? I mean, why lie to a child for no good reasons!

Some people tried to explain to me that he was just fooling around in college but no steady girlfriends! Honestly, this is just too deep for me! I don't even want to think what fooling around means, but I guess now we know from where he got that habit of getting cozy in the back-seat of the car.

I said if he had been introduced as a womanizer, there wouldn't have been any problem. But coming up now with this new backstory of multiple girlfriends after showing him as shy and innocent, it looks to me as he is was just being a hypocrite in front of a child.

I am just tired of so many explanations for what it is just sloppy writing.

... Now he is innocent, now had girlfriends... now he says he loves Chakor, now he dumps her for Imli... now he contemplates his future with Imli, now he asks Chakor to marry him...

Enough is enough.

They just didn't have a clear direction for this character post-leap and they kept changing him. I was actually surprised to see him so intelligent post leap as when he was a child, most of his plans flopped.

i guess the episodes are all about Sukor now going by the discussions in the forum. but i can't connect with this. Suraj says he loves Chakor. great! let's agree. but is love enough?
where is the respect? the empathy? the understanding? it is still ALL about him isn't it. i love you and you love me. that's it?
no wonder trps are bleeding. Trps audience can lap any sort of rubbish but not the one which challenges moral values. c'mon we are desis. i don't think any trp aunty as they are derogatorily called think of Imli and Suraj's equation or putting each other over their respective spouses sentiments - cute in whatsoever ways.

and then there is Suraj.
i can write thesis on his inconsistencies but you said it all. so nothing more to add. he simply makes no sense to me.

and is there any woman writer on team cvs? i am amazed that they can be so willfully unaware of the glaring wrongs here.
dancing with other girls to make Chakor jealous and such antics would have been cute if Imli was not living in Suraj's room and staying in his life as mother of his child as he declared. to think of it .. i am a cynic who thinks it is still disrespectful with or without background drama.

when DEPTH is the need of the hour Cvs are aiming for fluff. VJ is a terrific actor and meera is matching him shoulder to shoulder. Sukor episodes must be beautiful. but the general audience don't watch the show for only romance.
where is the story? even if it is dumb, illogical or pathetic.. there has to be some story right? some semblance of consistency in characters; especially the most unique and best loved one. i.e. Suraj?

khair the more of think of this Suraj the faster i will lose inspiration to write story on MY Suraj. so i better zip it.😆.

edit: i think aradhana was right. The makers poached our old cvs and took them to naamkaran. that show was on the verge of shutting down and now it is steadily climbing the charts. seen few bits of it and got to say it is not all over the place. it is actually well thought of and well executed for quite some time.
But Udaan has been all over the place for quite sometime. but if people are enjoying the tracks i am no one to rain in the parade. good luck to the serial. the actors who always gave it all will always have my good will.

How about turning the tables on and showing Chakor was the one fooling around with many boys, then she consummated with Vivaan and had a child with him as well. I wonder if people still jump in to defend her as they do with Suraj, saying that it was just college life and with Vivaan was nothing serious. If it's a rule for one, it should be for everyone. But men can do anything and then they should marry only pure girls.
