woah looks like a missed a lot. as i said i just started watching the episodes and since my focus was primarily SuKor i overlooked lot many other nuances. everytime i saw imli, vivaan or other unwanted specimen my fingers inched towards ff button. did i say inched? may that leapt.
serves me right. lesson learnt. next time i want to give an exam i should read the entire syllabus. i really should go back and start from scratch all over again to get this suraj-imli-chakor equations.
thank you so so much for the clear points and questions priya. new perspective now. and i am now suddenly hit by a new theory. not liking it much but sharing it anyways. let me know what you think of it.
Suraj as a child was an obnoxious bully and a brat. someone i could personally whack for being so vile. the original idea was to make him the villain taking over his father and continuing the fight with Chakor.
the same udaan story as adults.
Chakor versus Rajwanshis.
correct me if i am wrong. VJ played double role in his earlier serial on colors both positive and negative right?
Cvs thought he is the one to take over from the actor playing KN. KN was brought alive menacingly well on screen by SB. the makers needed a terrific actor to fill those big shoes. and hence VJ was brought in. he is a brilliant actor.
Suraj's entry with torturing that inspector (a scene i couldn't even watch) was too cruel even by this serial standards.
he was meant to be a villain.
him and his gun trotting revolver rani imli on one side with strong Chakor and righteous Vivaan on other. (not sure if Suraj was meant to have any soft feelings for Imli though. maybe he was supposed to share some sort of dark attraction for Chakor. would have added edge to the rivalry).
Suraj versus Chakor.
sister versus sister.
and then they got inspired by Swaragini. the tele land usually follow hit formulas. what worked for one is tried by the other hordes. i believe right after SR swap another serial on star plus Tere shaher mein tried the swap formula. didn't work for it.
but did for Udaan.
they swung the bat wildly and to their utter surprise it hit the home run. still they kept the plot confusing to test the waters. just like SR did till that forcible marriage track of Sanskaar and Swara done by Ragini and Laksh trying to stop it.
but when they realized Sukor is the way to go they are now trying to chalao this gaadi on that way.
that's why what started as a baseball match is now looking like cricket coz the entire format has been changed.
but i still hope the makers clear up all the raita that they have failaod in the process of finding the hit formula.
*ummed*.
As stated by Aradhana and others...Suraj Chakor was definitely planned. During the holi episode time in an IV - Meera called Imli a third wheel between her and Suraj and Imli says - no its ok - i have vivaan - this was at a time when imvaan was no where in people's heads.
The fact that Suraj never wanted Chakor to call him bhaiya as a kid...this was maybe planned from the start.
Also as already said - I too think Suraj Chakor chemistry is what caused Meera to be cast as Chakor after Vidhi was chosen for the role. I don't believe Vidhi could have played Chakor...she has a sweet but weak face. Meera got the defiant Chakor look down pat.
I would love it if CVS tied up all the loose ends and that will only happen - if Suraj never was in love with Imli...lets see.
