@Sanya Being a neat freak, I hate quoting long posts, so I'm gonna reply this way.
First of all, thank you so much Sanuuu 🤗 I'm simply bowled over by your lovely analysis! And 48 hours? LOL, that's far too much for anything I write 😆 I'm just beyond flattered though. Thank you ❤️
I'm pleasantly surprised whenever I come across a different interpretation of something I write, especially one as wonderful as yours. The bit about the kid having his eyes just gives you the feeels!
But since the story is based on my understanding of his character (which I know hasn't and won't remain consistent, because this is a daily soap, after all, and characters will be butchered to serve the storyline and bring in ratings), I'm going to write a bit about what exactly I had in mind while writing the whole dream sequence.
When Suraj feels upset after imagining the first few scenarios (ImVaan and Chakor with happy families while he's all alone) he thinks it's because he's jealous/possessive. He thinks he's incapable of feeling anything other than these negative emotions.
So he imagines Chakor alone, like him, longing for a happy family, unlike him (which he's already eliminated as the cause of his sorrow by trial and error, previously having subtracted and added elements in his dream) and finally comes to a realisation.
And no, in this story at least, he doesn't even think for a moment it could be his daughter, because to him, that would be presumptuous.
Also, Suraj never refers to Chakor's daughter as anything but (v/s ImVaan's kids whom he calls a lot of names 😆).
