This excerpt from "Sunflowers" did kind of happen though, so this I don't mind taking credit for 😛
It was a little over a year now that he'd tried to bump off his old man. But Kamal Narayan had no intention of meeting his maker so early. He had resurfaced over a month ago, unbeknownst to all but his second wife. In the interim, he'd somehow managed to make every bit of proof against him disappear and regained control of all his wealth.
