Robert Pattinson Is Getting It On in New Bel Ami Pics

Breaking Dawn's Edward Cullen may only have eyes for one lady, but Robert Pattinson's character in Bel Ami really gets around.

Today we have some new pics from the upcoming period flick, and it's clear that there will be no shortage of steamy scenes in this adaptation of the Guy de Maupassantnovel. Pattinson plays a social climber, Georges Duroy, who moves through the ranks of 19th-century Parisian society by seducing powerful women.

There is some bad news though, to contrast with the yumminess of the new photos. It was rumored earlier that the movie would be released this fall, but now the word on the street is that producers are hoping for a Berlin Film Festival premiere, so that would mean a February 2012 release at the earliest... Since the movie doesn't yet have a distributor, it could be quite a bit later. Here's hoping the star power of Pattinson along with Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, and Kristin Scott Thomas speeds that along.
