Tujh Sang takes a third leap

A one and a two and now a third leap for Star Plus' Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna…

Leaps seem to be the latest thing for Balaji Telefims and Star Plus' Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna …

According to our source "The show is taking a five year leap. The show initially took a three year leap after getting shifted to the afternoon slot. As of now the creative team is working on the script. But suggestive indications imply that the show will focus on Ranbeer, Yug and Vrinda. They all are separated right now and the story will focus on their future."

Adds the source, "The first time they took a leap it was for three years. The same was repeated the second time. But guess the creatives want more so they went for a five year leap this time."

The source further states, "The leap will take place by the end of this month."

Hope the leap is successful in generating TRPs.

Very good friends and co-stars of Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna, Kunal Verma and Puja Bose talk about the year gone by and their plans of welcoming 2010

New Year plans
Puja: I have no plans and I will be welcoming the New Year all alone. I will watch some show, will cook something nice for me and will pamper myself.

Kunal: I was supposed to go to Goa with my friends but had to drop my plans. So now I would be partying in Mumbai but I wish I were in Goa.

New Year resolution
Pooja: I have not made one, if I do, it will be work-related.

Kunal: I want to keep fit.

Habits to give up
Puja: I don't have any bad habits as such though I am a bit lazy and I want to get rid of that.

Kunal: I want to stop having junk food completely. It's really hard to give up but I will try to.

Habits to implement
Puja: I will be more dedicated towards my work and will work harder

Kunal: I want to implement good eating habits so that I remain fit throughout the year.

Memories of 2009
Puja: I have had the fondest of memories. I have enjoyed every single moment shooting for Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna (TSPLS). I have made so many good friends and I have had a great time with them. Even if I do another show, I would miss my co-actors from TSPLS.

Kunal: I think the best day of my life would be the first day of my shoot. The show hadn't even gone on air and we were shooting in Mahabaleshwar. A crowd had gathered there and they wanted me to autograph on their currency notes. Nothing on the earth can beat that feeling.

Things you will miss of 2009
Puja: The one thing I am definitely going to miss is my co-actors, who are not shooting with me anymore.

Kunal: I will miss the number 9 in 2009 (laughs)

Something that you disliked in 2009
Puja: Not being nominated in Indian Telly Awards

Kunal: I think 2009 was one of the best years for me so far. I met some nice people this year.

Lessons learnt in 2009
Puja: I learnt driving (laughs). I think you keep learning all along. I too have learnt my share of lessons.

Kunal: I will make sure I am not over-friendly with everyone because when you befriend someone, your expectations from the person rises and then you are disappointed when they aren't fulfilled.

How have things changed after becoming celebrities
Puja: Earlier, I used to roam like a free bird but now going out is difficult. When you go out with family and friends or when you want to spend some time alone, people come to you and you are expected to talk
to them but honestly I love all the recognition and the praise they shower on me. If they don't watch the show how will it run? I love all my fans.

Kunal: My dressing sense has vastly improved. Earlier I thought wearing blazers and suits to New Year parties is the done thing. My wardrobe used to be full of clothes but never the right kind, so for every party I would end up borrowing them from my friends. Also money was a big problem, had just about a little pocket money. Things have certainly changed and now I think I have a mature and nice dressing style and money is not a problem anymore. But I would always want to be a commoner and welcome the New Year in the most common way possible. Also the one thing that has changed now is you are stripped off your privacy. You can't go out in public places and at times you just want to enjoy like any other person but then again it's a blessing in disguise as no matter where you go, you can be certain of people recognizing you and it feels good to know that.

Three things you want to change about Vrinda and Yug
Puja: I want them to unite on the show. Vrinda is always shouting at Yug, which I don't like at all. They must also show the love the couple has for each other.

Kunal: Yug can't be pleasing others all the time. He can't be generous to all and can't keep sacrificing his desires.

Looking forward to in 2010
Puja: I want to buy my own house.

Kunal: I am looking forward to more work, good and quality work. I want to be with good people. I also want to go on a family holiday to maybe Ladakh. And next year, I will definitely go to Goa to bring in in 2011.

Puja: Thank you so much for loving me and appreciating my work. I love you guys too.

Why Kunal Verma isn't all that 'Bayttaab'

If luck had its way, fans of actor Kunal Verma aka Yug of Tujh sang preet lagayi sajana would have had a reason to rejoice as the actor was all set to do a cameo in Sony's Bayytaab dil ki tamanna hai. However, the deal couldn't materialise as the actor was having trouble with his dates.

Confirming the news Kunal says, "Yes, I was offered to play a three-day long cameo in Bayttaab… which as per my knowledge required me to be paired opposite to the lead of the show but I could not do it. I had date issues as I couldn't manage to squeeze out time from my schedule of Tujh sang….."

According to sources from the show, "Fahad, an actor who is playing one of the sons in Bairi Piya, finally did the role as Kunal was unavailable. This was a three-day old cameo opposite Urvashi Dholakia's daughter."

Kunal's fans may be disappointed but Fahad certainly wouldn't complain.

This telly party was buzzing and how! If you thought saases and bahus and all their saazishes are boring, well, this one proved to be otherwise.

At least at this do, these small screen characters dominated the scene.

It was loads of fun with a large number of telly actors turning up here. Hiten Tejwani and Karan Patel were seen having a blast. Karan Kundra, Kunal Verma, Kratika Kamra, Rashmi Desai, Sara Khan, Ali Merchant, Kinshuk Mahajan, Angad Hasija, Parul Chauhan were present among others.

Lovebirds Sharad Malhotra and Divyanka Tripathi were there too, cootchie cooing in a corner. Nevermind that they choose to say they are 'good friends' even now (is anyone asking anymore?) Black seemed to be the colour of the evening. "You can never go wrong with black!" whispered an actress into another's ears. Ekta Kapoor, dressed in a black number, came in a for a short while. Kamya Punjabi, sporting bright red lipstick, was all smiles.

Rajeev Khandelwal too made a brief appearance at this do. Seema Kapoor, Ali Asgar, Raju Shrivastav were spotted among others.

Kis Des & Tujh Sang to go off air
Buzz up!

Two shows running on Star Plus Kis Desh and Tuj Sang will be ending in the first week of February.

Star Plus' two shows Tuj Sang Preet Lagai Sajna and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, both running in the afternoon slot are slated to go off air.

An Indya source tells us "It's the channel's decision to wrap up the shows, well there are speculations that the TRP of both the shows were not that satisfactory, so they told the Balaji officials to wrap up the shows. So Tuj Sang is slated to go off air in the first week of February, and the last airing date we hear is February 5th, even Kis Des will also wrap in the month of February."

We spoke to Anil Nagpal, writer of Kis Des Main…., who said, "I have heard the rumors that the show will wrap up but I haven't got any official confirmation from Balaji."
Later, we sent a sms to Harshad Chopra, but he didn't reply us back while Additi Gupta aka Heer said, "No idea, but I heard the rumors too."

We spoke to Kunal Verma aka Yug of Tujh Sang, who said, "Yes it's unfortunate that Tuj Sang Preet is going off air and I am going to miss the whole cast and crew of the show. This show was on air for more than one year and it was well appreciated by the audiences. I do not know the reason and I have not asked the reason. The shooting of the show will wrap up by 28th January and the last episode will be aired on 5th February. It was nice working with Ekta, who gave me my first break."
