Yasir Shah in Tuj Sang...
11 August 2009 | 10:44pm 31 Comments

Yasir Shah is back, and will be seen in a cameo role in Star Plus' Tuj Sang Preet...

Yasir Shah of Khwaish fame is back on television, and will be entering Star Plus' Tuj Sang Preet Lagai Sajna for a cameo role.

According to our source, "The character name is Siddharth who is the friend of Ashish (Mayank Gandhi). As per the track, there will be a big fight between Vrinda and Ashish; and this is when Siddhath enters to solve matters between them".

When contacted, Vikas Goopta Creative Director of the show said, "Yes, Yasir Shah is doing a cameo in Tuj Sang. He is now back from Pakistan, and we shot with him yesterday, a high voltage drama sequence, and the role is tailor-made for him".

We called up Yasir who expressed his happiness at being back with Balaji Telefilms. "It's a great honor to be back with Balaji. As of now, my role is a cameo and I am happy doing it. I hope viewers will give me the same acceptance as they gave me before".

Yasir had been missing from action on Indian Television for a long time now. "I am doing some shows in Dubai as of now; but if things materialize, I may appear on Indian screens again with a daily dose", he further adds.

The actor was last seen in 9X' Jiya Jale..

We hope and pray that Yasir gets to be seen more and more on Indian television..

Goodbye Ganpati Bappa...
03 September 2009 | 11:46am 12 Comments

Its visarjan time and while its all fun and frolic when we make our way towards the waters, like always this goodbye too tends to end up being bittersweet.

When the beloved Lord Ganesha bids adieu after adorning our homes with his graceful presence, we tend to feel a void.

Our telly stars too share their similar feelings with us on the occasion of Anant Chaturthi, the last day of celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. The day follows the immersion of the idols of the beloved Lord, but to be welcomed the next year with equal fervor.

Shubhangi Atre:

Will you miss the festive atmosphere and the presence of Lord Ganesha's moorthi after the visarjan?
Yes definitely. We bring Ganpathi Bappa for three days and its such a beautiful atmosphere at our place and when we come after Visarjan the house becomes so dull and we wish that Ganpathi Bappa should come early at our place next year.

Have you set any goals for yourself that you want to achieve before Ganpati bappa makes his presence felt next year?
I have decided to work harder and try to make myself an established actor in this industry.

Any wish that you had asked Ganpathi Bappa this year?

Ganpathi Bappa had already given me so many things; he has blessed me with a cute beautiful daughter. I just asked Ganpathi Bappa this year to make me successful, so that people will know me as a good actor.

Puja Bose:

Will you miss the festive atmosphere and the presence of Lord Ganesha's moorthi after the visarjan?
Yes obviously it's the biggest festival in Mumbai and bringing Ganpathi Bappa home is full of excitement and happiness.

Have you set any goals for yourself that you want to achieve before Ganpati bappa makes his presence felt next year?
Yes a successful career.

Any wish that you had asked Ganpathi bappa this year?
It's personal, but yes I had definitely wished for a successful career.

Angad Hasija:

Will you miss the festive atmosphere and the presence of Lord Ganesha's moorthi after the visarjan?
Yes. Actually I had only heard about this parting sadness, but this year I'm personally experiencing it. We bring Ganeshji amidst a lot of singing and dancing. All the time that he is there, many relatives come over and the atmosphere never has a dull moment. But after the Visarjan the whole house feels empty.

Have you set any goals for yourself that you want to achieve before Ganpati bappa makes his presence felt next year?
To give my best towards my work.

Any wish that you had asked Ganpathi Bappa this year?
Lots of happiness.

Arjun Bijlani:

Will you miss the festive atmosphere and the presence of Lord Ganesha's Moorthi after the Visargan?
Yes, obviously. When Ganpati is there, we are awake at night doing lots of pujas and other activities. We are kind of charged up at all times. But after the visarjan there's always a little heartache.

Have you set any goals for yourself that you want to achieve before Ganpati bappa makes his presence felt next year?
Yes, I'll be working towards buying a larger house.

Any wish that you had asked Ganpathi Bappa this year?
Yes, to bless me so that I can achieve my goals.

Pallavi Subhash:

Will you miss the festive atmosphere and the presence of Lord Ganesha's Moorthi after the visarjan?
Yes I will. Both Ganeshji and Durgaji's idols are kept at our Naani's place. During the whole time that they are at our place, the whole atmosphere becomes divine. And after their visarjan we definitely feel that there's something missing in the house.

Any wish that you had asked Ganpathi bappa this year?
Well, I made a wish to Ganpati bappa that all the havoc created by the bomb blasts, recession etc. may be erased. And that everybody's lives be restored to peace.

Have you set any goals for yourself that you want to achieve before Ganpati bappa makes his presence felt again next year?
Yes, my goal is to have a successful career.

Sameer Dharmadhikari:

Will you miss the festive atmosphere and the presence of lord ganesha's moorthi after the visarjan?
It's a very nice feeling when we go for visarjan. But after the gaana-bajaana is over we are all with tears in our eyes. So yes, I guess we all miss the good feeling once the festivities are over.

Any wish that you had asked Ganpathi Bappa this year?
Ganpathi Bappa has given me so many things. I'm lucky because he automatically has granted me many things even before I ask for them.

Have you set any goals for yourself that you want to achieve before Ganpati bappa makes his presence felt again next year?
No fixed goal. I'm just praying that my show Jhansi ki Rani which is currently on air should be appreciated by people as everyone is putting 100 percent to make the show a success.

Telly Buzz wishes its readers for a great future, and leaves you with the thought, 'Ganpati Bappa Moriya Agle Baras Tu Jaldi Aa'....

Kunal Verma : Crackers are one thing that you miss. Obviously, as you grow old you don't want to create noise pollution. I miss my school days when my friends used to burst crackers inside the school in the hope that the principal would give us half day off. I was seldom the one who burst crackers but it was good fun to roam with those guys. When we managed to get half-day, we used to roam around town. Earlier, I used to get in the festive spirit from the first day of Diwali month. The fun even continued after it. Unfortunately, today I can no longer experience that feeling as I'm shooting for most of the days. It's only Diwali day when you get an off.

Pooja Bose aka Vrinda of Star Plus show Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna, who debuted by playing Ekta Kapoor's Radha in Kahani Hamare Mahabharata Ki is very happy and content with all the success which she has got from this show. This Kolkata based girl speaks about the latest leap in her show and more.

Show taking leap
I am very glad that my show is taking yet another 5-year leap and I am excited and looking forward to it. Now the track will be focused on me, Yug and Rajbeer and later on Vrinda and Yug. I am happy that the show has completed 1 year and it was a memorable journey for all of us."
Your favourite moment from the show?
With this leap, I would like to share some of my fine moments in the show. I still remember we started shooting last November and it was too cold in the morning to shoot my solo for the show. Then our accident which I will never forget but we manage to shoot the serial still and there are many more moments to share."
Which character is close to you, Radha or Vrinda?
"I think it will be Vrinda as compared to Radha. Vrinda is more similar to me, who is very well-cultured and at the same time she is very traditional, while Radha is more mythological and was limited in her act."
What kind of feedback you are getting from the show?
"Well it is good and now people are recognizing me more as Vrinda because they can relate to this character on the reality ground and so I am enjoying this show."
Do you get any feed back from Ekta Kapoor?
"I get lot of feed back from her, either she calls me to tell about my performance or she gives a surprise visit on the sets of the show to tell me more about the scene. For me she is an idol and I am thankful to Ekta ma'm who gave me my first break in her show. All her feedback is welcome whether it's positive or negative."
On the personal front, where do you shop?
"I love to shop at Hill road, Bandra and at Manish market, and Andheri. I can carry both traditional and casuals.as well as slawar kameez with good embroidery, while in casuals I like jeans.
Which holiday destination you have visited recently?
Recently I visited with my close friends a place called Lavasa which is near Pune. I would like to say that people who love to travel should visit this place."
In the TV fraternity, who are your favourite actors?
"I like Mrunal (who played Krishna in Kahani Hamare Mahabharat Ki); he is a very co-operative co-actor apart from him I like Rakshanda Khan and Smriti Irani."
What message would you like to give to your Indya fans?
"Well! Keep watching my show and thank you for all love and support. God Bless all my fans."

Another leap in Tujh Sang...
83 Views 3 Comments Share To This Discuss Story ! Videos Photos Print

Star Plus and Balaji's venture Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajana is all set for yet another leap in the show to boost the TRP's. Soon in this month, viewers will see some new faces too in the serial.

"Yes the show will be taking a leap where in the kids of Pooja will grow up and even I may get a new girl opposite me too but that's not sure. It would be better if you ask the creative of the show," states Kunal Verma.

Elaborating on the leap, the actor explains, "We all will not grow old but will have just one white hair (laughs). There is lots of drama stored in for the viewers but they have to wait for a while."

Alongside the show has recently completed one successful year. "The show got a chance and we all proved ourselves. It had to be on air as the story is good and we too are doing a good job. Also our viewers ship is more than any other channel at the noon time slot which is again a plus point for the show to continue," he utters.

"Even the show has got an extension till April and we have a lot to play around. Definitely the serial will end and I too believe it should have a proper conclusion but that can be only said by the time. The day when the viewers stop liking, the production will take the decision."

Kunal is too happy to be part of Balaji and wants to continue its stint with the same. "I have got many offers from outside this production house but I want to be with Balaji only as it has given me so many things in one year. All I would like to say is that I'm happy that people love us as at the end the TRP's does not matter but the viewership and fan following. I just want to thank all my fans for their support," concludes the actor.

We tried calling Pooja for the same but could not reach to her.

Let the time only decide the fate of the show and see of whether the next leap will give more oomph to the popularity or not.
