Kanak tried to walk away but was pulled back, they bumped hips with Kanak, trapping her between their arms they span as Kanak nearly fell

Letting her go she tumbled forward and was dragged back again, Meena stepped forward twirling her around and dipping her as she laughed

Yanking Uma up, he glared as Kanak was pushed into him and the song was changed

Golu spun Rani around as he bent upon one knee infront of her, she laughed
Uma stood still
"You cant let them win son, show them how good you are" shouted Revati who winked at Santosh

Picking Kanak up, he walked around, before putting her down, pushing her back he grabbed her hand and yanked her back

Wrapping his hands around her waist, he dipped her and brought her back up then spun her around

Rani and Golu moved away quickly as the plan had worked
Kanak got ready to walk away, Uma slid on his knees infront of her to stop her

Picking up her foot he rested it on his leg as his fingers slowly went up her leg till she drew back, knocking his head against her leg
She laughed again and went to walk away

Standing up he pulled her back against his chest as they swayed, Kanak rested her hands around his neck as she turned to face him, shoving his shoulder back she laughed again as she walked away

Uma walked around her, holding her hand he pulled her so her chest hit his, grasping her waist he pulled her around with him fast then pushed her back, smirking

Kanak gasped in fake shock as she rested a hand on his shoulder and walked around him, nudging him she winked "Ziddee Admi "
Uma went to grab her but she ducked and laughed

Walking behind her he whispered in her ear "Toh palat"
As Kanak turned to face him, she saw her phone light up with a message

Ziddee Admi : ;)

Kanak smiled as he walked upstairs
Santosh and Revati high fived, their plan had worked

Part Eleven-

Uma was signing some paper work when his assistant came in

"Sir, theres that party tonight, will you be going alone"
Revika pushed the door open

"No, Kanak will be going with him, she should be shown how things are around here"
"But Maasa, its not a place for a girl like her, she will only embarass me "

The assistant stepped out of the way to show Kanak looking at Uma with a confused look

"I even got Kanak a dress, so she can wait here with you till its time to get ready and leave"
Uma opened his mouth to reply but Revika's glare shut him up

Revika left, calling Santosh "Ive got them to go to a party together "
Santosh laughed and congratulated her

Kanak went to go and change, walking out of the bathroom she went back to the office

Uma looked up in shock, like he couldnt stay away from her, he stood up and walked closer to her

Pushing the hair out of her face, he watched as she closed her eyes

Clearing his throat he stepped away, looking at his watch he signalled it was time to leave

Uma glanced at Kanak "Got nothing smart to say today"
Kanak frowned again, why was he so bitey today?

Maybe this was his way of making jokes?
"Do you even want to go to this party with me"

"No, I know your plan, you come back after all these years when I am rich and powerful, I know what you want from me and it isnt friendship "
Uma missed the hurt in Kanaks eyes as he pulled over outside the party

Sighing she pushed the car door open, tonight was going to be a long night
But she was firm in her belief that she could turn this around

Part Twelve-

Kanak walked in, watching Uma sip on a drink, his eyes looked heavy

As she arrived next to him, he grabbed her hand "This is a girl that will do anything for money, any takers"

Kanak tried to pull her hand back but to no avail, lifting her hand she slapped him as he let go

Slamming his drink down he walked out
Rubbing her wrist, she had no idea what had gotten into him

Kanak went to follow him when a man grabbed her "Ill give you all the money in the world for a bit of your time"

Pulling her into a corner, she could smell the alcohol radiating off him, leering at her he laughed as he shoved her into the wall

Ripping her sleeve, she cried as he shoved her onto the floor of the balcony

Grabbing her chin he yanked her up, throwing money at her, she bit into his hand

Slapping her across the face, he missed the man watching in the shadows

All at once Uma had grabbed the man, punching him, he held him over the ledge of the balcony

"I will kill you for ever touching her again, you know who she is, shes mine"

Kanak's eyes widened at Uma's anger

The man twisted over, trying to push Uma over the ledge, succeeding he ran away

"Uma, Uma dont let go"
Kanak grabbed his hand, pulling as hard as she could

Eventually getting him over the rail he fell ontop of her, his hand protecting her head

"Kanak I"
Shoving him up she pulled away "I just want you to take me home"
Nodding he went to help her up but she ignored his hand and walked to the car

Pulling his blazer off he pulled it over her shoulders

Kanak was dizzy with his constantly changing behaviour, pulling open the car door for her she sat inside

"Arent you going to sing, shall I put the radio on"
Kanak shook her head

"Kanak I just want to say im "
Putting her hand up she stopped him

"Sorry? Are you though, because what you just did there was no reason for it, what would have happened if you werent there"

Uma didnt even want to think about that, stopping the car he watched her get out and walk into her house, never turning back

As Uma pulled away, Kanak moved from behind the door and watched him

"Why are you trying so hard to be away from me Uma, I know you have missed me"

Sighing she walked up to her room

Part Thirteen-

THIS IS A FLASHBACK CHAPTER FROM UMA'S PERSPECTIVE, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE CURRENT HAPPENINGS IN THE STORY

Kanak sat on the floor, crying.
"Kanak, what happened"

Sniffling she wiped her eyes "That mean boy shoved me and I hurt my knee"
Uma pulled Kanak up

"Let me go find him"
Kanak shook her head "No, please"
Uma nodded

Sitting her down he wet a paper towel, cleaning her knee
"Lets play a game"

Kanak huffed "I dont want to"
"Puhleeaseee Kanak"

Kanak agreed, "What game"
Tapping his chin, he pulled her up

"Wear this blindfold and come and find me"
Kanak walked around, hands out, trying to find Uma, when the lights went out

Kanak ripped off her blindfold "Hello, hello Uma im scared"

Kanak ran until she bumped into a tall figure "Papa"
Sooraj laughed "Youre okay Kanak, open your eyes see the lights back on now"

Uma stood awkwardly in the corner, Sandhya beckoned him over

Kanak pouted "Uma never says sorry, he doesnt know how to"

"Hmm" Sandhya said as she looked toward Sooraj

"I have an idea, when you make a mistake, and you cant say sorry, find something else to make her happy"

"Like what Sandhya Aunty"
Sooraj bent down , whispering in his ear

Smiling he ran upstairs
After about half an hour he came back downstairs with something behind his back

Handing it to Kanak, she opened the card to see a small mirror
Confused she looked up

"Kanak, when youre sad you dont look as beautiful and when I am annoying I make you sad and I dont want you to not look beautiful so when I make mistakes just look in the mirror and smile because that way you will know I made a mistake and didnt mean to upsett you because I dont want you to be ugly"

Kanak smiled into the mirror, wrapping her chubby hands around his arm she smiled
Sooraj and Sandhya ruffled their hair as they walked away

END OF FLASHBACK

Uma had an idea on how to make it up to Kanak

Part Fourteen-

Kanak was sat in Revati's house when her phone lit up

Ziddee admi: Look in the mirror! I often make mistakes and I know im not good at saying sorry but I hope youll understand what I mean

Kanak smiled, she had already forgiven Uma but wanted to make him wait

Clearly he had no idea where she was

Pagli: Not sure I understand?

Uma huffed, picking up his phone he called her

"Hello Kanak I"
Kanak tried not to laugh as Revati signalled for her to put it on speaker

"You what Uma"
"Look Kanak, my behaviour wasnt okay, I guess trusting people isnt easy and I just thought the worst"

Revati patted her leg as she walked out of the room to give her privacy
"Uma, im not here to get your money, I just wanted to see you, I sent you so many letters and"

Gulping he stood up "Letters? You sent me letters"
"Yes, atleast once a week and you never replied"

"Kanak, i never got them"
Frowning she cut off the phone, walking to his room

"What do you mean you never got them, I sent them here"
Uma suddenly pulled open a drawer , sifting through it

He pulled a bunch of letters wrapped in an elastic band
"I never opened them because I thought it was just rubbish"

Scrunching up her face she sat down as she waited for him to open them

Kanak was nearly falling asleep when hid voice awoke her
"Wow you talk a lot, I should have read them and for that im "

Kanak nodded "Sorry I know"
Uma smiled "So am i forgiven "

Kanak smiled cheekily, pulling off her scarf "Sure, if you can find me"

Tying it around his eyes she ran out
