Uma stood up slowly as Kanak watched him carefully

He grabbed onto the cupboard, knocking the pebbles onto the floor

Giggling she walked behind him
Shiv pushed open the door

Kanak put her fingers to her lips
Shiv nodded and ran towards Kanak

Accidentally standing on her foot she hissed

Turning quickly, he grabbed her yanking her forward
His arm strong around her waist as her hair toppled down her back

"Got you"
Kanak's breathing was heavy at being in such close proximity to him

Shiv smiled as he walked out
"Shiv no, dont leave me with this rakshas"

Uma ripped of his blindfold "rakshas"

"Uh I mean"
"So im forgiven"

Nodding she tried to pull back as she toppled and they fell onto the bed

Revati and Santosh pulled the door open
"Well, we always say to keep these moments in the bedroom"

Revati laughed "We shall leave you in peace "
"Maasa, Bhaboo its not what you think"

Both said in unison as they tried to get up they fell again, Kanak's head hitting his chin

Pushing him off her he rolled onto the floor with a thump and Kanak ran out

Groaning he pulled himself up
"Ay Pagli, im not done with you"

Santosh grabbed Kanak "Hey your love is calling you"

Kanak put her hands together
"No please dont make me go back there"

Santosh laughed, pushing her back
"Bhaboo please"

Uma came out of his room, Kanak grasped her ears "Im sorry, im sorry, ill do anything"

Smirking he raised his eyebrow "anything huh"

Any ideas what Uma will ask of Kanak?

I hope he asks for something outrageous.. something different.. unlike uma xxx

Kanak held the box in her hand, putting it down she huffed
"Uma theres no key"

Smirking "Well if you want the key youll have to work out what I want in return"

Gulping she stood up "But I dont know what you want"
Grasping her chin he made her look into his eyes

"You have 24 hours to work out what I want to get the key"
"I uh I"

Leaning closer she closed her eyes
"Not so confident now hm"

Kanak shoved him back as she ran out the room
Uma twirled the key around in his hand

"Oh pagli, i hope you get this right"

Kanak had just finished making halwa, she watched as Uma ate it

Waiting anxiously she sighed as he finished it
Standing up he pushed her hair behind her ear "Nice, but not what I want"

Kanak slumped into her chair
Shiv sat next to her "Kanak why dont you try something from your childhood"

Kanak ruffled his hair "ive got it"
Running over to Uma he grasped her as she nearly fell

"Is it something to do with our childhood, remember"
Uma put his finger over her mouth
"Not even close"

"Uma then I dont know and ive wasted hours thinking, theres only like 2 hours left"

Shrugging Uma walked away

Kanak looked at the clock, Revika sat next to her
"Whats worrying you"

Kanak explained her situation
Revika nodded
"Have you ever considered that youre not just Uma's friend anymore "

Kanak's jaw dropped "I am, I am his best friend "
Revika shook his friend "Maybe youre more than that"

Furrowing her eyebrows "So like a sister"
Revika laughed, shaking her head "No, not a family relationship, maybe he wants more"

Kanak was clueless , once again

Kanak knocked on Uma's bedroom door "I still have no idea"

"You know I really want you to open that box so ill give you a hint"
Kanak didnt realise how close Uma was to her

Stepping back she fell into him, his fingers cold as they traced letters on her arm
"Close your eyes"

Kanak did as she was told
"What letter is this"

Uma traced a K on her arm
"Uh K"

Uma nodded "and this "
Kanak thought for a second "I"

Pulling forward she shoved him "You want me to KILL"
Her eyes looked around as she whispered


"Kill somebody"
Uma couldnt help but laugh

Grabbing his shoulders she shook him "This is a serious matter, im no murderer , I cant go to prison, why are you laughing, why are you looking at me like that, my mother arrested murderers, then she will arrest me, oh no she would be so ashamed, watching me from up there"

Kanak's eyes widened as she felt Uma press his lips to hers, moaning softly she brought him closer as she allowed herself to fall into the kiss

As Uma pulled away, he watched as she still squeezed her eyes shut
"Not to kill anyone, I wanted you to kiss me"

Putting the key into her hand, he folded her fingers over it and walked away

Kanak sat down infront of the box in her room, fiddling with the key

Pushing the key in she unlocked it, opening the box , pulling the lid open she picked up the pictures and read the note

"Every year, on your parents anniversary I would go and leave them a message, I never forgot our friendship and I know you couldnt get to the funeral, so here are the petals of the flowers I left there, some pictures of their gravestones and a voucher for flowers for when you go to see them, theyre expecting you"

Kanak's eyes brimmed with tears as she picked up her phone and dialled his number

"Hello Kanak "
"Uma I"

As her voice broke she began to sob
"Kanak, hey whats wrong, are you hurt Kanak"

Kanak couldn't speak as she continued to cry
Uma slipped his shoes on and quickly made his way to her house

"Im coming Kanak, just stay on the phone"

As Kanak saw Uma walk into her house, she dropped her phone and ran towards him

Nearly knocking him back she wrapped her arms around his neck, digging her face into his neck she held him tightly

Wrapping his strong arms around her waist he lifted her slightly, taking in her strong scent of chandan that he had missed so much

"Thank you, thank you so much"
Kanak murmured into his shoulder

"Pagli, youre crying over the box, I was so worried"
Resting his hands on her face, he made her look at him

"They would be so proud of you"
Kanak looked up at him smiling

3 words sprung around her mind, she wanted to say them so very badly

But not yet, not until she was sure

Revati sat to the table, running her hand on her chest she heaved a sigh as she closed her eyes hissing in pain

Kanak dropped her bag as she saw Revati in pain
"Maasa, Maasa"

"Pani" Revati whispered as Kanak ran to the kitchen

Revati gripped onto the table as she fell to the floor
Kanak slammed the glass down as she ran over "Maasa, maasa hold on, just stay with me please I will get help"

Kanak picked up her phone, tears poured down her face as she realised her phone was broken from dropping it last night

Running out she grabbed the housephone
"Uma, Uma come home its Maasa she"

Uma turned the car around swiftly and drove back home as fast as she could

Running in he helped Kanak put Revati in the car

Lying her head on Kanak's lap Uma zoomed as fast as he could till he arrived at the hospital

As Revati was wheeled into the ICU
Uma faltered as he sat down

Kanak grasped his hand as Uma cried
"I never told her how much I loved her, I cant lose her Kanak, I cant"

Pulling him to her she held him tight, she had to be strong for him

It was a few hours later when Uma had fallen asleep on Kanak's shoulder

Kanak tried to get up when his eyes opened
"Please dont leave me I cant lose you to"

"I wont, I never will"
Grasping his hand she waited for the doctor to talk to them

Kanak and Uma walked into Revati's hospital room

She was out of danger now, as she pulled her oxygen mask down

"Uma I have no idea how long I will have"
Shaking his head he went to stop her

"No, let me speak , I want you to be happy and not lonely , I want you to marry Kanak, youre a perfect match and I know you will look after eachother"

Uma looked at Kanak
"Maasa I"
Revati shook her head

Grasping Kanak's hand she put it over Uma's

The duo looked at eachother as they nodded
Allowing Revati to rest they walked out

"Look I dont want to pressure you if this isnt what you"
"I do, I do want this"
Uma smiled as he pressed a kiss to her forehead


It was 2 days later when Revati was allowed home, Uma had taken a few days off work to stay with his mother


His phone rang as he picked it up
"Maybe you should consider that Kanak made your mother have a heart attack so she could marry you, gold diggers never change"

Cutting the phone Uma fumed with anger
Akash smiled as he put the phone down
"That will teach you for firing me"


Uma walked over to Kanak, grasping her arm he squeezed her bangles as they cut into her arm

"I know your type and you will never change, you want a marriage, lets go get married but I will ruin your life"
