CONCEPT & STORY

This is a story about a middle class girl named Kasturi and her struggle to protect her family's legacy.

The story of her dreams and aspirations which are so closely intertwined with her family. The ambience is pure Delhi. Kasturi's father has a saree shop in Chandni Chowk. Kasturi is born in a middleclass Punjabi family. She is bright, intelligent, chirpy, bubbly and loves to have Puchkas in Karol bagh right on the street. She is a girl who finds happiness even in the smallest and simplest of things.

The story opens with Kasturi, rushing to the temple early morning - even as the family gets up to the morning chores - to get the priests blessing as her result is about to be declared. Kasturi is humble and polite but innately very strong - who's fighting to forge her own identity.

Remember, Kasturi is not the typical hep, outgoing girl - Her beauty is in her simplicity and her respect for tradition. She is not averse to carrying the Hanuman Chalisa on her maiden job interview. But it is the same discipline and inherent strength that enables her to stand up and fight. Her mother is at par with God for her, as she takes her blessing before the Lord's.

The family thinks and believes that there is no need for the lady of the house to work but Kasturi subtly protests against this idea- as she creates her own mark in this world. The results of the University come out and Kasturi graduates with top honours from the University. Kasturi's father who was earlier not opposed to her carrying on with her education, suddenly changes his mind as he is afflicted by Engina.

From this juncture starts the real struggle. The family wants her to marry but Kasturi wants to do something in her life. Unknown to the family Kasturi begins to work at a firm. From here the trials and tribulations, the vicissitudes of life begin to emerge through which Kasturi forges her identity.

CAST & CREW

Chawla Family:-

Bauji (S M Zaheer)
He is the head of the family, he is strict & has two sons Vishesh & JP who is addressed as Lalaji by everyone. He believes that his granddaughters should not work. He gets angry when he founds out that Kasturi working.

Beegi (Kanika Shivpuri)
Bauji's wife who considers Kasturi as Ghar Ki Lakshmi.

JP aka Lalaji (Sanjay Taneja)
Baujii & Beeji's eldest son he has three daughters-Kasturi, Tannu & Navneet. He runs a saree shop at Chandni Chowk in Delhi & is a heart patient. He disowns Kasturi after she marries Robbie but later forgives her.

Kaushalya Chawla (Rupa Ganguly)
Kasturi's mother, she is very supportive & have always stood by her husband in bad times. She is a great pillar strength for Kasturi.

Kasturi Chawla (Shubhangi Atre)
Born in a middle class Punjabi family, Kasturi is a graduate. She is bright, intelligent, chirpy, bubbly & loves to have Puchkas in Koral Bagh right on the street. She is a girl who finds happiness even in smallest & simplest of things. She is also an ambitious person in life but doesnot forget her traditions. To get money for her father's treatment she starts working at Sabharwal company as Robbie's secretory with whom she falls in love but marries Raunak. She marries Robbie to take revenge as she thinks he killed Raunak but falls for him.

Tannu Chawla (Madhurima Tuli)
Kasturi's sister who dreams big. She is in love with Ariv but marries Vikas but eventually falls in love with him.

Navneet Chawla (Sai)
Kasturi's other sister who is a tomboy.

Vishesh Chawla (Raja Sevak)
Lalaji's brother married to Alka & has four sons out of which Ajay is the eldest & other one is Tiku.

Alka Chawla (Priya Arya)
Vishesh's wife whose main grouse is that the family business is controlled by JP's family. Having come from a rich family Alka wants to control the family & have a say in everything. She can't bear to see Kasturi in love with a rich guy & leaves no stone unturned to put JP's family down.

Ajay Chawla (Prabhat Bhattacharya)
Vishesh & Alka's eldest son who gets married to Pooja. He loves her sister Kasturi alot. He is the only one earning in the family.

Pooja Chawla (Amita Chandekar)
Pooja is an ambitious girl. Though she belongs to a middle-class family she dreams big and wants to be in the company of rich people. Her job as Robbie's secretary was her ticket to mingle with the rich and famous. She has an affair with Robbie's sister's husband Nikhil. She lost the job & holds Kasturi responsible for it. She gets married to Ajay to take revenge from Kasturi.

Tiku Chawla (Tiku Sharda)
Vishesh & Alka's other son, he always imitates bollywood stars & dresses up like Sunny Deol. He is always saves Kasturi from Alka.

Sabharwal Family:-

Purshotam Sabharwal
Married to Devika, he supports his friend Dushant & his family much to his wife's dislike. He knows Devika very well & is aware that she won't let Kasturi come in Robbie's life.

Devika Sabharwal (Sheeba Chadha)
She wants to throw out Kasturi out of Robbie life & Singhania's out of Sabharwal house & get successful in doing so.

Robbie Sabharwal (Karan Patel)
He is a successful super rockstar who is very arrogant & is sued to always having his way. A complete brat, he doesnot believes in love. He is very attached to her mother Devika Sabharwal & childhood friend Raunak. Initially he use to hate Kasturi but gradually he deeply falls in love with her. He hates Raunak for marrying Kasturi. He proposes Kasturi on Raunak's Chautha.

Alaana Sabharwal (Priti Gupta)
She is besotted by husband Nikhil. She dislikes Kasturi & always tries to put her down in front of others.

Divya Sabharwal (Mel)
She gets pregnant with her boyfriend Sagar's child & later on does an abortion. She considers Raunak as her brother. On day of Raunak & Kasturi wedding, she tells Robbie the truth about the abortion reports.

Shivani Sabharwal (Mouni Roy)
She was in love with Raunak but on day of marriage she left him as she realized she loved someone else. She loses her mental balance & is admitted in mental asylum by Raunak. She is brought back to home by Devika.

Ariv Sabharwal()
He finishes his IIT studies & comes back home. He opens a call centre. Ariv & Vikas don't go hand in hand. He hates Vikas as because of him he lost one of his leg in childhood. He is too possessive about Tanu & makes her get married to Vikas for his own selfish reasons. When Tanu falls for Vikas he breaks Vikas's car breaks because of which Vikas gets paralyzed.

Singhania Family:-

Dushant Singhania
Purshotam Sabharwal's best friend & business partner who stays with her family at Sabharwal house.

Nandini Singhania
Dushant's wife who is sweet & caring in nature but is brainwashed against Kasturi by Devika. She starts hating Kasturi & blames her for every mishap in the house.

Raunak Singhania (Jatin Shah)
Dushant & Nandini's son, he is Robbie's childhood best friend, he is simple & sweet. He understand Robbie better than anyone else in the world. He marries Kasturi to save her reputation but falls in love with her. He dies & late ron returns back in the show. It is revrealed he never loved Kasturi & used her to destroy Robbie.

Alaana's husband, he knows his wife is besotted by him so he conveniently parks himself at his in laws place & lives off them. He is a very demanding boss who dislikes Kasturi & hence gives her lot of grief. He has an extra martial affair with his employee Pooja.

Shakuntala
She is Pooja's mother for whom money is everything. She tells Pooja to marry Ajay as it's her passport to gave an affair with Nikhil. She always supports he rkids in wrong doing.

Girish (Naman Shaw)
Kasturi's fiance who purposely burns JP's shop for claiming insurance money but after knowing the truth JP cancels the wedding. He falls in love with Drishti & marries her.

Ishita Mital (Garima Bhatnagar)
Robbie childhood friend who is in love with him. She proposes Robbie after Kasturi gets married to Raunak but he refuses her proposal.

Divya's boyfriend who choses his career over Divya & leaves her when she gets pregnant with his baby.

The man with whom Kasturi family was going to get her married to who was more than JP's age.

Shivani's friend who gives proof against Raunak to Kasturi. She later accuses Robbie of trapping Raunak but Devika is the mastermind behind all this.

Palash (Bharat Arora)
He was a rockstar but then Robbie took over his place. Palash leave the place & didn't touch musical instruments henceforth. He agrees to do concert for Raunak after being insulted by Robbie but later comes to know the real motive behind Robbie act & back's off.

Vishambarnath
He is Kasturi's Mausaji with whose family she stays in Banaras. He runs a saree shop where Kasturi helps him. He is very self respected person who considers Kasturi as his daughter.

Mrs.Vishambarnath
Vishambar's wife. She considers Kasturi like her daughter Drishti.

Drishti (Vinny Arora)
12th pass, she is bubbly; talkative & childish who doesn't know what to speak in front of people. Her marriage gets fixed with Girish. She he falls in love with him. She marries Girish.

Keshav
He is Vishambarnath's nephew who wants to get his house. He does some ghotala in the shop accounts & when he goes to burn the accounts book accidentally the entire shop catches fire.

KAHAANI AB TAK

The story is abt a simple girl named Kasturi Chawla for whom her family is everything. Kasturi's father JP aka Lalaji runs a saree shop who on finding out abt his heart disease, fixes Kasturi's wedding with a guy named Girish. Kasturi starts working for Sabharwal company to get money for her father's treatment. Girish's sister Pooja marriage gets fixed with Kasturi's cousin brother Ajay. Pooja has an affair with Robbie Sabharwal's sister Alaana's husband Nikhil. Robbie Sabhawal a super rockstar is introduced with whose speech Kasturi is quite impressed but she discovers his real face when she sees him romancing with a girl in the car. Robbie misbehaves with Kasturi on the occasion of Pooja at Sabharwal house & gets slapped by Kasturi. Devika Sabharwal, Robbie mom puts forward a deal in front of Kasturi tht in next 1 month if she manages 2 make Robbie responsible she will take up all the responsibility of her father's treatment & Kasturi agrees. Robbie hates Kasturi & tries his level best to throw her out of job by scaring her in d basement, mixing tablets in her drink, sending dress at her place but his fails as Robbie best frd Raunak Singhania whose famil ystays with Robbie always rescues Kasturi everytime. Robbie does an accident & Kasturi takes the blame which shocks Robbie completely.

Slowly he starts missing Kasturi & remember momets he spend with her & finally he realizes that he has fallen in love with Kasturi. Girish purposely burns Lalaji's saree shop for insurance money & Robbiue finds out this truth & lands up at wedding & delcares his love for Kasturi & creates a big fuss. Raunak comes there with all proof against Girish & says whatever Robbie did was an act. The wedding is called off. Outside, Kasturi thanks Robbie for doing the act but he leaves a puzzled Kastrui saying whatever he did inside said inside was not a lie or a drama. Raunak tells Kasturi that Robbie is deeply in love with her. Fifteen days pass, Robbie has a concert for which he goes in Mussrie. Girish has plan an attack on Robbie & he tells Kasturi about it. There is an attack on Robbie but Kasturi saves Robbie. Robbie questions her regarding as to why she cares about him & she admits she loves him. There are some cute romantic moments between the two while Pooja decides to find out whats going on between Robbie & Kasturi.

Devika comes to know about it & she decides to seperate them & waits for an apportuniy which she finally gets when she gets hands on abortion report which has Raunak-Kasturi's name written on it. Devika with help of Nikhil manages to brainwash Robbie against Raunak-Kasturi & makes him belief that Raunak-Kasturi betrayed him. Robbie insults Kasturi-Kaushalya at the party which hits the headlines of every newspaper next day. Bauji disowns JP-Kaushalya-Kasturi. Kasturi marriage is being fixed with a man twice JP age when Raunak comes there & proposes Kasturi for marriage & both get engaged the same day. Devika decides to get Raunak-Kasturi married the next day before Robbie chnages his mind. On Kasturi mehendi fuction being conducted at Sabharwal house Robbie comes back & inuslts Kasturi's family yet again. Divya comes back & she tell Devika truth about the abortion reports being hers & Kasturi did everything to save her. Devika locks her up in a room & decides to get Raunak-Kasturi married before Divya opens her mouth in front of Robbie but Divya gets free & tells Robbie the truth. Kasturi is in her room in bridal dress ready to go down when the lights go off & she is shocked to see Robbie in front of her. Robbie tells Kasturi to come back in his life while Raunak leaves decision on Kasturi who choses to marry Raunak. Raunak & Kasturi get married while Robbie looks on.

Kasturi and Raunak get married and Robbie imagines them getting close. However Robbie makes up his mind to win back Kasturi. Some one warns Kasturi about Raunak and she assumes Might be Robbie did it all. Raunak and Kasturi share some sweet moments, however both consider each other to be their friend. Kasturi asks Robbie to move ahead in his life, but he wants Kasturi back in his life. When Raunak and Kasturi go to their honeymoon, Kasturi gets few gifts, when she comes to know the gifts have been sent by none other than Robbie she gets furious and goes to confront him.

Raunak's past is revealed. The skeleton found was claimed to be of Shivani who is Robbie sister. Raunak & Shivani were going to get married but didn't as on day of wedding Shivani refused to marry. Raunak is arrested for killing her but is later released as Shivani who has lost he rmental balance is brought to court by Kasturi. The girl is burkha was Tanya who gives proofs against Raunak.Tanya accuses Robbie of trapping Raunak. Devika had planted Tanya in order to separate Singhania's & Sabarwal's. Robbie transfer his entire property in Raunak's name. Robbie puts his concert opposite to the one Raunak organized because of which Raunak suffers huge loss. Robbie sends the loss amount to Raunak which Robbie Manager gives to Kasturi. Robbie opens a music company named after Kasturi. There is a new entrant in the show Palash who was a rockstar but his career came to an end when Robbie entered the music world. Palash agrees to do concert for Raunak's company.

On the day of concert, Palash says to everyone he can't perform. Kasturi accuses Robbie of plotting all this. Raunak loss contract to Robbie. The police comes to arrest Raunak but Kasturi comes there & says that she is the MD of Singhania company so she should be arrested not Raunak. Kasturi is released as Robbie takes the blame. Ajay meets with an accident which is done by Vikas. Raunak takes the accident blame. Kasturi misunderstands Robbie & ends up slapping him. Robbie declares war against Raunak & Kasturi. Ajay gives statement in Raunak's favour.Chawla family find out about Vikas & Tanu. JP's family leave the house & stay in Dharamshala. Devika poisons Nandini's mind against Kasturi. Kasturi gets a job in a company which is taken over by Robbie. Robbie puts forward condition in front of Kasturi to release Raunak from jail which she accepts. Raunak is back.

Raunak Kasturi consummate their marriage. Vikas & Tanu get married. It is revealed that Ariv & Tanu are have an affair. While saving Shivani, Raunak falls in water & dies. Robbie proposes Kasturi for marriage who accepts to marry him as she thinks he killed Raunak & wants to take revenge for that. Robbie Kasturi get married. Kasturi said she is pregnant with Raunak child. Devika with help of Doctor proved that Kasturi is four weeks pregnant & Robbie believed that Kasturi is pregnant with his child.JP has an heart attack. Robbie & Kasturi reach there. Kasturi starts falling for Robbie again. Kasturi tells Devika she wants to end this war. Tanu buys the Chawla House. JP questions her about the money & she says Robbie gave it to her. Devika is back from her Australia trip. Devika keeps Ajay & Pooja's daughter naam karan ceremony at Sabharwal House. During the ceremony somebody cuts the rope of jhumar which falls on JP & Robbie. JP needs blood & Kasturi's blood group matched but she can't give as she is pregnant. Kasturi confesses she isn't pregnant. The man who cut the rope says Kasturi gave him money to do so.

Gaurav comes at Sabharwal house & says Kasturi killed Raunak. He also says she was making Robbie mad in order to get his property. Kasturi is arrested. Robbie accepts he killed Raunak & Kasutri is released from jail. Robbie meets with an accident & goes in coma. Kaushalya & Kasturi go to Banaras. They starts a new life there. The show takes a year leap. Robbie shows some improvement & to celebrate this Lohri function is kept at Sabharwal house. Kasturi is staying with her Mausaji, Massji who has a daughter Drishti. Purshotam, Devika go to Banaras for Robbie's treatment. Mausaji & Kasturi come to Varanasi station to receive Drishti's dulha where Robbie sees Kasturi but she couldn't. Kasturi is shocked on finding that Girish is the person with whom Drishti's marriage talks are going on. Girish tells Drishti about his past & their marriage gets fixed. Kasturi's Mausaji's family shift to Purshotam's haveli which is said be to cursed. Viadji who is taking care of Robbie is going out of town for a couple of days & gives his responsibility to Kasturi. Kasturi doesn't know the patiebt is Robbie as it is covered with a lape bandage. Robbie and Kasturi share some moments, Kasturi talks to him without realizing she is sharing her pain with Robbie.

Drishti's marriage functions are going on. Kasturi tries her level best to escape Girish's mother but she sees her & demands 10 lakh rupees if she wants the marriage to happen. Kasturi goes to Malaysia to give saree assignment so that money she gets from it she can hand it over to Shakuntala. At Malaysia, she comes across with Bikram Raichand, who is a big tycoon there who is Raunak's lookalike. Later on it is revealed that he is Raunak himself who was playing the game whole while just to destroy Robbie. Shivani helped him all along & Gaurav was his friend. Kasturi is disgusted with Raunak & she comes to know Raunak has appointed a killer to shot Robbie during his concert. She rushes back to Mumbai remembering each & every moment she spend with Robbie. She reaches the concert. Rockstar Robbie is back but he hates love & Kasturi now.

Kasturi goes back to Banaras. She tells JP about Raunak. JP, Kaushalya & Kasturi reunion takes place. Robbie & Kasturi unite. Robbie insults Kasturi at the party & we come to know that reunion was all Robbie's plan. He still believes Kasturi married her for money. JP asks Kasturi not to meet Robbie again. Kasturi meets Robbie's soon to be fiancee Anita who is planted by Raunak & her aim is to destroy Robbie. Robbie insults Kasturi once again & returns back to Delhi.

Kasturi comes to Delhi & Sabharwal house claiming to be Robbie's wife. Whenever she tries to expose Anita the efforts go in vain. There is entry of a new character names Massi who makes a situation where in destiny also takes her side & Robbie Kasturi are stuck in a place together. Robbie starts caring for Kasturi. Anita's plan begin to foil, whatever scheming she does to throw out Kasturi Massi comes to her rescue each time.

Nikhil comes to know Anita & Raunak are together. He decides to blackmail Anita. During the engagement, Maasi shows Anita clipping of her and Raunak, where in she confesses that she wants to destroy Robbie, but at the end min Nikhil changes the CD. Just when the ring ceremony is about to begin, Robbie backs out saying he cant do this engagement as he has always loved Kasturi and he doesn't care what the world thinks of Kasturi the fact remains he loves her. Robbie Kasturi unite.

Kaushaluya meets a man hidingly. It is revealed later that he is Kasturi's father. Love again blossoms betwen Robbie & Kasturi. Raunak's parents find him in a hospital & bring him back to Sabarwal House. He pretends to have amnesia. Kasturi tries to tell everyone about Raunak truth but no one believes her. Kasturi tries to burn Raunak & is deemed mentally unstable by the family. Robbie is helpless. Kasturi is given medication to subdue herself. Pooja wants Nikhil to adopt her daughter. It's revealed to audience that Kasturi has been faking her condition & she tries to expose Raunak to Robbie but fails. Robbie and Kasturi get into scuffle; there is a fire from gun. Kasturi is shot & falls from cliff. Robbie thinks he shot her but it's Maasi. Massi had joined hands with Raunak & Anita as she hates Devika & wants property.

Kasturi is in a ashram but has reverted to a childlike state even when she is brought back to Saberwal house does not recognize anyone, not even her family. Massi double crosses Raunak & Anita. Both are arrested. Pooja hires a man to kill Anaita but he kills Nikhil. Alka tries to bring out Kaushalya secret but fails. There is entry of a new girl Kiran who Robbie saves from goons & brings her home. Alka gets to know about Nikhil's murder. Pooja. Shakuntala & Alka see Nikhil ghost. They gets scared. They are sent to mental asylum bu Ajay. We find out that it was all Ajay & Nikhil's plan. Nikhil asks Alaana to forgive him for his mistakes & she does so. Nikhil gives back Ajay his daughter. Robbie is shown being drawn towards Kiran & starts suspecting her. Kiran tries to kill Kasturi but doesn't succeed. It is reevaled that Massi had brought her in the house. Massi & Kiran do black magic on Robbie. Kasturi tries to tell Robbie truth about Kiran but fails. Kiran makes Robbie sign papers under spell. Kasturi reaches there. Robbie comes out of spell. In the scuffle Kiran dies. Kasturi is injured and taken to hospital. Kasturi becomes normal.

Robbie & Kasturi marriage is fixed. Massi sells Robbie's property to business tycoon Kabir. Kabir puts forward condition in front of Kasturi that if she marries him he shall return back Robbie's property. Kasturi married Kabir. Kasturi told Robbie she married Kabir for money. Robbie has turned into a drunkard Kabir has 3 kids who refuse to accept Kasturi as their mother. Kabir's elder daughter Teejay risks her life by becoming surrogate mother of Nikhil & Alaana'a child. A truth about which everyone is unaware about. Robbie becomes friends with Sargam unaware of the fact that she is Kabir' daughter. Massi's is exposed by Robbie. She confesses her crime in front of Robbie & Devika. She falls off the cliff & dies. Robbie finds out that Kabir is a serial killer & he was married 3 times earlier before Kasturi. Teejay's family finds out about pregnancy. She is send to US for her treatment. Kabir confesses his crime in front of Kasturi & is about to kill her when Robbie along with Shrikant come there & save her. Kabir falls off cliff & dies. Devika says Kasturi to go away from Robbie's life.

Kasturi moves to Mumbai where she joins Singhania's company as Gayatri Singhania's personal assistant. Gayatri has three sons Abhimanyu, Ajink & Adwit. Gayatri's eldest son Abhimanyu falls in love with Kasturi. Robbie decides to start singing again. Abhimanyu & Robbie become friends. They discuss with each other about the girl they love without realising she is the same. Kasturi leaves Gayatri's job. She takes up a new job at Ujwal Chopra's company who is Abhimanyu's father. Ujwal is staying with his new nephew Sid & Sunakshi. Ujwal & Gayatri have separated years back. Sunakshi dislikes Kasturi. Sunakshi meets Robbie & invites him at her birthday party. Robbie & Kasturi come face to face at the party. Kasturi she manages to leave before he catches her.

Abhimanyu proposes Kasturi. Abhimanyu saves Ujwal from goons. The misunderstanding between Ujwal & Gayatri gets cleared. The duo unite. Abhimanyu takes Robbie to meet Kasturi. Robbie meets Kasturi & is shocked to find out that she is Abhimanyu's love. Abhimanyu & Kasturi's marriage preparation start. Robbie & Kasturi realise they can''t stay withoiut each other. They deide to talk to Abhimanyu & his family. Robbie goes to talk to them but is unable to do so. Robbie & Kasturi both decide to get separated. It's Abhimanyu & Kasturi's marriage day, Robbie goes to meet Kasturi in her room last time before the wedding. There is a emotional talk between them. In climax is similar to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai scene. Abhimanyu drags Kasturi to mandap. He reveals about Robbie-Kasturi's love. The show ends with ends with Robbie & Kasturi getting married.
