So the coming week we are getting a Hindi film theme Mehandi sequence and our Mahek & Shaurya are going to play the evergreen Raj & Simran from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge.

Let's list out other iconic onscreen romantic couples of Hindi cinema, who you think resemble our Mahek & Shaurya.

My favorite is Nandini & Sameer from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

I think Salman and Aishwarya look gorgeous together in this movie. I somewhere feel that there are minor resemblances in appearances with our leads and may be a few resemblances in the characters as well. Let's ignore the third wheel gadha in this movie, who unfortunately gets the girl, but the chemistry between Nandini & Sameer is outstanding.

Aditya & Geet from Jab We Met

I haven't watched this movie, but story has similarities and also Shahid & Kareena look good onscreen. I loved this very energetic Punjabi song from that movie. I also liked another song, Hum Jo Chalne Lage.

Hey...!

For me it'll be Raj & Simran...as I don't know any other iconic onscreen couples...! I have watched less than a dozen hindi movies in my life...! The first Bollywood movie I watched was DDLJ...4 years back, and I loved this couple so much that watched all their movies online, within one week...! In the beginning...I thought that SRK & Kajol were married in real too, as they look so comfortable...! The last I watched was PK...and I don't think PK and the lead actress (don't remember her name) can be placed in the same basket as the iconic couples of Indian Cinema...! 😃

Oops...forget to mention...! I searched for the actor Yusuf...PD favorite...! His second name Dalip Kumar, not Mehek's Khadoos Kumar...formed an iconic couple with actress Madhubala...! She was such a beautiful actress...with a rare beauty...! ⭐️

I am not very good with movies either. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam is in my tearjerker list, so I know it well.😛

It's being based on the real life incidents of a Bengali girl named Maitrayee Dasgupta and a Romanian guy named Mircea Eliade, who was later being considered for noble prize as well, in early 20th century. It's really sad that SLB did not bother to give credit to the said authoress.

Hmm. Interesting. I didn't know that. May be SLB was "inspired"😆 from not just that story but many similar stories. Not for SLB but I cry for the role Salman played in the movie.

Raj and simran ...all the way ...

Saying up on how shaurya is really naughty and wants her simrans back ...and mehak being simple sweet , at the same time the one who loves family !!!

The scenario is same here ...apart from tat raj and simran can set the screen on fire by ther chemistry !!

For mehndi...I think DDLJ song will b apt...

But for screen chemistry...I think Nandini and Sameer will suit more...As they use to have cute nok jhoks...And mahek looks a bit like Aishwarya...And SK is a fitness freak like SK (Salman Khan)

Dear they have already set their record as Mahyra. It will be nice to watch them as Raj and Simran. I loved their reversed role of Vasanti and Veeru. This Jodi will set the stage on fire , whomever they play. Having a great expectations from the upcoming track.
