Its really great Anku..YHM CVs got dis habit of forgetting many sub tracks which makes the show a complete joke...I wud still say dat d change n time slot started the downfall of YHM...Its uniqueness had been deprived and more importantly the character RKB was made a joker😭

This show was great because at one point in the show both the leads specially the female lead was shown making mistakes, shown with insecurities and shown that they both had darks pasts. Also at the 11 pm slot this show brought up issues that are tabbo to talk about in the desi society. They use to push boundaries. So why change that now and why are trp more important in the quality?

My biggest problem with the cvs at the 7.30 slot has to be that they bring up sensitive issues and do not treat is properly. They have literally take rape, harassment, suicidal tendency, even child labour, abuse (emotional abuse counts) so lightly. These are serious issues in our society yet they choose to show these issues are no big deal. Its a big slap in our faces and specially those have gone through those horrible experiences.

Hey dear. I am so sorry for replying this late. I got occupied and forgot that a few replies were still pending. My issue with this show. The biggest one is that Raman and Ishita were equals in the show, and had a balanced input towards the story.. But now it's just one ended. To glorify the female lead and to give a push to feminism they've somehow forgotten the idea that a married life and home takes two to work. A man and woman both are equally responsible for it. And if only the woman is highlighted it makes the relation, which is the core of the show here look weaker. YES I agree that this lap of the show is more about Ishita's fights as a mother and wife. But that does not give the show an excuse to weaken the male lead which they themselves created with such beauty.

Secondly the most major flaw is them having such brilliant and sensitive issues riding the show. But only a few were handled well. Once the show rose in numbers, their work seemed to be done. The writers got lazy and just simply forgot everything, and took an easy route of showing everything in a shortcut. How can Ishita's insecurities be jumped over, how can Adi's transformation and acceptance of the family be skipped? Why the haste? Seems like the audience is being taken for granted.

I dont mind parallel tracks in the show but like everyone else I wish their would one track that just focused on the couple themselves. I am maybe the minority in this but I actually was enjoying Simmi's parallel track until they brought the whole Subbu-Simmi marriage. It seemed so illiogical because they just rushed into the whole marriage when Simmi didnt get time to grieve. No matter how your spouse was, you need time to grieve because you were betrayed. Why couldn't they show Simmi doing something for herself and they bring her remarriage way after in the show. It would have more realistic.

I enjoy multiple tracks, side characters stories too. But if they keep constantly interrupting with the flow of the leads story then it gets annoying. If that formula is used once or twice its fine. But the issue is that creatives give us NO scene or track that just individually concentrates on IshRa. I don't remember one track in this show that could be named as the Mohabbatein track. It's always been a small part of big dramatic tracks. Although I cannot take away the brilliance with which they created and developed this pair. Till today they are the best couple so far, at least when it comes to them shown in a mature relation in an urban story line.

I wish the cvs would realize that they have such an amazing cast. The supporting and the child casts that improves each and every track that is handed to them. The cast is their biggest assets, so give them tracks that bring out their best acting. Its kind of sad that the cvs don't believe in their own product like us fans do.

I am just disappointed on the realization the creatives take strict efforts only until the show picks numbers. Once that is done, they stop caring and just give us a jumble of sorts and expect us to be happy with it. YHM STILL has so much scope for a better story and treatment if they made the effort

Sorry for the long post. Wonderful post 😊

You have voiced all our concerns and presented them so beautifully, and your post sums up everything that has been bothering most of the loyal viewers since the past few months.

I have been an ardent viewer and admirer of YHM since Dec 3, 2013. I have always been awed by the whole package - the issues addressed, the brilliant writing, awesome character sketch of not just the leads but each character in the show, the heart-touching and amazing performances by the leads and the ensemble cast, and the realistic touch given to the tracks making them all so relatable. And I can't help but acknowledge the fact that everything was perfect till the time slot change, when the quality and approach started going downhill..simple and subtle scenes replaced by grand setup and high drama..deep, sensible and meaningful conversations replaced by silly comedy.

But like most of you, I, too, haven't given up, and have been watching with the hope that if this same team could give us such a brilliant show in the initial months, then they can and hopefully will do it again.

I agree. We don't give up only because the same show has offered so much brilliance that we have hopes that it can resurrect and give us some more such tracks. But not just the slot change but even the rising numbers inspite of disappointing tracks have made the creatives simply lazy to offer us anything better than what we get. For Indian shows, glorifying thr leading lady and giving us kitchen drama is the basic formula. YHM has started to approach that formula but just the tip yet. Hope not to see them give up on the rather brilliant tracks they can invest in exchange for the usual melodrama's any other mundane show also offers. YHM is different and should remain so.

i loved how u summed up everything each thought on the show right now going in most people's mind...
No-doubt we had somewhere settled with what is being shown..somewhere had stopped expecting more but at sametime no-doubt show has not lose its complete sense which can bounce bk if cv's bit get more careful on balancing out a track & balancing both lead characters...
gives more bit sensitive ends to track which they start with much interesting way...
Thanks Anku for this thread,... someone putted all the points across in right way..
congrats for making ur 1st post 👏

Yes dear. The show is not as bad as the others. It still makes so so much more sense and still has decent tracks and a brilliant case. Which together is a boon for any show. The creatives should utilize it to their best and not serve as the same over and over again by just trying to change the package on the outside.

The show still has chances to improve. Although it cant change tracks that went by. There's scope of a different treatment ahead of this. If they really want to though.

JUST HOPE THAT CVs kindly give atleast half of this a read! hum dhannya hojayenge 😆

IT took a while but im here and anyhow, better late than never. We are YHM fans after all 😆
ive been busy with exams and these past two days friends and family but finally a sunday to myself, and this had to be given my time.

Anku, babooo WORD. word for every sentence, each word and letter youve said. You should have done this earlier maybe when the CVs were actually interested in visiting the forum and seeing and knowing what their viewers want 🤔 but Alas, i guess we didnt have a podium of complaints eitherways back then, na?
As we keep saying, Wallah if we get our hands on this show, the scope that this show has with regards to the story, how it started, the characters, actors and most importantly, the amazing leads, what all could we have done, i mean HOW MUCH SCOPE DOES THIS SHOW HAVE!!??
Why are they doing this to their own baby? How can you just be so unfair to your own baby? I swear at times i feel like theyre just loving it garnering sadistic pleasure by giving their own baby this slow death. MAKE A MOCKERY OUT OF EACH STANCE, EACH TRACK, EACH CHARACTER, AND THEIR SHOW! That is what theyre doing and its honestly pathetic. As you said, every track starts and sounds and looks as promising as can be and we are in for surprise... shock, rather... each time! Because they give the most pathetic, abrupt, nonsensical and comical endings to tracks OR WAIT! HOW CAN I FORGET? we dont get closures, we dont deserve it, so the tracks dont end... they just suddenly vanish into thin air, completely erased from the memories of the characters and show. WHY? WHY OH WHY? 🤔

the WONDERS that they could do with the Mani/Ramans insecurity track, the wonders they could do with Adi and Ishita Adi, the wonders they can be doing with Ishitas infertility issue... i mean, WHO ARE WE? dont we deserve to be shown any SENSE if we are watching a serial that airs at a prime slot? is this a requirement that the shows have to be nonserious and senseless if they are being aired at prime time? its like YHM at 11 and YHM at 7:30 are 2 absolutely different shows yaar! How i would give anything to get the old YHM back :(

Anyways, we are being typical us... humans, and being complaint boxes but i really dont think that theres any unfair ask that we have here, All we demand for is some sense in the show. that SHREE ISHITA MAATA DEVI GODDESS that she is, by mistake does commit a mistake that is a MISTAKE and not show that that MISTAKE of hers also was a good step... i mean the hero has to be a dumb furniture just to add a bit of romance here and there and the rest of the time, he has to stand in the corner, and /or shed tears. GET OVER THAT YAAR! this is about RAMAN and ishita so let it be that way! Its annoying how maata is never wrong and the whole thing revolves around her ALONE now. earlier it was ramans family, ramans, kids, ramans problems, ishitas family, ishitas ruhi, ishitas problems... then ISHRA... and the focus that the main GUY lead was given was just so appeasing, was so thankful.. but NOW!? 🤔 ishitas husband ishitas house ishitas kids ishitas inlaw ishitas parents ishitas jeeju ishitas friends ishita ishita ishita.. MAATA. i need a break. i need a break from ishita who never errs (which isnt human BTW) and i want IshRa... ISHRA TOGETHER... for a change.

Already this earthquake and fire and superwoman ishita saving them is getting on my nerves 🤔 but alas!

IS THERE ANYONE WHOS EVEN HEARING US OUT?

sorry if this got supremely long. You DO know for a fact that there is so much more that i have to rant but lemme stop right here 😆

Id like to thankyou for this thread kuuu 🤗

Reenz I am so glad you vented here too. We keep venting in our own convos so we both know what all of us really want from the show. And none of it is unfair. There have been times when many others complained and we were protective and defended the show. It had its lows many times but we kept our hopes and faith in the show. Definitely the show did keep up to the promise for a while. But the slot change and rise in numbers has totally taken it down We still keep hoping and expecting but now one track after the other has been ruined.

The Mani track. Raman feeling guilty and wanting to run away from Ishita to Singapore, Adi transformation and now the infertility track. One after the other everything has been rushed and ended pathetically. What was the haste? What train do they have to even catch 😕

I don't think our demands are unfair at all. The show itself gave us such high limits of expectations that one can't not hope for better from them..

I don't mine Ishita being shown as a superwoman. Women are powerful, lot more sensible and sorted then men are. As a woman myself I have pride in saying that. But that does not mean a man is useless and does nothing in the family and in a marriage. He's equally important. And what's most important is both the man and woman are HUMAN'S. Which was the highlight when this show began. Now it's just glorification and biased treatment. I MISS MY OLD YHM REENZ

@Aani - WOW I think your post should be my main post. 😆Mine seems insufficient in front of yours. I agree to every point. Every track is ended abruptly, with so much comedy even when that comedy is not needed. Like Mani track, the recent Ishita being thrown out track and so many others. Earlier on every track on the show got its deserving end, a fitting conclusion which added to effectiveness of it. Now although they start well, they lost plot towards the middle and totally in the end. Raman and Ishita were both human at one point and now, just seem to be two extremes. One being shown useless, other being shown way too useful 😆 I am sorry but I am feminist, but that does not mean I don't think of myself as human and rather as some almighty. My biggest complain is the imbalance which ends up making the core of the show weak, which is the mohabbat and the couple of the show. Not because I have a favourite in just one of the leads, My love was equal for both, and still is. Just want the balance back..

Also sensitive topics such as infertility, marital rape, and relation development deserve more sensitivity and less humour. Of course being comical is important too, but not everything is a joke in life. If you cannot serve this issues correctly, why even touch their surface. The lack of treatment puts me off. Which was earlier the highlight.

Your each example and complain is apt, I don't think even my topic says it as beautifully as you do. To conclude I'll just say YHM still has its heart in the right place. It still is way more decent and beautiful in comparison to other shows. If it really puts in an effort, the show and writing could all gain its momentum again even though it can't correct the previous mistakes.
